I normally expect to pay $75 to $90 per hour with an additional $40 to $50 tip. That's what top places expect. I've been a customer of Soothing Oasis for a few months now. In my opinion, this place is a best kept secret. The price per hour is unheard of these days and their best therapist, Vicky, is on par with the very best in the business. This is a "clean" business in every way so don't expect locked doors and dark rooms. It's a place where professional men and women can feel safe and comfortable. Point is, this is not a Rub Maps type of spa. Expect employees to come in and out of the room with fresh towels, etc. as they often work as a team and they use correct sheet and towel placement for modest folks like me. I noticed one person complained that the session door is left open just a crack. Well yes. That's for everyone's safety and it's a tell tale sign of a legit place! If you want one the best massage experiences in St Louis metro, Soothing Oasis is your place. It also just happens to have the best massage therapist in the country... Vicky. PS You need to request her specifically by name. Tex S

The massages themselves were okay...very lazy. All three. Didn't really feel like a real massage, more like they were just rubbing oil on me. But what upset me the most was that two out of the three times (the 1st and 3rd visit) the masseuse made a sad/disappointed face when I gave her a tip. The first time was for a 60 minute massage and I tipped $15. The third time was for a 90 minute massage and I tipped $20. Not sure what they were expecting for such a lack luster massage with no bells or whistles. So I think I'll pass from now on.

When we arrived, the location was very different from what the website led us to expect. It's located in a strip mall, and there was even a boarded-up broken window nearby, which didn't create the relaxing, upscale first impression we were anticipating. We had specifically reserved the East Meets West massage and facials based on the services listed on the website. However, once we arrived, the menu of services available at the spa was completely different from what was advertised online. It was disappointing because we chose this spa specifically for those treatments. I understand that businesses update their offerings, but the website should accurately reflect the current location, atmosphere, and available services. Keeping online information up to date would help set the right expectations and avoid disappointing customers. I hope they update their website so future guests know exactly what to expect before booking.

I called and scheduled the appointment. The day before, they canceled and had me reschedule. Keep in mind I had to book it about 6 weeks out. They rescheduled me again for a week later. Then same situation happened, canceled and rescheduled again. By this point, I'm completely frustrated and didn't even want to go to the 3rd scheduled appointment. I realized that they were putting in new scheduling software and were running a daily deal, but not off the best customer experience. We arrive to the location to in a office park. I walk in into a large office space and there are some partitions lined up. I almost considered walking out at that point. We go and get ready for the massage. My massage was not the best. About half of the time they used some plastic tool on my back. I could have done that at home! Because of all the of the issues with scheduling they originally offered another couples massage no charge. Then when after our session, they changed the offer to just 1 person paying for the massage, but getting 2. We never called back to rebook the session. It looks like they have changed locations since our appointment, but overall not the best customer experience. Rescheduling 2 times and then changing the deal on the back end is not good business in my book.
