I live in Florida so I was pretty much purchasing blind folded until Omar sent videos and was very engaging in terms of communication. I purchased a 2009 BMW 335i from RDU Auto a couple of months ago. Since then, lots of issue have been popping up on the vehicle. I have driven this vehicle less than 1000 miles. The first thing that I noticed after purchase is that one of the tires is damaged and needed a plug. Next, this vehicle has tint on it that would absolutely under no circumstances pass an NC state inspection. How did they get this vehicle to pass with the tint? Hmmmm....... Next up, the driver side rear window regulator broke the very first time I lowered it. A very basic inspection would have caught this issue, but I guess we don't do those....... And the big one. After about a month of driving, the car suddenly stopped making boost completely. I get a half-engine light when the car nears 3000rpm. This issue has been diagnosed as a wastegate issue which will cost me near a grand to fix. On top of this, I was accused multiple times of trading in a vehicle with major issues. If the vehicle would have had any issues, I would have just kept it myself and fixed it. They inspected and drove the vehicle before quoting me a trade-in value, which I agreed on. How were there suddenly issues after the car was traded in? Why did their inspection not catch whatever issues they thought my trade-in had? If you buy a car here, I highly recommend making sure you have a certified mechanic inspect the vehicle ahead of time. I was naive for thinking that the place that I worked at wouldn't sell me a lemon, but here I am with almost $2000 in estimates to fix preexisting issues.

I don't drive this car everyday bc I have another car that I use to commute to and from work. I go to turn the car on the day before yesterday to drive it and it's another light on. I took the car back to Elite Auto the first day I was told no light was coming on let it stay another day and call back tomorrow. I have purchased a bad car before and it feels like I'm living this all over again. The lady at the front desk is always sweet and understanding. I feel that today they were really rude and unprofessional. Before you purchase a car make sure you take it to a dealership and have someone look at it over for you. The car had a bit of a vibration and needed a deep clean with new breaks and rotors. You can tell when someone is more about a dollar than the care of the customer. When trying to explain our experience else where, the older lady interrupted me rudely. She refused to say anything about the cleanliness, but explained the mechanics didn't put a band aid on things, when the rotors needed obvious replacing.

I've waited a few months to post this review - I'll explain why…read more Our 20 year old daughter wanted to buy her own car, paid for by her, all cash. She had her eye on used Subaru models. We spotted a 2004 Subaru Forester at West Raleigh Auto, called and drove down the same afternoon. Really liked the car, the lot owner, Patrick, was extremely friendly and professional. We planned to come back the next day to get dad's opinion and most likely buy the car. Came back following morning, test drove a second time, made an offer on car (considering how much daughter had saved for a car), Patrick happily accepted and she bought the car. We noticed a few issues with car - rear view mirror was very discolored (with age), passenger window motor broken, car needed new wiper blades and car was not clean (it had literally only been on lot 1 day when we bought it). Patrick gave us an IOU for complete detail, replace all wiper blades, new window motor and new rear view mirror. No questions asked. We took the car home and I drove it back down to Patrick following Wednesday for the detail and repairs to be made - it took the mobile detail guy a few hours to clean, Patrick lent me a car from his lot and I just drove down to Crabtree Mall and killed the time. Very generous to lend me a car! ONLY issue we have is the following week, our daughter was running a few quick errands, locally here in WF. After her third stop in about 1/2 hour, she came out of Dollar Tree and the car would NOT start. She freaked out, called us panicking and said she turned key over and it wouldn't start. Tried four tries until it started for her. OMG. Car was only two weeks old to us and wouldn't start! What?! I texted Patrick immediately, he said bring it in on Monday, I'll have my mechanic look at it. Monday, I drove car down to Patrick, he loaned me a car again and his mechanic tried over and over to replicate stalling. He could not get it to stall... Long story short - we've owned car since first week of October. The car has stalled on me once (again after running a few quick in and out errands) and stalled on daughter on December 16. Very frustrating. Car will catch after a few tries but it undermines your confidence in the car. Oh, and there seems to be an issue with the passenger window again - we had window down, car stalled, window wouldn't go back up. After a few tries, we got car started again and window back up but daughter refuses to let anyone put passenger window down now. Saddens us that she saved up hard-earned money and there are still issues with the car but what can you do? Update 1/8/18: rear view mirror that Patrick installed completely broken and fogged over. Car stalled again twice today before finally starting. Final thoughts: Would I buy from Patrick again? Maybe. Would I get the car checked out independently before I bought it? Definitely. Is he a stand-up guy? Yes, he did try to replicate issue and just couldn't get it to happen. He stood by his word on all fixes and the complete detail (guy did a bang up job cleaning her car). Hope this review helps future used car buyers!

It was clean and Greg was very helpful and responsive during the purchase process. I discovered the cd player didn't work and he had a new, upgraded radio installed complete with bluetooth. He also arranged for a locksmith to come and make 2 new keys for me at cost (which would have cost more than $300-400 at the dealership). So... why am I writing a review a year and a half after the purchase of this vehicle? Well...you know teenagers... :( The good news is that my daughter is fine and no other vehicle or property was involved.... but she hydroplaned, crossed the yellow line and went off the road and into a grassy gully. Our better angels were watching over her that day and thank God nobody else was in the car and nobody was seriously injured. The car, on the other hand, was not worth repairing...... so ..... I am in the market for another used car ... and I am going to be heading back to West Raleigh Auto Sales to see what they have in stock!! I guess that is the whole point of providing a good customer experience, right? Make them want to come back for more and tell their friends.

They even scan your vehicle as you pull in and can read things like tire tread life. My advisor was personable and they arranged a shuttle home, so the experience started off strong. Unfortunately the communication quickly fell apart. I brought my new truck in Friday at 8:15am for several warranty concerns. Around 1pm I texted my advisor for a status update since he said he should have one around lunch. I also explained that if the truck needed to stay overnight I would need to arrange alternate transportation. He replied that the tech had the truck and he would confirm the status. Never once saying he was not going to be working the weekend. After that, I received no response despite multiple follow ups that afternoon. When I called Saturday morning I was told that because my advisor was not working that day, no one could provide an update because advisors do not share notes or account access. I was also told the truck was not being worked on since that team was off. Because of this I had to rush to get a rental car out of pocket. When I later asked about reimbursement, I was told it would not be covered because I did not rent a GMC vehicle. When I picked up the truck the problems continued. Tools were left in my vehicle, part of my console was still in the floorboard, and my charging ports were no longer working. I had to return again to have those fixed. I was also told a noise I reported was "just road noise." But I had noticed my truck was not even driven a mile to observe the issue. After continuing to hear it, I took the truck to another GMC service center. They quickly diagnosed the real issue. The rear differential bearings are failing and need to be replaced. Their technician told me that any mechanic who had actually driven the truck would have noticed the sound immediately. The scheduling and intake experience were great, but the lack of communication and the service follow through were extremely disappointing. I will gladly drive an additional 20 mins to my second dealership I went it.
