Found this company through Costco. Just had the weirdest encounter with a designer named Lorelei. She came to our house to check it out and produce a quote for us. The experience was not what I expected at all. She didn't even make it past the front door. I told her we are turning our home into an Airbnb and she proceeds to tell me that she doesn't think it's priority for us to do the blinds and that the company isn't 1. Cost efficient and 2. That she's surprised we aren't DIYing the blinds. What an awkward experience. The customer should always be the one to tell the business what they are wanting and needing not the other way around. She assumed a lot about me, my house, and my priorities. And then asked why I was so quiet? It's because you already have it all figured out for me right? I'm good, thanks for trying! read more

I felt like all they cared about was selling me their products. They didn't do any customization. The quote was so basic it didn't offer any pricing differences based off choices. The first guy that showed up acted as if the type of blinds the home already has was impossible to replace based off fit and overplayed just how ingenious the creators of my blinds had been. I found Arjays through Costco. This company is awesome! Debra came to my home with books of samples for custom blinds for my living room. She was very patient as I tried to decide what would look best. I was looking at window treatments about a month before the holidays. Debra explained that I probably wouldn't have the blinds before Christmas. I'm pleased to report that they installed the blinds before Christmas! The installer, Arnold was very pleasant and efficient with the installation. Debbie, the office manager was also very friendly and nice each time I spoke with her. I had a small issue with one of the blinds and Arjays sent Arnold back to look at it, he agreed, the blind should be replaced. He took it and it was replaced within a few weeks. It's so refreshing to work with a company that is friendly, ethical and does excellent work. Appointments were scheduled and the technicians always were on time, no cancellations or "no shows"! I was very impressed with everyone we dealt with from this company. The decorator, Evelyne Saul was a delight to work with and their installers Everret and Marco were excellent. We replaced all the window treatments in our home and everything that we ordered came out perfect. All the measurements were dead on. I was very pleased with the designer consultation by Debra, and the measurement and installation of my Graber blinds. The designer was patient with me as I explored different options, in particular the "bottom up, top down configuration. I love how the blinds look and blend with my pre-existing ones. The installer Danny was very professional, competent and worked hard. The blinds in my garden window were a particular challenge and he persevered like a champ. In addition, he went above and beyond cleaning up the areas of installation. One would never have known that he had been there. Lastly, for those that are concerned, the installer wore carpet protecting booties and a face mask. I just want to say how disappointed I am with Arjay's customer service. I ordered window treatments for 4 windows through CostCo. Two window treatments arrived and installed perfectly. The other two had issues. The one window that upset me was a slider that had to be reordered since the controls were on the wrong side. Once they were installed the 2nd time, the edge of the panels hung too far into the window, by an inch. I called the designer and she advised me nothing could be done and never came out to see the issue. I advised her it was a manufacturer issue and still no assistance. I felt that since I am a Costco customer I was 2nd rate. Very disappointing since I worked with Costco 5 years ago and had a great experience. Their installer Kurt is great. We ordered three custom blinds in our family room and a custom blind in our guest bedroom. They are very durable and we are very happy with the one in the bedroom. However, in the family room they have these new Safety poles that literally break off when you use them. This was not working for us and they came out and reevaluated our situation and re-ordered us brand new blinds with a motorized remote control. They represent Costco online window coverings. Thry originally didn't complete the job because they arrived without the proper order. Now, I've been waiting several months for the Costco rebate that never arrived. The best response I received from Evelyne with the company is an email stating "rebates take 4-5 weeks to process." After contacting Costco, my order was never signed off as completed which means, NO REBATE. Window Product Management/Arjays dropped the ball and would have never followed up with me, never. Product was eventually ok. The 1 star is for service. Ordered 2 simple roller shades on February with their consultant . July 14 is when finally the shades are done. Designer never followed up even thought I called her to let her know all of the mistakes received-Too long, too short and missing parts. The only way I got results ( if you call results 4 months of mistakes) by directly calling the office. Ok. All I wanted to do was to support a local business. I did my due diligence and had 3 local window treatment companies come out and measure and access what it was I wanted. I don't want to support HD or Lowes if I can help it. Evelyn was very amiable and she knew what I wanted. I placed an order and it ended up in 3 different times, over 3 months! I was told the longest time to wait for was for the Plantation Shutters. 6 to 8 weeks. Then it turned into 8-10 weeks. Now it's 10-12 weeks. All I hear are excuses of... Thanksgiving week, Xmas week, New Years week, Pandemic, and no one in the office wants to give me a fricken week now. And on top of the very pricey Honeycomb shade in my living room, it came off the bracket. When the guy comes tomorrow to fix it, I may read him the riot act although he's just the messenger. Signed a contract with their rep Angela Saks on 4/12/21. The price was higher than other quotes, but since it was backed by Costco I was willing to pay the premium. I was promised an installation within 3-4 weeks max. Ms. Saks was professional and knowledgeable. I was required to pay the full amount up front. After the payment she became a lot less interested in the project. I had to do all the follow up. The blinds are still not installed. We now have a 6/8/21 date for a partial installation because the fascia are still no where to be found. High price, lousy service! I do not recommend this business. read more

So as it turns out this company is contracted with Costco Westlake (other locations?) as a warehouse vendor. How Costco allows this company to represent them is beyond me. I saw the booth at the Costco in Westlake and arranged to have the representative (his name escapes me) come out for an estimate. When he did not show up for our appointment I called him and he said, I have you down for three o'clock. I knew it was for one o'clock, but I didn't say anything. Later, he admitted that he made a mistake and it was for one o'clock. Long story short, his customer service skills were lacking not only for his appointment faux pas, but his communication was poor. He never returned calls and I always had to follow-up with him and he always had one excuse after another. We called him to put in an order with him and he never bothered to call us back!!! I am so glad we went with Budget Blinds of Thousand Oaks instead! Turns out they use the same product made by Graber. read more

Once upon a time this company was great! We uses them to do complete window coverings for three homes. Each order in access of $9,000.00 This time it was a disaster! - Started with Marilyn Mame - design consultant. Emotionless and in it to make a good commission. - After a fairly long wait they sent an installer who was, with all due respect, 75 + years old. I was afraid he's take a tumble. Totally confused, the man asked me to give him the drapes. "What drapes?" Well, they forgot to give HIM the drapes! I called and requested anyone but him. - Week later they sent another crew. This time they sent the WRONG COLOR drapes. We also had 8 Roman shades made by them. The installer installed them incorrectly where one side with go up and the other would remain down. I cannot understand how this company is a vendor for Costco, who has such high standards. I have also written to Costco. read more
