    Mandoo and Fried Shrimp Shumai

Started with the mandoo and fried shrimp shumai. I always try the mandoo at Korean spots because if it's good, the rest of the food usually is too. The mandoo was crispy and delicious. The fried shrimp shumai was also really good and was something I hadn't tried before. Both came with a sauce that paired well. I ordered the spicy pork for my entree and loved it. It was one of my favorite versions I've had at the Korean restaurants I've tried. The side dishes were also great, with plenty of options. Everything was flavorful and paired well together. The service was fantastic! Definitely will be back.

We love this place. Everyone is so kind and welcoming. Menu is large with plenty of options. They have a lunch menu which is nice. I love their steamed egg appetizer. Perfect for anyone especially with kids who love eggs. I love their spicy pork bulgogi. I've gotten lunch and dinner portions in this and it's always a generous portion. Inside is updated and super clean!

Stumbled upon this cozy spot on my weekend trip. It was early in the day, so service was great since there were not that many customers yet. I ordered the LA Galbi but regretted my decision shortly after the meal was brought out. I saw the poster for their special only after I had already ordered the above. The LA Galbi was in huge chunks that I struggled to eat, and the marinade made the meat appear pink, which threw me off and ruined my enjoyment of the dish as a whole. The waiter was gracious enough to take it back to the kitchen to be recooked, since I did not really trust the explanation for the meat's pinkness being just from the marinade. Fortunately, I was given scissors that let me eat the meat in bite-sized pieces. Their banchan was, unfortunately, not to my liking. Overall, my experience was tainted by what I ordered but the service was awesome.

It where's my first time at Arisu1099. It was a chilly day, the kimchi jjigae was perfect for this type of weather. It was flavorful, warms the soul kind of soup. It was a little spicy but I prefer it that way. The banchan were fresh and a great accompaniment. My favorite was the kimchi, fishcakes and seaweed salad. The restaurant was cozy. They have the option of grilling your own food. The service was outstanding. I will definitely be back.

Arisu1099 First off I genuinely can't say enough good things about this place. We got there last night at 7 and it was incredibly busy. We got seated within 5 minutes and the staff were some of the nicest people we've ever met Food came out incredibly fast, server was very sweet, and food was amazing! Extremely high quality, LOTS of food, flavors on point. I honestly can't think of anything negative to say even if I tried I HIGHLY RECOMMEND coming here! This will definitely be one of our new date night spot for sure ALSOOOOO all this food for $60 and we got an appetizer that's not in the picture. So extremely affordable as well Overall 9.8/10

If I haven't dined at the establishment before, I would've given this review 2 stars. First I want to say the service and side dishes were excellent. My problem was with the main dish the la galbi. I have had this same dish in the past and loved it. This time around it was not great.... The fat to actual meat ratio was off, I couldn't chew it but mostly had to swallow the pieces I tried to eat and the texture of the meat did not sit well with my stomach. This meal the meat in particular was a disappointment and will take a break from going here as often as I liked to.

The service is so good! They are very attentive and friendly. The restaurant is super clean and cute, and the servers clean off the tables so quick I love it lol. The food was even better and the portions are great sizes. I was so full had to take mine home. Definitely recommend them!

Heard new korean open, so we tried. New, Clean very nice inside. Service is great. Banchan were 3, 4 kinds. It's okay. In GA, normally more come... I ordered calamari and pork. Tasty... very good. But hard to find calamari. Not like pic on menu... wish had more in the dish. Wondering... in GA, every korean restaurants I go, they serve "Yakuruto" which is the little drink when server bring check. It's only GA thing? Never happen in SC yet. Will be back tho. Wanna try some other on the menu.

I lived in SoCal for a long time and I go to Atlanta occasionally where there are tons of good Korean restaurants so honestly I didn't expect much from a small Korean restaurant in Greenville and this place surprised me. (And I'm Korean so I have high standards for my Korean food!) My husband and I ordered seafood pancake (pajeon) for appetizer and tofu soup + beef bibimbap for the entrees. I loved that the bibimbap comes out in a big, piping hot stone bowl (as it should traditionally) and the veggies and gochugang sauce were so flavorful. Tofu soup was also pretty good though it was SPICY so I couldn't eat too much of it (if you cannot handle spice like me, this item is not for you!) Seafood pancake, on the other hand, wasn't my favorite - it was crispy on the outside which I appreciated but there was barely any seafood in it and was too doughy for me. The servers were very attentive and service here is really great. They play kpop on the speakers and the ambiance is vibrant. We went on a Friday night and the place was almost full. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone who is craving traditional Korean food in Greenville!

La Galbi - Marinated Beef Short Ribs

We visited Arisu tonight for the first time. This place was amazing. Great food, attentive service and a quaint ambiance. Tonight we ordered La Galbi / Marinated Beef Short and the Beef Bulgogi Stew as well as the Calamari. Everything was excellent. Flavorful and a great presentation. After dinner we agreed we would be back to try more of the menu !

the food here was very good. they have a very fun kids meal. my husband had the spicy beef stew and it was our favorite. i enjoyed the beef bulgogi bimbap. our son enjoyed the beef bulgogi kids meal. the beef bulgogi was so flavorful. the mandoo was so good and fresh. very good ginger flavor. the yukhwe was very interesting. it was a cold almost frozen raw shaved beef. with sesame oil. it was good. definitely a must try if you are adventurous. we also tried the guava ade and yuzu ade. it was so refreshing and not too sweet. the service was awesome. everyone was so nice. we chatted with someone from the back about the guava aid and yuzu aid and about how it would make an excellent cocktail. the restaurant is beautiful and cozy. it is beautifully decorated. it had a more modern take on old korean decor but it was really nice

I am not sure what everyone ordered so can only go into details about what my husband and I had and what murmurings I heard from the folks seated around me. I got the pork rib barbecue with soondubu (soft tofu stew). Hubs got the beef bulgogi with kimchi jigae (stew). There were also a variety of banchan. Some friends split the large BBQ combo which looked big as a house. Another friend ordered a bunch of dumplings. If I were to have one complaint, it would be that the menu wasn't beginner friendly. I'm personally well acquainted with Korean food but there were a couple folks in the group who had never had it before and didn't have enough info about what they were ordering. Many of the items in the "entrees" section are soups, but they don't say that they're soups and at least one friend was surprised that is what they ended up with. I wish I'd known they were struggling and could have helped them, but I'd recommend that the restaurant revise the menus a bit or at least have one page that defines some stuff for the beginners. Beyond that, no real complaints. The portions were large and I was very happy with everything I ate. The banchan were good, mostly representative of banchan I've had elsewhere though their bean sprouts were a bit different than I usually get (in a good way) and a couple of the radish dishes might have been a little too similar. The soondubu was good, a little less "fishy" than I'm used to; mine uses anchovy broth but maybe they don't? It wasn't spicy at all. The kimchi jigae was a little spicier. The BBQ pork rib was a little different than I was expecting from another restaurant I used to get that dish from, but not in a bad way, it was still very good but less saucy. Still had good flavor, and there was a lot of meat conveniently already removed from the bone for the most part. I like that they cook the food in back; while some might enjoy "make it yourself" BBQ; I prefer to focus on the company when I'm dining out. They were kind enough to split the checks, which with that many people is GREATLY appreciated and they made sure to point out that tip was already included prominently on the bill. Prices are very reasonable for Korean, which is often one of the pricier cuisines, especially given the portion sizes. It is not "cheap", but it is "reasonable" for what you get. I will absolutely organize another group meal here next time I'm in town, I'll just hold a little "Korean food 101" session for the noobs beforehand though to help them know how to order!

The food was very tasty and seemed pretty authentic- I had the doenjang jjigae (fermented soybean…read morepaste soup) which I was surprised to find on the menu since it's a funky flavor that's unique and very different to "American" taste profiles. It was very good! I liked that it had a good variety of Korean dishes beyond bulgogi and K-fried chicken, as much as I love both of those. I'll be back next time in Greenville. Restaurant was clean, not too loud, and service was a little slow but very friendly!

The place was surprisingly nice...very cozy, inviting ambiance with a warm, fuzzy color palette. Thoroughly Japanese in decor...complete with anime on TV screens. The menu was quite lush...SO much to choose from! They had a wide variety of ramen, as well as a long list of sushi (both nigiri and sushi rolls), as well as a variety of donburi and even poke bowls. Tons of appetizers too. LOVED their menu! I ordered the Spicy Tantanmen Ramen, and a Pork Bao Bun. My husband ordered Chicken Katsu (appetizer only), Shrimp Tempura, and a bowl of white rice. We also shared Edamame. Well, all I can say is WOW. Everything....I mean EVERYTHING was absolutely delish!! Actually, I think I got the wrong ramen... Instead of Tantanmen, I got the other Spicy Ramen (I think?)...and normally, I'd be upset about this, but my ramen was still SO good, I decided to let it go. The Bao Bun was good too!
