We come to Bend every March and Ariana is always planned for dinner. Only complaint is sometimes it's too hard to get in. We try to put it on our calandra to book 30 days in advance but even then they often are booked. The food was impeccable!! We had the chefs tasting meal. So glad we were able to make it on the list. read more

The only real fine dining in Bend. Bos Taurus comes close, but Ariana knocks it out the park. Service, food and presentation are top notch. Wine list could be improved. read more

One of the best meals I have had in a long time. Each course was flavor explosions in the mouth. We had the calimari, beet salad, salmon, and scallops. Great attention to flavor, texture and utmost creativity. Will definitely return. read more

We've been to Ariana twice and would put it at 4 stars grading on a curve for Bend, but 3 stars solely on its merits alone. Our most recent visit was on New Year's Eve. We had the tasting menu for $275pp . The amuse bouche was nice. The focaccia was rather flat. The first course of salmon tartare was good, if not earth shattering. Second course was beet carpaccio which was good, not memorable. Third course was the best of the meal: mussel bisque. It was absolutely delicious. If only the other courses were half as tasty as this one. The fourth and fifth courses were disappointing: The fourth was octopus in a chili sauce so hot it was difficult to eat and completely overtook the delicate octopus flavor. The fifth was a foie gras dumpling in an extremely salty dashi which also took over the dish. The sixth was the steak course, which was well cooked to medium rare (sous vide) with a rather bland potato hash brown. Dessert was ice cream - nothing very special given the occasion. No post dessert or bon bons were offered which seemed stingy for the price and occasion. Service was fine, but had a couple hiccups. We were seated in the "pavilion" which was on the porch, not the best for a winter night, and has zero ambiance, looking the taqueria across the street, but fine, we can deal with that if the food is amazing. We ordered a round of cocktails and then wine to follow. The wine was brought out and poured about 5 minutes into our cocktails which we were only just into by then. Also timing with courses and wine could have been better. I hate to write a meh review, but I just thought to add our experience, which seems to differ from others'. Also a word of advice to double check they don't put you in the "pavilion" aka porch. When I booked online, the "pavilion" seating was not explained. Had I understood, I would not have booked. We spend a lot of time in Bend and the search continues for a restaurant worthy of a special occasion :/ read more

My one star review is addressing the service not the food. Our server was the only one wearing a mask that night and I hope it was just a bad night for her. Of course with the mask one sometimes one can misread what someone is saying or their attitude. As the night went on it became clear we were not misreading her surly attitude. Our greeting was cool and when we asked questions she acted like she was being burdened. Then I heard how she was interacting with other tables in her section and it was clear it was something about us that pissed her off. When she was delivering our main course she was explaining the dish as she was placing in front of me. I asked her to repeat it because with the mask it was hard to hear her. She backed up and in a very angry tone repeated everything that she said. I was taken aback. Okay clearly she is pissed now. No doubt. We didn't get dessert since we didn't want this treatment to go on much longer. We won't be going back and can't recommend to others. By the way, the food was excellent but couldn't be enjoyed due to the poor service. This is coming from someone who spent 15 years working as a waiter and bartender in fine dining. read more

I have been to a lot of great restaurants in a lot of cities. This was the best experience I have had in years. Food was exceptional. Our server, Elisa, was beyond exceptional and made us feel like old friends. If I could book this place once a week I would, but for now I'm just looking forward to my next visit. read more

This is a tough one. Been looking at this place for a couple of years but it always slipped the radar or didn't have availability. By the way, had an 8:30 reservation, at which point half the restaurant was empty. The service was solid, the ambiance was nice (very euro, chic, calm), the food was good but honestly, and this is the sticky part, it's pretty overhyped. We had the Chef's Menu which was a six course of fair portions (could have had two diver scallops instead of one, or a slightly larger portion of steak) and it was paced very well. The entire staff recommended it (maybe for a fatter tip?) as the way to get a true taste of "what Ariana is". Cocktails were delicious and these days priced fairly enough. The hard part for a bill of over $300 is I wasn't blown away. Not even close. Again the food was good, but not gods gift to tastebuds. I've had better meals for half the price. Salt in the wound was the excessive pretentious air of the place. Classic ridiculous west side of Bend vibe. Idk save your money and go to Zydeco. More fun and better spend. read more

I was looking forward to go here for a celebration. I went to the website to make reservations and found out they require a $10 per person deposit to make a reservation! I never heard of this before. The restaurant business is touch right now I get it, but no freaking way am I leaving a deposit. I do want to eat here at some point since I hear it is good, but I will have to chance on getting a table sometime by walking in. read more

Best restaurant in Bend hands down ! This has to be a planned visit though usually reserved a month out. I am a picky foodie and all my visits here they have never disappointed me through the years. One of the best meals we have had from start to finish in a long while. We came here to celebrate my parents' 42nd wedding anniversary! Ron was our server and he was amazing. He intuitively paced the meal and made wonderful recommendations along the way. The Bond cocktail was a favorite of ours as well as the champagne on the beautifully selected wine list. My mom ordered the 5 course chef's tasting and savored every last bite, including ceviche, the mushroom soup with seared scallops, uni risotto, lamb, and a deconstructed Wild berry cheesecake. My dad ordered the carpaccio, caprese, and short ribs. I had the mushroom soup and scallops. We ordered the traditional Silver oak cab. We finished with the peaches and cream dessert & a glass of Sauternes. An unforgettable experience! read more

I find all the 1-2 star ratings really comical. Especially the ones that are mad at the $10 deposit. If you actually EAT at the restaurant you get it refunded so, really it shouldn't stop you unless you're v stingy. Let me just start by saying we took zero pictures because everything looked so delicious and was devoured immediately. Each course flowed seamlessly into the next. And good lordddd the filet was like butter *chefs kiss*. The tasting course was worth every cent AND they were so kind and accommodating with my restrictions. The service was impeccable, friendly and warm. The atmosphere was pretty much what you wish for at an intimate yet classy dinner party. Perfect place for a date, midweek dinner or to celebrate. Don't listen to the haters. read more

Ariana's really is all that it is hyped to be. Great food, great beverages, great ambiance and great service. Knowing you will be spending a fair amount for all the above, somewhat takes the sting out of the bill. Only wish is that it were easier to make reservations! But I understand why Ariana's is so popular and the wait probably makes it even more special. read more

Hands down best meal on our last Oregon trip and probably the best meal I've had in recent memory. Every detail from beginning to end was absolute perfection. I had no problem getting a reservation, being seated on time or receiving my requested corner table. Perfect start. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. The bread they serve to the table is divine. We did the chef's tasting and it was incredible. The wine pairings were spot on. I particularly enjoyed the radicchio caesar salad and the mushroom risotto. The steak was perfect as well. Oh wait, and don't forget about that delicious berry dessert. I loved those little meringues! This is a must do for foodies visiting Bend and I will be making this an yearly stop for future visits. read more

Can't say enough great things about this place! The bone marrow is a must! It was cooked perfectly- soft, melts easily, rich and the flavor was phenomenal. The short ribs were unbelievable as well. As was the service! I think I just ate at the best restaurant in Bend. Hands down. read more

Exceptional service and the best food. This is our favorite restaurant ever. You won't be disappointed.

Excellent food and great service! A group of 4 of us decided on a family-style dinner for our evening at Ariana. We started with: -Carpaccio -Hamachi Crudo -Rock Shrimp & Grits ... all very tasty and perfectly shareable dishes. For our entrees we shared the Filet Mignon and Wild Cod & Clams. Amazingly delish. The ambiance is quaint but intimate. The staff was great and the food, again was all amazing and was reasonably priced. read more

Whenever we can plan ahead enough to make a reservation to get a table when we travel to Bend we have a meal at Ariana's. Have to have a reservation unless you take a chance in getting a seat at the bar. The food is always amazing. Creative farm to table type dinners. James Beard winners and definitely worthy! The restaurant is in a small house and is super cozy. The service is always attentive. It seems that there are always people here for special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries. Will always come back when I can. Spendy but always worth it read more

One of my favorite places on the planet, and I've traveled a LOT. The dining area is small and quaint. Beautifully appointed both summer and winter. And if you aren't lucky enough to get a reservation, no worries. Sit at the bar. Now this is no ordinary bar. This is a dining bar, and they'll be the first to tell you that. Signature cocktails for sure, but the experience of sitting around with locals, striking up conversations, or not. It's just a terrific experience. The food is beyond great. Every single time! The chef changes the menu regularly. And once, when I was overhearing the neighbors ordering (only vegetables) I thought "you've got to be kidding!" But wow, what a lovely presentation and I'm sure it was delicious. Highly recommend. Not inexpensive, but WELL worth it! read more

Has Ariana lost a step? First time back here in almost two years, and it was not as good as we remember. I'd still say they have the best ingredients and recipes in Bend, but the cooking wasn't great tonight (both the scallops and the filet entrees were definitely underdone). Same with the service -- good, not great. The dining room is lovely, but not comfortable. For $ 100+ per person, I'd expect a little better. read more

Had a really great meal here as a Wednesday night walk-in, sitting at the bar. A nice fruity amuse bouche gazpacho, followed by a beef carpaccio with layers of flavor. Very impressive dishes. Main was fricaseed rabbit leg in a delicious savory cream sauce with morels and gnocchi. They have won a couple of "US Top 100" restaurant awards, rightly so it seemed to me. Very high level delicious French influenced American cooking. read more

Another wonderful evening at our favorite restaurant. This has been reinforced by several less than stellar meals at some other Bend high end restaurants. At first I almost got a bit snobby with this place. My husband made reservations and their website was a bit challenging and not user friendly. We were running late driving to Bend from Redmond so I had to suffer through the website using my cell phone while he drove. I call the number and it goes immediately to voicemail. Our friend urges me to at least leave a message to which I say if they cannot bother to answer the phone I doubt they will get my message. We arrives ten minutes late and were greated by some of the friendliest restaurant staff I have encountered to date. They immediately said they did receive our message and that our table had been set up for us - and it was. Our meal was incredible and the wine list is impressive. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very relazing but where I was most impressed is that they have a small amount of tables which are spread apart generously. In other words, they COULD fit more people in there and chose not to - that says a lot right there for the way they treat their patrons. read more

We checked Open Table and there were no reservations, so called the the restaurant and woohoo, they had a couple spots for the following week of our trip. Coming from SoCal fine dining is a dime a dozen, so of course we had to come here to see what the hype was about. The hype is real, people! The restaurant is nice and cozy and looks like a house converted to restaurant. Since it was our first time we decided to do the prefixed five course menu!! I highly recommend this. Everything was delicious!!! The highlight was the lobster. Lobster usually had a shrimp like texture. The way they cooked this lobster the texture was so juicy and light!!! I usually like chocolate desserts 99% of the time, but the prefixed menu had peaches and cream, so was anticipating just taking a nibble and leaving it. Well, this was phenomenal too!! The cream was like melted vanilla ice cream, with thin slivers of peach with buttery biscuity goodness. I pretty much ate every course clean!!! This was my number 4 best meal of all time!! read more

O to the M to the G!!! Oh my goodness this place is bomb.com! Fine dining in Bend...who knew and the food here does not disappoint. We've had this place on our radar for over a year. Me and the hubs wanted to save it for a special occasion so Valentine's Day weekend was the perfect opportunity to finally give it a try. The restaurant is quite small and felt very intimate. We weren't able to get reservations that weekend but we're able to snag a lovely spot at the bar. It was very comfortable and the lighting was dim and romantic. We decided on the chefs menu with the wine pairing. The presentation was comprised of 5 (would have preferred 6) delectable courses that tantalized our every tastebud. The wine pairing that accompanied each treat took things over the top! Using seasonal ingredients guaranteed full favor and freshness which is the only way it should roll. $100 bucks each means I won't be coming here every week but 3 or 4 times a year will now be a must. On a sour note, and why I'm only giving them four stars is because the older lady bartender with blond hair was super snooty. She wasn't interested in being friendly and wore a scowl on her face the entire time. I asked her a question about a drink she was mixing for another patron and she acted annoyed and halfheartedly answered me while her back was turned. I had no clue what she even said haha. So rude! I then asked for a dirty martini. What I got was what tasted like pure vodka, missing the dirty. The woman bartender was so unfriendly, I didn't even bother asking for more olive juice and laughed when a gal sitting next to me had the same problem but didn't hesitate asking for more. This bartender really needs to work on her dirty martini skills LOL. I also overheard her snap at one of the waitresses which wasn't very professional either. She's in the service industry and it's important to put on a good face, even if you don't feel like it. I had to do it myself for many many years. She's a reflection of the business and the owners of this restaurant are not being served well by her demeanor and why I felt important to mention in this review. That said, and in my opinion, she really needs to work on her social skills or find another line of work. Although the bartender put a little dark cloud over our night, everyone else (especially our waitress) was lovely and I look forward to going back again. Hopefully we'll get different bartender next time too! read more

Truly Impressive Food and Service! I'm going to have to agree with others when I say without hesitation that this restaurant is the absolute best fine dining Bend has to offer. We first visited in June 2015 for our anniversary. I can't believe we never ate there before. To start, the waiter was incredibly knowledgeable about the food he served and was great at helping to make recommendations for us to try something new, Carpaccio, which was absolutely divine. The entire menu except one item was GLUTEN FREE!!! We even got some of the most delicious GF bread n butter I have ever had. I ordered the scallops and will definitely be ordering it again. They were atop a bed of delicious and light risotto which was on top of a huge pile of thick, fresh crab, OMG! My husband had the filet mignon. It was absolutely divine and melted in our mouths. The creme brulee was PERFECT! It was unadulterated with no strange flavors added, smooth as silk and had the perfect crispy burned sugar layer. We will be back, repeatedly. read more

This is a tough one to write. I've been waiting years to go to Ariana and had very high expectations based on word-of-mouth and all the excellent online reviews. Ariana is a mainstay of the Bend fine dining scene and high-end restaurants don't last if they don't deliver the goods. For those of you who don't know Bend. most dining options revolve around "elevated pub fare" and casual meals, usually involving some sort of seasoned tater tots. Ariana's fare stands head and shoulders above the pack when it comes to Central Oregon. This restaurant would be right at home in West LA or the Upper West Side of Manhattan. It's that good. I had the osso bucco and my date had the scallops. We shared a nice bottle of wine, a couple of deserts, some nice Port to top it off... Everything was excellent. Perfectly prepared. The lamb was some of the best I've had. However... here's where it just absolutely falls apart. I know we are all doing our best during these unprecedented times, and I know restaurants are especially hard hit, struggling to meet the state's confounding matrix of off-the-cuff regulations and mandates. I am more than happy to support my local business community and glad I am able to do so. And I appreciate them being open. That said, I was a little concerned when the hostess showed us to our table in the COVID-configured dining room... A table for two shoved into the corner at an oblique to the bar, which leads to the kitchen. So my back was to the bar and I was bumped at least half a dozen times by servers walking behind me to get meals out to my fellow diners. It was annoying, but I packed my best patience and was willing to just deal with it because I knew they were doing their best and the bumps were not intentional, just consequential to running a busy restaurant. In hindsight I should have asked for a different table. Here's how what should be a five-star review becomes a one-star review (with one star added for extenuating circumstances): Just as I was signing my $250 dinner tab, I was bumped yet again. But this time, I got a stern lecture from the large-figured woman who bumped me. "You know," she huffed, "I really need you to move in." I do not know her role in the restaurant, but she was likely a server? Our server was wonderful by the way. But this woman -- her expression when our eyes met, her tone of voice, body language all said one thing: "You are in my way and I don't want you here." Well, you're the ones who put me here... your problem, not mine. I have never felt less welcome in a place where I'd just spent $250. But the message was received... I am not wanted there. Trust you will get your wish. I would not expect to be treated this way at Denny's let alone a "five star restaurant." Shame, I can still taste that lamb... read more

I booked a table for two 15 mins before we arrived. I was lucky because I was sure the place would be booked out on a Saturday night. We decided to go with the chefs menu of five courses. We paired it with the matching wines. The food was amazing. It must be mushroom season as three of the five dishes had mushroom or truffles in it. All of the dishes were outstanding. I particularly enjoyed the scallops which mushroom bisque and truffle shavings (shapes like caviar). At $100 for 5 courses and 5 wines. It is on the pricey side but well worth it! read more

Ariana Restaurant - Bone marrow app. - French Near Me - Bend, Oregon

I've been here twice. It is a small restaurant set inside of a little house that is very cozy and romantic. The beef carpaccio with truffle oil and horseradish creme fraiche was fantastic both times. Other apps we ordered were burrata with tomatoes, roasted bone marrow, and roasted beet salad with watercress and goat cheese - all delicious. Various entrees I've tasted - decadent gnocchi carbonara, complete with a soft egg on top; house made papardelle with braised pork shoulder with fresh ricotta cheese; diver scallops with lobster risotto; and filet mignon with brandy peppercorn sauce and a bacon and chive stuffed potato. No complaints on any of those! Most recently, I tried the spinach and ricotta cannelloni made with fresh pasta. It had the most delicious marinara sauce I've ever had, no joke. For dessert, you have to try salted caramel budino - like a butterscotch pudding with salted caramel. To die for. We also had some great wines at the suggestion of our fabulous server (the service here is consistently stellar). The bar is also excellent and makes classic drinks like Pisco Sours or Pimm's Cups with precision. Best restaurant in Bend! read more

The food is always outstanding here and the service is always the epitome of excellence; but what I am writing about today is the above and beyond of the staff last night. My partner and I finished our chef's tasting meals and our drinks and it was well worth the $250 for the experience. Our ride had arrived and it was pouring down rain so we ran to the car which was parked on the side of the restaurant. I got a call from a number I didn't recognize so I let it go to voicemail (it was the staff calling). As our driver was leaving one of the staff members ran out in the rain and stopped us to give my partner her wallet back. They could have just tossed the wallet into the lost and found or gave up after trying to call me, but they didn't and I appreciate their efforts to go above and beyond. read more
