I…read moredon't have to wait months to get an appointment, which was one of the main reasons I chose this facility. The entire staff is very friendly and welcoming. Also, the wait time has always been less than ten minutes for me. My doctor is Dr. Suzanne Shipman. She's incredibly compassionate and helpful, and is straight-forward with answering my questions. I feel comfortable discussing my health problems with her and I know she won't laugh at me or judge the things I say. Dr. Shipman, along with all the nurses that I've interacted with, really seem to put me at ease, since I can get a bit nervous whenever I see a doctor. I get the impression that everyone here genuinely cares for people. You aren't just a symptom or diagnosis. You're a person with a story who needs their help. Also, I can tell that the doctors and nurses really want to help the patients they're seeing, which is great considering I've had some doctors in the past that don't really care about you or your problems. Additionally, I had to go into the main building and get some blood drawn for labs. The lab techs were very understanding of the fact that I generally don't "do well" with getting my blood drawn (i.e. I faint). They kept me distracted during the blood draw, which wasn't horribly painful, and didn't immediately kick me out afterward even though they had people waiting.

As I have just moved to the area, I have been trying to set up an appointment with primary care doctors over last 8 months (I actually want to visit a specialist that with my insurance I should be able to book without first visiting primary care doctor, but in this particular hospital they want you to have it). For a long time, they were saying they will have new opening over summer. Last time I called, the lady said she will check if there is primary care doctor available, came back 10 minutes later, and started to inquiry about all my symptoms in detail, check my history in their system (I was once in ER) and what I want to see a doctor for (fresh results indicating pancreatitis). Then she has put me on hold for another 10 minutes, and came back to tell me that unfortunately there is no primary care doctor available in the area, and she can put me on the wait list. Given that, I have an impression that this hospital has some type of DISCRIMINATING policy/strategy that SHOULD NOT BE LEGAL.

A present for the dermatology department…read more Tag: Kids practicing medicine Pros: Got an appointment super fast, clean facility, good parking Cons: Holy crap where do I start 1. They gave me a resident. Ok I understand this person is learning but this person seemed to be more concerned with getting me out of there and heading on his vacation to Europe. Kid word of advice, "If you can't keep your mind on your job when you are 27 years old because you need a vacation perhaps this is not the right job for you." Very quick patient assessment, he missed parts of my body on his scan on my skin, was too concerned about documenting his findings, fought with me about the prescription the last experienced dermatologist gave me the last time, filled it, gave me the wrong prescription, gave me no instructions, forgot to have me pay for the skin tag removals and walked out of the room 2. I went to the front desk because I knew I had to pay for the cosmetic stuff, but they said, 'No you are OK" 3. 3. The billing department called me obsessively the following Monday (I had the work done on Friday) twice a day everyday till I called them back. They called me on my cell during work while I was at a client. Sorry kids not dealing with you. Word of advice to billing, "When you F up and don't collect send the patient a bill first. If they don't pay send them to collections then have collections bug the crap out of them. However, don't try to cover you own behind by unprofessionally calling literally one hour after the fact (I left at 4 PM on Friday, they started harassing me at 9 am on Monday)" Word of advice: Have the attending come in after the fact and check everything. Dartmouth you did a crappy job I would recommend avoiding the residents.

I like to joke that I am Seth's most difficult patient (truly... I'm probably not joking...) and yet he has stuck by my side through thick and thin leaving no stone unturned. It took some hard work and dedication on both sides but I soared through 2020! Life was great! Then in early 2021 I was facing another health challenge and when I thought the specialist would be the one to solve all the mysteries... again it was Seth and his team to the rescue. I am now back to thriving, though I have some room for improvement (don't we all). 4-5 months ago I was barely eating a handful of foods... losing weight... mentally and physically miserable every day! Now I am eating EVERYTHING I want! I know I have played a large part in my recovery but what I appreciate most is Seth and his team and their absolute devotion and unwavering positivity. I feel like I am part of a team... and I am in charge of my health If you have been debating coming on board with Seth I promise you will not regret it! He is 100% worth the investment in yourself and your future!
