The orchard grows a ton of different apple varieties so there's good picking during the full apple season. We got to choose between Zestar and Jerseymac apples during our visit. I'm a big fan of crisp and tart so the Zestars fit the bill. Peach picking was a bit of the same only fewer varieties. Raspberry picking was a fun new experience. You're essentially hunting and the fruit that is ready to be picked will slide off their cone-like cores. Since it was early in the season most of the berries were small or immature and there were a ton of bees buzzing around. I mean a ton where you'd go to pick and they would be buzzing around your hand. Don't worry though! The bees are friendly and indifferent to your picking the fruit. Just be gentle. Pro tip: come on a day where there's a breeze. We went on a still day in August and it was hot! 90 minutes in the sun and we were feeling pretty crunchy.

While it wasn't the best I've ever had, it was pretty damn near close! The corn was great, the tomatoes were great, the squash was great! The pick your own blueberries were delightful! Upon arriving, we saw all the beautiful Christmas trees for sale and were immediately greeted by a very nice young man who asked if we'd ever been there. He welcomed us to check out the store and that there was complimentary mulled cider, apples, and fresh-popped popcorn and coffee, and a whole sitting area to enjoy it in. We purchased their own Cryovacced beef and sausage, some fresh veggies, homemade baked goods, and some cider. The staff was AMAZINGLY friendly! As we were leaving, my children saw some very small broken Christmas tree twigs in the parking lot and wanted to take them home for the ride so they could smell the pine. Another young man called over to me and said he had a better piece for them than what we found on the ground and he gave them a large branch! It just made their day! Then, my daughter saw the horses and he invited us to go and look at them. It was such a gorgeous setting and we really enjoyed everything we purchased. The sausage is out of this world!!! On September 21, 2026, my fiancée and our friend visited Beans & Greens and purchased multiple items from the business. They also placed a food order and were given a pager. They then waited for more than 40 minutes for their order. During that time, they repeatedly asked staff members about the status of their food. Multiple employees instructed them to continue waiting. Meanwhile, they observed other customers arriving, receiving their orders, and leaving while their own order was not provided. After waiting more than 40 minutes, it appeared that their food order had either never been entered or had otherwise been disregarded. In addition to the unusually long wait, both described the manner in which staff interacted with them as dismissive, patronizing, and disrespectful. They felt they were being belittled and treated as though they were less deserving of attention or service than other customers. Both my fiancée and our friend are Asian. Neither of them normally attributes poor customer service to race, and neither entered the situation expecting or looking for discriminatory treatment. However, because of the combination of their order apparently being ignored, repeated dismissive responses from staff, and other customers being served while they continued to wait, both left the business questioning whether their race or ethnicity contributed to how they were treated. I am submitting this account in good faith. The factual details described above are based on what my fiancée and our friend experienced and reported regarding the incident.
