I tipped $200 and thanked the staff, but I want to share feedback because this business has real potential. Unfortunately, due to several fatal flaws, they've lost a high-value, repeat spa customer who frequently gifts spa experiences. I hope ownership takes this seriously and makes improvements. First, the entrance is difficult to find. There is no clear signage, and the only visible gate says "welcome" but is shut. Once we found the correct entrance, the steps were covered in months of dead leaves, completely obstructing them leaving an unsafe, unprofessional, and ugly entrance. Fixing would cost 5 minutes. Upon entering, we were not greeted warmly or offered water, tea, or wine--standard at this price point. We were simply told to remove our shoes. We had to ask for water, which was served in a tiny cup with no carafe to refill ourselves. The waiting area was visually nice but had absolutely no music, creating an awkward, tense atmosphere instead of relaxing. We arrived early to change into robes, as I confirmed over the phone, but none were offered, we had to ask. The robes were old, worn. It was also 90 degrees, and the AC was off. After an awkward exchange where they said they could turn it on "if we wanted," we said YES but it was never turned on it seems. I discover that music was handled individually by each therapist on their personal phones, which led to interruptions when switching providers. Notifications disrupted the experience, and one therapist clearly didn't review my intake form. I had to stop her mid-session to change the music from loud lo-fi to the healing frequencies I had requested. It made the intake form feel pointless. My facial was extremely disappointing. The esthetician needs severe coaching, she used harsh, fast movements that were stressful rather than relaxing. She used Kleenex on my face, which broke apart during use, and did not fully remove exfoliant before continuing, causing gritty residue to be rubbed into my skin. During the enzyme, she left me alone instead of providing a neck or shoulder massage, which is standard. The paraffin treatment involved an awkward wax-filled glove that was difficult to use and poorly applied. The massage started without consideration of my intake form. The therapist immediately worked on my inner thigh: an area I explicitly marked as off-limits due to a serious injury. I had to stop her. While her technique was otherwise good, she made loud, constant hissing and huffing noises, which were distracting and uncomfortable. Bringing me to the most frustrating issue: I had clearly requested separate rooms when booking, and this was confirmed. Instead, we were placed in the same room without acknowledgment, explanation, or apology. I didn't speak up because I didn't want to disrupt my sister's experience, but this was a major breach of expectation. Upon checkout, the staff member remained seated, made minimal eye contact, and showed little appreciation. The overall customer service felt cold and disengaged. I will not be returning, but I hope this feedback is taken seriously. With better attention to detail, communication, and professionalism, this business could significantly improve and retain customers like me.

Until now, the massage quality and overall experience had been good, and we consistently tipped well, typically $100 per massage therapist. We had a last-minute situation come up and missed our scheduled couples massage. Afterward, Aquarius charged us a total of $720, split into two separate transactions: $300 and $420. I understand that businesses have cancellation policies. However, charging loyal monthly clients $720 after one missed appointment feels excessive, aggressive, and completely out of proportion to the situation. For us, this destroyed the goodwill they had built over months of repeat business. We will not be returning. I am filing complaints with the appropriate agencies in Missouri and I would strongly caution others to be very careful before doing business with Aquarius Health & Wellness. I also have serious concerns about their card-on-file and customer data practices. Since they were able to charge our card after the missed appointment, customers should ask how their payment information is being stored, who has access to it, and whether Aquarius Health & Wellness is properly following applicable data security and payment card compliance standards. The massage experience itself was previously good. The way this was handled was not.

She required payment BEFORE services, hmmm, but ok. The woman who greeted me at the door was my masseuse, she said she would do the first half of my massage. It was quite chilly in the room, the table was cold, and I was provided a thin flat twin sheet to cover up with. Again, this wasn't a problem, more uncomfortable than anything. The massage I was given felt more like rubbing sunscreen on my back. She RUBBED the middle of my back with NO pressure as she sat on the side of the table I was lying on for 85% of my time. She moved swiftly through the various parts of my body, with no focus. Although, I specifically listed my lower back as an area of concentration. I didn't say anything thinking she was still filling in for whomever was to take her place. Also, she walked out of the room 3 times to speak with others in hallway - I didn't appreciate that, b/c she didn't inform or ask me if that was ok. Before I knew it, she started "slapping" on my legs - like the nail salon after a pedicure and said "all done". I'm quite sure I didn't get 60 mins (to include 5 to undress & 5 get dressed). Felt more like a 30-40 mins process, but I didn't look at my start time. Shame on me! As I was leaving, she beckoned for me to come to the desk and she pointed at the receipt for her TIP! I was so aggravated at this point, I gave her one, but didn't want to. I will NEVER return to this place!

I've attended a few sound journeys there and always felt comfortable and taken care of, and that same energy carried over when I facilitated my own workshop. The space is beautiful, well-appointed, and relaxing. My massage with Danni was exceptional. Having spent some time in Thailand a few years ago, I feel that I can speak to the authenticity and quality of a Thai massage (to a certain extent). Damn. Danni has a calming and grounded presence and knows her craft. She's very communicative and receptive to feedback, even just feedback from the body itself. If you're new to Thai massage, it is similar to an extended yoga assist/assisted stretching/manipulation of the body/strong focused pressure. Unlike other forms of massage, you are clothed - so wear loose or flexible clothing (think workout/yoga class) - and laying on the floor. The music is peaceful and the right volume. I will be back again for more, and am looking forward to trying some yoga here as well!
