Pros:
Good location close to the upcoming station, grocery stores, restaurants
Cons:
- Uninterested management: the management is not bothered about you or your concerns, will not listen or respond to you, and don't care whether you stay or go. Especially the lady in the front office. We have asked multiple times about the issues I have pointed out below, and the response they will give is similar to "unfortunately we cannot do much about this".
- Exorbitant rent increase: just gave notice to move out and my apartment is being listed online for less than $2500. They were charging me almost $2900 to renew the lease. Not only do new residents not get any renewal concession, they have to face rent increases up to 15% every year.
- Poor cleanliness: the stairwell, hallway is dirty, dusty and has stains & smells of pet urine or remains for months.
- Very poor soundproofing. Can clearly hear your neighbors talking, the ceiling thunders with the people living above you walking, continuous construction noises on the other side of the road that can be heard very clearly. Can clearly hear your neighbors pulling the flush and using the washer/dryer.
- Poor/no parking: the building garage has a car stacker that goes down multiple times a month. There is no space on the nearby road to park your car either because the single road is being shared by 4 apartment buildings in the area. There have also been car break ins a few times in the past year
- Poor amenities: a very tiny lounge, tiny common areas, a tiny gym with not much equipment, no grill, no conference room, coffee machine is never working. No events. No air conditioning and the window only opens a tiny 5 inches, making it an absolute nightmare to live during summer months. The management does not rent ACs, neither are there ports to install own AC manually. While this is not necessarily a deal breaker, advertising this place as "luxury" or "boutique" living is completely untrue, especially since a "luxury rent" is being charged.
Overall, the pros outweigh the cons. Not worth the price at all. Would not recommend. read more
