Great place for drinks with a nice environment and super friendly staff! Sarah was super awesome to chat with and learn some cool stuff.

Meet a friend here for drinks and the place a vibe. Well minus the flies outside so we couldn't enjoy the weather or the drink. Some fans out would help this problem but luckily a table opened up inside. The drink was very good and we couldn't taste the vodka at all! So I got a bottle to take for my bar. I most definitely will bring friends to try this spot again.

Aristotle bar and the amazingly kind Nick!

This tucked away distillery is a spin on a NC and Greek theme. Absolutely adorable, clean, modern, and the staff is super kind and knowledgeable. Their vodka and gin are made on site, and you can see the set up for that through windows. I'm not a beer drinker but frequent breweries around NC with family and friends, this place is right up my alley! Definitely recommend it!!

InStill Distilling - Aged Rum I had to take for a girls weekend in Durham

The spiced rum is also great and goes perfect with any spiced cocktail. Their aged rum is especially awesome on it's own but if you want to make an old fashioned it is a perfect substitute for whiskey. Another reason to love this distillery is the owner Eric is awesome! He is full of energy, so friendly and welcoming and passionate about what he does. They also always have something fun going on at the distillery! They do trivia nights, live music and parties for things like Halloween and Valentines. If I lived closer I would be there most weekends for the live music and great cocktails! The Rumrita, Claytona Beach, Old Fashioned, Painkiller and Mai Tai are all fantastic!

It's a really nice atmosphere and the customer service is great. The rum is decent. I feel like…read morethis place is missing something though. It has all the qualities to make for the sort of place that SHOULD be packed on Fridays and Saturdays with people playing ping-pong or another of the many, many games they have available to them. Their drink prices can be a little steep, so that could be why it's not more of a mainstay in terms of local nightlife. The prices aren't crazy expensive, but for 4 people you're looking at spending $50 - $60 which I don't think the people looking for a brewery or distillery vibe with games to chill over are willing to spend. My one gripe is a petty, silly, very small gripe. It's that, as a Puerto Rican, coquito is a drink that is meant to be gifted around the holidays to those we respect, love, and admire. It's also meant to be made with Puerto Rican rum. Having it on their menu is, frankly, cultural appropriation, particularly when the rum used is made from sugar from India and not Puerto Rico. It's not like the Pina Colada, which we invented but EVERYONE makes worldwide. Coquito has deeper meanings and roots on the island that are missed in a situation like this. I know no one's going to take me seriously for that one complaint, and I get it. It's just a personal thing. OUTSIDE OF THAT... The owners are SO FREAKING NICE. Every time we go, they're there, willing to chat, so open about sharing their experiences, so dang friendly. Every single time one of our friends visits from out of town, we bring them here after dinner. I love that we moved to a town that has this.

My husband and I visited recently for a bourbon tasting, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. Our mixologist, Berkay, was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging. He shared the history behind each spirit and walked us through the tasting notes in a way that was easy to understand and genuinely enjoyable. The food menu was another big win, especially as someone who eats vegan. They offered vegan options, which made the experience feel inclusive and well thought out This is a fantastic spot for date night, a girls' night, or celebrating something special. They also host tastings, cocktail classes, private parties, and bachelor or bachelorette events, which makes it a great option for future plans. Highly recommend if you're looking for a memorable experience in Durham that feels both fun and thoughtfully done.

We weren't even sure anyone would be inside Weldon Mills - thankfully they were. As you walk in it's just such a big space, lots of seating areas and visual interest. The bartender was very welcoming, and we think that he was happy to see us. We got our cocktails very quickly, and the bartender even explained some things about the distillery to us. We had such a nice time just relaxing and getting out of the rain. Sadly, I did not take note of the names of the cocktails that we got, but it is nice to see. They have a rotational menu. The drinks were fall themed. We will definitely come back!

And, it truly lived up to the hype. One of the best we've ever had! I also tried two other cocktails made with their house-distilled rum and gin, and both were delicious and perfectly balanced. The seasonal menu is creative and reasonably priced, we were genuinely impressed. The ambiance is charming and cozy despite a bit warm inside (the AC was pretty weak), but quiet and tastefully decorated with velvet couches, exposed walls, vintage touches, and fresh flowers on each table. We had fun flipping through their amazing cocktail book collection on the shelf too. The bartenders were very friendly and offered us focaccia from Ninth Street Bakery to pair with our drinks for free, which was such a thoughtful and tasty addition. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and are so happy to see a micro-distillery thriving in the heart of Durham. Can't wait to return for an official tour and to sample more of their spirits!

That response will get a smile every time. Super dog-friendly, to say the least, both outside and inside. Outside has several tables under a covered area, and inside has a few couches (with tiny tables) and a long bar you can sit at. We've been a few times now, and the service is super friendly and helpful, every time. It's small and intimate inside, but we never have a problem finding a seat! I love that they have snacks you can help yourself to, in airtight jars at the bar (peanut butter filled pretzels, sour worms, etc). Also important to note- the inside is NOT air conditioned. We stopped in on a HOT day, and it's brutal inside, with cloth couches and just one small fan. Love this bar, all of their cocktails (wine available too), and all of the staff! Will be back (a lot)!!

This is the first local craft distillery inside the beltline in the Loading Dock in Raleigh (only 5 minutes from downtown)! It's a locally owned distillery that uses all locally sourced products from local farmers to spice up their distillation process. The tour is awesome too because Tom knows so much about the process & you can tell he's passionate about bringing these craft liquors to Raleigh. Also, I loved the little tastes at the end. Surprisingly I'm now a huge gin fan - thanks Pinetop! Admittedly I don't know as much about distilling moonshine or gins, but they've got it down pat! The gin doesn't have that strong juniper taste, and it's so smooth! The moonshine was great too, not too strong either... loved it. What's even cooler: they're making holiday bourbon barrels that you can age your gin/moonshine to impart the oak & sweetness into the booze to turn it into a bourbon.... who doesn't love a little DIY bourbon project?! Such a great gift for people!! I'm stoked to try it out :) Love their tshirts too! All in all, Pinetop Distillery makes some great products & their brewery is definitely worth checking out... you'll learn a little, taste a bit, and buy up to 5 bottles to take with you (without having to go to the ABC store)!!!
