Exceptionally knowledgeable and experienced, the most valuable experience I have had since I got hearing aids over a decade ago.

Bought the top of the line BTE -behind the ear - hearing aids from local ME franchise (franchise…read moreowner is based in NY). $8000 purchase. Received great service until.. Hearing aids weren't meeting my needs - decided to return them (contract specified a 30 day return period with a 100% refund less $325 restocking fee)... when contacted. store manager told me that I needed permission from his (regional) manager before I could return them (i.e. was told to wait until his manager called me and issued me an RMA). After two days of waiting, simply went in and returned them and insisted on a return receipt acknowledgement. The other problem with ME is that their product is 4 times the cost of similar products that are simply better - I ended up going with Lively product -- more features, smaller, and integrate better with phones, and other blue tooth devices. I could not adjust the ME product myself; Lively product has simple buttons for immediate control and an app that actually works. As for phone integration (my ME vendor provided no support for this matter), I use an Android device that does not directly support blue tooth hearing aids so I am using a "phone clip" -- basically a blue-tooth bridge; works well but kinda a hassle. Will be upgrading to an iphone (built in hearing aid support).

Somebody pointed out that they don't make enough effort for new patients to see primary care…read moredoctor. As I have just moved to the area, I have been trying to set up an appointment with primary care doctors over last 8 months (I actually want to visit a specialist that with my insurance I should be able to book without first visiting primary care doctor, but in this particular hospital they want you to have it). For a long time, they were saying they will have new opening over summer. Last time I called, the lady said she will check if there is primary care doctor available, came back 10 minutes later, and started to inquiry about all my symptoms in detail, check my history in their system (I was once in ER) and what I want to see a doctor for (fresh results indicating pancreatitis). Then she has put me on hold for another 10 minutes, and came back to tell me that unfortunately there is no primary care doctor available in the area, and she can put me on the wait list. Given that, I have an impression that this hospital has some type of DISCRIMINATING policy/strategy that SHOULD NOT BE LEGAL.

A present for the dermatology department…read more Tag: Kids practicing medicine Pros: Got an appointment super fast, clean facility, good parking Cons: Holy crap where do I start 1. They gave me a resident. Ok I understand this person is learning but this person seemed to be more concerned with getting me out of there and heading on his vacation to Europe. Kid word of advice, "If you can't keep your mind on your job when you are 27 years old because you need a vacation perhaps this is not the right job for you." Very quick patient assessment, he missed parts of my body on his scan on my skin, was too concerned about documenting his findings, fought with me about the prescription the last experienced dermatologist gave me the last time, filled it, gave me the wrong prescription, gave me no instructions, forgot to have me pay for the skin tag removals and walked out of the room 2. I went to the front desk because I knew I had to pay for the cosmetic stuff, but they said, 'No you are OK" 3. 3. The billing department called me obsessively the following Monday (I had the work done on Friday) twice a day everyday till I called them back. They called me on my cell during work while I was at a client. Sorry kids not dealing with you. Word of advice to billing, "When you F up and don't collect send the patient a bill first. If they don't pay send them to collections then have collections bug the crap out of them. However, don't try to cover you own behind by unprofessionally calling literally one hour after the fact (I left at 4 PM on Friday, they started harassing me at 9 am on Monday)" Word of advice: Have the attending come in after the fact and check everything. Dartmouth you did a crappy job I would recommend avoiding the residents.
