    New beautiful location

I have been coming to Aria since they were a small spot on Edmonds two moves ago. The food is so fresh and tasty, I will follow them wherever they go! I'm so happy to see them thriving and expanding, and this new restaurant is stunning. Formerly townhall, they have classed the place up so much! I've ordered catering from them over the years for events because its food that anyone can enjoy, including kids and seniors who don't do well with spicy but love flavourful foods. Best Afghan restaurant in the lower mainland in my opinion! Congrats Aria! :)

This place was huge (ample seating) and fit 20 of us super easily! The food was flavourful - their chicken kebab and spicy sauce was mouth watering. The mango milkshake was made of REAL MANGOES and the service was just the cherry on the top. This place is going to be a regular for me now!

Absolutely dynamite!!! Crispy, cheesy, and addictive. My dish: Alinazik Kebab - Grilled lamb over sauced grilled eggplant and yogurt, served with salad and bread. The lamb was insanely flavourful and delicious. I wasn't a fan of the mashed eggplant though (which surprised me because I usually love eggplant). It was okay, just not my thing this time. My husband's dish: Ground Beef Pide - Savoury flatbread topped with seasoned ground beef, fresh herbs, and sesame seeds. This was excellent -- super tasty and satisfying. My son's drink: Ayran - A traditional salty yogurt drink with mint. Not a hit with him Too salty and sour for his taste, but we appreciated the experience of trying something new. The servers kindly brought him a Coke instead and didn't charge us, which was really nice. My son's dinner: Adana Kebab (spicy) - Skewered spicy ground beef with rice, bulgur, salad, and bread. Fantastic!!! The beef was fresh and flavourful, and the rice and bulgur were soooo good. Service & atmosphere: It was pretty packed for Valentine's Day, so service was a bit hit and miss and slower than usual -- but totally understandable. The atmosphere made up for it, especially with the live Turkish music. It genuinely felt like being on vacation for the night, and I loved that feeling. Overall: Definitely worth the wait. Great food, great vibes, and a fun dining experience for the whole family.

But I wouldn't get it again next time Urfa kebab - this was my favourite. The beef is super flavourful and soft. I love both rices in all of the dishes. The bread was also strangely addicting. Would DEFINITELY recommend this dish Lamb sis kebab - the lamb wasn't super lamby which is good for people who are scared of the lamb flavoyr. It was a bit chewy and dry. Wouldn't get it again Fish salmon kebab - too dry but I liked the smokiness to it Mix doner on rice - the meats were both really dry. Wouldn't get it again Service - food came fast and they checked on us multiple times Atmosphere - lots of people kept coming in and out but it wasn't loud at all. They started live music at around 7pm. Overall I felt like the food was okay. It's great for big groups as they have huge tables. The price was also a very cost efficient

Wow. Just wow. Food…read moreis poor quality. It's like "apathy-on-a-plate". Very small portions, and it's clear not everything is from scratch. It looks nothing like the photos on their website. Now granted, I ordered delivery. I have not met the owners or experienced their in-house service. Maybe I just had a messed up order. It happens. But the only delivery option was SkipTheDishes. They delivered to the wrong house. I walked around in the rain from house to house, looking for our food. Skip refunded the order, but by the time I found it, my dinner was cold. The driver wasn't even in the same complex. Even adjusting for the delivery error, it's still the responsibly of the restaurant owner to see everything from the customer's standpoint. This failed on every measure except price, because it ended up being free. And it still wasn't worth it. I want new businesses to succeed, and I would like this one to as well. But you simply cannot be successful if you do not care.

It reminded me of trips to the Middle East and food I've had in the homes of Syrian friends. The lentil soup was dairy free, blended with warm, fragrant seasonings. Comfort food in a bowl. The lamb/beef kebabs done beautifully with creamy hummus, fresh salad and pita. Syrian coffee was original, as is served in the Middle East, with cardamon seeds. A pristinely clean restaurant and one of the finest Syrian meals I have had in my life. Shukran, Waeel!

Yes, even ground beef. So, I said med-rare and that's how it came and it was delicious. Ground Lamb and beef juicy with nicely cooked rice and sweet juicy tomatoes. The Chicken with bone-in. Very tasty. You could tell it was marinated before-hand as it was tender and grilled just right. I asked if the Dolmathes were home-made, but it isn't it's canned. It is imperative, if you're going to call yourself a Middle Easter Restaurant to serve them home-made, as truly the canned ones are disgusting and not at all representative of the Canape dish. Serving canned Dolmathes in either a Persian or Greek Restaurant is like ....a Japanese Restaurant serving you pre-made Grocery Store sushi. The place is probably more like a grocerty store with a hot food stand attached. Took a quick look and it's definitely for the Middle Eastern market. Staff are friendly. I tried their kebab meal. Pretty tasty. Kebabs were nice and juicy. Served with pita, grilled tomato, hummus, rice, and 2 types of salad (onion and mixed). Portion size was somewhat decent. Definitely hit the spot. There is also a dessert place (La De Dessert) that is run out of the same space. The guy (owner?) gave my buddy and I a chocolate waffle sample. Pretty tasty too, though it was a bit pricey. Overall I'd come back, though there are a few other similar places in the direct vicinity. Recommended.
