Absolute worst hair experience I've ever had. If i could give 0 stars I would…read more
I've never wrote a bad review on anyone, but I felt it was necessary for this.
So recently, for my birthday, I was given a groupon to this hair salon. When I called to confirm that they took it, she explained to me they didn't, but no big deal. I still went in for a consult. The pictures below show my hair before, after, and what I wanted to be done to my hair. She stated she could color my hair how I wanted for $100 (that was with a 40% discount she offered me.) Shauna is a pleasant woman and had so many great reviews, I didn't think otherwise. As someone who has never had her hair done, I put all of my trust in her. She told me she could accomplish the look I wanted without any hesitation.
So I sat down in her chair and the process began. Shauna mixed the dye together and began to dye my hair, root to tip. She had two separate bowls of dye that she was applying. Like I mentioned previously, this was a b-day gift and I have NEVER had my hair done professionally before, so I trusted she knew what she was doing.
Long story short, the dye sits in my hair for a long while, we rinse it out and my roots are dark brown, but the entire lower half of my hair is still the same exact color as before (which I though was odd). She then began applying another dye to my wet hair and let it sit, then rinsed again. My hair was the EXACT SAME COLOR. I mentioned this to her and re-showed her the picture I originally wanted her to match. This is about 4 hours in to my appointment. So now she starts asking me what color she should mix and if I think this or that would look well. So once we figured that out, she applied MORE dye to my hair. This time she wraps all my hair in saran wrap and puts me under a hair dryer. I sat there for another 30-40 mins. We rinsed again and my hair came out the SAME EXACT BLONDE THAT I WENT IN WITH!!?? The only difference was my roots were a dark brown. So now she seems uneasy and I was so upset that I just told her to dye my entire head ONE COLOR so I could get out of there. SO here we go again.... She dyes it and same things happens, except my hair is slightly darker than previously, but STILL BLONDE. She also managed to dye my entire forehead in the process.
MY HAIR LOOKS NOTHING LIKE HOW I WANTED IT!!! NOT EVEN CLOSE.
I wouldn't have been mad if it came close, but I ended up paying her $100 to destroy my hair. It turns out she OVER BLEACHED MY HAIR, so none of the color was sticking.
After my appointment with her, I had to set up another appointment to get all my dead ends cut off. This cost me additional money. I shouldn't of had to do that. She cost me more money in the long run and damaged my hair completely.
So I waited a month to rest my hair, and ended up dying my hair at home. NONE of the color sticks. My hair is still the same original blonde it was before, but now with dark roots that are growing out. I look ridiculous. I now will have to wait for my hair to grow out longer in order to dye it myself. Who knows how long that will take....
$100 DOLLARS TO RUIN MY HAIR.... ABSOLUTELY AWFUL.
DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR DONE HERE.
****WHO TF WOULD YOU BLEACH A BLONDE PERSONS HAIR TO GO DARKER?????????? MAKES NO DAMN SENSE.****
