We bought our tickets online for $23, they go up daily. They were $29 at the gate the day we went. We took our time and brought our own snacks. We stayed about 3 hours. The grounds are on the smaller side for a zoo but clean and beautiful with ample areas to sit and eat/enjoy the park. There is a small playground too There are touristy things to pay extra for if you wanted. Also a cafe and gift shop. I did notice that while the animals seemed healthy the enclosures they live in are too small. The giraffes can watch traffic! I had to take a star for that.

The animal enclosures seem small to me but I'm positive the zoo and Davis' vet partnership makes sure the animals are happy and healthy! Tickets were $28 per person, purchasing a day before. I would recommend planning your trip in advance because it saves you $5-10 a ticket. I appreciate they allow outside food and drink, we were able to bring our own coffee and lunch which made walking around more enjoyable. This is a pretty versatile zoo for it being smaller. We saw all the animals during our visit between 9-12 and they recommend coming in the morning when animals are more active. Though there are lots of children and it's geared towards families, I would still recommend this for a couple's date or short outing with friends. Support the local zoo!

If you're in…read moreSacramento with little ones, this is easily one of the best ways to spend a morning or afternoon. You can easily spend half a day here without anyone getting bored. What We Loved Immersive Play: The range of play structures is incredible. Our kids were obsessed with the recreations of famous children's books--walking through Mr. McGregor's Farm felt like stepping right into a storybook. Animals & Nature: Beyond the slides and climbing, the petting zoo and the peaceful Japanese pond (Urashima Taro) provided a great change of pace for the kids. Interactive Learning: The children's theatre is a gem. They have dedicated storytime and puppet shows that kept the toddlers completely engaged. Why It's a Must-Visit What makes this place even more amazing is that it's a non-profit. Knowing that your $10 admission (an absolute steal for the quality of the park!) goes back into maintaining such a creative space for the community makes the experience even better. It's right across from the Sacramento Zoo, so you can make a full day of it in Land Park if you have the energy! Perfect for ages 1-6, but even older kids will enjoy the nostalgia and creative structures.

Amusement park in Sac (Land Park)…read more Currently, admission is $10/person. (Kids under two are free.) They also have some member options that are worth it if you plan to go frequently. Parking can get a bit difficult, since it's also close to the Zoo and Funderland. There are areas to slide, climb, and play. Also, there are animals (goats, rabbits, chickens/rooster, ox, mini horse, pigs) inside. The gift shop mostly contains generic items that don't say Fairytale Town, which don't make for the best of souvenirs. If you've never been here before, you can likely count on your kid enjoying at least a couple of hours here before getting bored. I'd say it's geared more for the younger children...older kids would probably benefit more from visiting the other two nearby attractions.
