We contacted Aria 4 to fix an electrical issue which resulted in a no power situation in our microwave/oven combo unit. We worked with Derek who was a complete professional - timely, very knowledgeable, courteous, efficient, and looked for an effective fix rather than a short cut or unnecessarily complex (and costly) fix. Derek did not charge for his initial visit and his final bill was reasonable. Our appliance repair technician diagnosed our loss of power issue to the electrical connection or electrical feed to our KitchenAid microwave/oven combo. He was right - it was the electrical connection in the wall behind the combo unit. When we remodeled our kitchen the electrician contracted by the cabinet installer did a less-than-professional job of connecting our unit (connected the aluminum conductor in our house to copper wire in the unit with just a wire nut). The connection eventually shorted out. ATTENTION HOMEOWNERS: IF YOU ARE REMODELING BE SURE THE ELECTRICIANS DO WORK THAT IS STATE OF THE ART AND UP TO CODE. INSTALLERS DON'T NECESSARILY DOUBLE CHECK THEIR WORK!! read more

My experience with Derek was not great. It was full of delays and bad communication. My project is completed, but it took several weeks for an electrical panel upgrade. He outsourced the electrician and the stucco repair person. The only one that came out and did a careful job was his brother, but unfortunately that was on the last day. The rest of the work was a mess. I am very disappointed with the way it looks. They did what they had to do to pass inspection, but did not care about the esthetics. He also promised me a different panel, but then tried to convince me that the one the electrician bought for the job was just as good. I went along with it since I had been waiting several weeks for the job to begin already. One of my worst experiences with a contractor. read more

Got a new stovetop that needed a new dedicated electrical line (as our kitchen was already overloaded with not enough circuits). Derek and team were very fast and did everything to code and also found a number of errors in the previous setup that only top professionals would spot. They got a whole new circuit in from the fusebox into the kitchen (through the wall) in a couple of hours flat at a very good price indeed. I left a message asking if they could please help with an electrical buzz in the kitchen. Why? This is why-I'm not stupid. (Electrical Humming Humming or buzzing sounds from an outlet or switch usually mean that a wire has come loose. (Dimmer switches can hum for other reasons--see below.) If so, the switch or outlet might be warm to the touch as well--although not necessarily. A loose wire is a fire hazard, so call an electrician right away to check out the humming or buzzing. ) He was very rude, had not read why I had called, and then told me he was an electrician and couldn't help me! Your guess is as good as mine. read more

Double thumbs up for Derek and his team. Very professional, highly reliable, value for money service. Finished the low voltage landscape lighting installation work on a fixed quote. Within a day i noticed a timer related issue but not directly related to the installation work. Responded to my Friday night text message within 1 hr. Sent his crew the next day morning[Weekend], ran down to Home Depot to procure fixing supplies and completed the fix. For the second visit he charged only for the supplies and did not even charge for time and labor. I felt morally obligated to pay for the second visit labor and i did it. Very few contractors go this far in serving their clients. I would highly recommend him for my friends and neighbors. read more
