Thanks for saving my tooth! I had been putting off a visit to the dentist for a long time. I had an embarrassingly large cavity in one of my molars. I was nervous about a potentially painful ordeal and equally nervous about seeing a new doctor. Thankfully he somehow was able to save my tooth and gently too! I'm so glad I went to see Dr Kramer. He is truly kind ( to patients and staff alike). Everyone in the office was super helpful, professional and tidy. I'll be back in 6 months for my next check up. read more

I can't speak more highly of Dr. Kramer. Finding a good dentist who prioritizes patient health seems rare (check out the documentary Root Cause). But Dr. Kramer seems ethical and knowledgeable. He got on the phone to speak with my oral surgeon to make sure the procedure was necessary. His office is clean, his prices are good, his hygienists are educated. I left the city for a little bit and the second I moved back, I was happy to return to Dr. Kramer. Highly recommend! read more

For over thirty years, I was fortunate to be the patient of a gentle, caring and expert dentist named Dr. Kafka. He was not just a technician but a master musician and his instruments were the tools of dentistry. (A it turns out, he was also a concert violinist. No surprise) He was blessed with what my mother would call "Golden Hands" and when he retired I feared that I would never again be treated with such care. I was wrong. I found those Golden Hands again and they belong to Dr. Ari Kramer. He is a youthful man with an old soul and the skills of a concert musician. "It's deja vu all over again". He has given me back the smile I had fifty years ago and I feel like a male Julia Roberts! I could honestly not been happier with the results of his work and that's probably why Dr. Kafka led me to him and that's why I just can't stop smiling. J Sage NYC read more

One of those rare experiences in life when you run into someone who deserves to be called "awesome."

Dr. Kramer and his staff were most impressive. He took the time to discuss my dental issues in detail, answered all questions and taught me specific things about my teeth and jaw. Dr. Kramer did all of the work himself, including a thorough cleaning, which is often done by a dental hygenist in other offices. The staff was friendly and professional and the office is comfortable, clean and inviting. I would recommend Dr. Kramer to anyone looking for a dentist. read more

Ari is the first dentist that I have ever used besides the family dentist I grew up with. I was extremely apprehensive about using a new dentist, but we all have to grow up some time and it was about time for me to stop trekking back home to my parents' twice a year to get my teeth cleaned. I felt at ease immediately walking into his office. His staff was friendly, warm and extremely helpful. Ari is someone who truly loves what he does and it shows in his demeanor. He took the time to thoroughly check my teeth as well as the areas around my neck and jaw. I felt his approach to be very holistic in that he really encouraged me to look at the big picture. Not only did he take the time to tell me about each part of his exam but he also showed me how to floss my teeth properly. I know that sounds crazy but until now, no one has ever shown me this method and my teeth and gums are SO much healthier because of it. He also gave me this special flossing toothbrush which is by far the best I have ever used. I am anal retentive about toothbrushes and this is the cadillac. His office is extremely clean, has a beautiful view and is very accessible by train. I will be a patient of his for a very, very long time. read more

Dr. Kramer is THE BEST DENTIST EVER!!! He is patient, kind, knowledgeable, friendly, approachable and every other positive attribute that I can think of. Even after filling cavities, I experienced no pain (which is incredibly rare for someone to say!). My teeth feel squeaky clean after every visit - and his staff is filled with the sweetest, most attentive and responsible professionals (shout out to Mary for being a ray of sunshine!)! Scheduling appointments couldn't be easier. And, when I had to get my wisdom teeth out - Dr. Kramer partnered with a fantastic oral surgeon to make the experience as seamless as possible. I was AMAZED by how much he cared about my comfort. His office is meticulously clean and as cozy as a dentist's office can be. Dr. Kramer is setting a new standard of dentistry and I am lucky I get to call him my dentist! All the stars for Dr. Kramer and his team!! You guys rock! read more

Dr. Ari Kramer is a gem of a human and a professional. I needed to have my dentition corrected and reconstructed, a very big and very expensive job. His work is meticulous and the result superb. He had been highly recommended to me by the head of a major dental school, and I could not be happier with the prosthodontic treatment I received, He is that rare professional who sees and treats you, not just your particular body part. I have trusted him completely to do what is best for me, to bring thought, knowledge, experience, ethics, warmth and kindness to his treatment of my mouth, teeth and me. I went to him as an extremely highly reputed specialist in his field; he has become my dentist for my basic as well as specialized dental needs. He is a mensch. read more

I used to hate visiting the dentist and was bribed with ice cream until age 16 just to get me through the door. Ari Kramer has cleaned and treated my family's teeth twice. We will never see another dentist again if we can avoid it. From the moment Ari walked in the room, his warm and gentle demeanor was apparent. Ari was encouraging in pointing out specific areas in which my dental health had improved. He was thorough and neat with his work, as well as crystal clear in answering any questions we had, handing me a mirror on multiple occasions to watch him demonstrate proper personal care on my teeth. Procedures that had left my mouth and gums sensitive for a full day following other dentists' work left me comfortable less than 30 minutes after leaving Dr. Kramer's office. On my recent visit, he gave me a new style of toothbrush that we had discussed as a gift to take home and try. I strongly recommend Dr. Ari Kramer's dental work and truly believe that he very well may be the best dentist in New York City, if not the world. read more

After my regular dentist and an endodontist both had treated my abscessed tooth over several visits, I found all their information very confusing and worrying. I needed someone to sort out what was happening to my poor mouth and take the time to explain it to me. So I came to Dr. Kramer for an unbiased second opinion, and Ari Kramer set my mind at ease, was very supportive, patient, an excellent explainer and listener. Thanks to Ari Kramer I came away with clear guidelines for what to consider when having any further work done on the problem tooth. He and his assistant both had a very gentle touch. They never made a bumpy or rushed move to place the the x-ray film, or tap on a tooth, everything was done with great care. Oh, and he didn't see any reason why the endodontist was trying to convince me I needed two additional root canals done! That day, he saved me from confusion and over-treatment. He may even have saved a couple of teeth! Thank you! thank you! read more

I never saw myself as the sort of person who would go out of his way to review a dentist, but I could not possibly recommend Dr Kramer highly enough. He is a medical professional of the very first rank, and worth seeing not just for his exceptional technical proficiency but for his humor, his thoughtfulness, and his keen sense of how his work with his patients relates to the broader context of their general well-being. He's just an outstanding dentist and an outstanding guy. read more

Dr. Kramer is the best dentist i have ever had. First, I am afraid of needles, but with him a pleasure, never saw it coming and such gentle hands. Second, He is a charming and cheery person and you feel at ease to ask him anything. Third, he is very thorough and will not undertake any procedure without you being fully informed (as a lay person) and can make the best decision possible. He is also very conservative in his approach to procedures and will not advocate for any unnecessary procedure. Fourth, he doesn't rush from one patient to the next, and makes you feel like there are no other patients for him to see. You have his undivided attention. Last, his receptionist is also wonderful and very pleasant to talk to if you ever have to sit in the waiting area. He is simply a great dentist and there is nothing i can say that he lacks. A great experience every time (if you need a dentist). Don't hesitate to see him. read more

Dr. Kramer is just an excellent dentist, smart, kind, gentle, and talented! He made two crowns for me and they were both a great fit and looked like my natural teeth. Most importantly it was not the ordeal I had expected, but two easy, painless visits. The assistant and receptionist are both kind and wonderful too. Going to this office is a win-win situation! You will be so glad that you made the appointment. read more

Dr. Ari Kramer's warmth and consideration was well beyond what I expected. He returned my calls himself, he listened compassionately to my situation and worked with me as an individual so that I could have the best care. For my first visit, I couldn't get child care and had to bring my 6 month old son. He welcomed him and made me feel at ease. His receptionist scooped him up and they all took turns holding and playing with my baby. I was amazed at how lovely and kind everyone was with him and how understanding they were with me! I got one filling (so far) and Dr. Kramer was quick and comprehensive. He took extra measures to make me comfortable and explain what he saw and how we wanted to proceed. His office window overlooks central park, which adds a nice touch to being at the dentist. I highly recommend anyone needing dental care to Dr. Kramer. You will leave feeling truly cared for. read more

I've always hated dentist visits until I met Dr Kramer. Now it's a very different story, I walk into the dentist with the classical music in the background and it's such a relaxed environment. Dr Kramer is really incredible, he is warm, caring and relaxed and makes you really feel at ease. While he is working on your teeth he explains what he is doing to put your mind at rest and honestly dentist visits are no longer a stress actually the opposite. I would highly recommend Dr Kramer to anyone, I honestly wouldn't want to go to another dentist again. read more

Dr. Kramer is a genius. Incredible talent, gentleness, integrity, empathy, clarity, sense of humor, patience, and prescience. Dr. Kramer's skill is such that, as I brace for historically-painful procedures to begin, he informs me that he's already finished. I have repeatedly asked him to be my doctor for everything in my body from head to toe to mind, but he insists on being only my dentist, I imagine for reasons of paperwork. Regarding insurance: With almost all other medical issues I am insistent on staying within my coverage, but, when it come to the health of my teeth and mouth, as I have been advised by every person and doctor I trust, I only go to the best I know, whether or not they take insurance, because, if dental issues are not handled properly, the results will be extremely painful and expensive and difficult to repair for a long, long time. So, whether Dr. Kramer is or isn't on the various dental plans I've had over the years, I always see him anyway. Recently, I was traveling in Europe and was experiencing tooth pain -- I could have seen any number of potentially excellent dentists there and been covered, but I preferred to wait a couple of weeks until I got back to NYC to see Dr. K, to make sure everything was taken care of properly. Dr. Kramer's staff is also amazing and friendly and patient and kind, and his equipment is all up to date, as opposed to my old dentists who would use equipment that, while I'm sure was satisfactory, always looked like it had been made by Nikola Tesla himself and was shipped from Serbia without sufficient padding. Needless to say, I refer all friends and family to Dr. Kramer -- and they all love him as well. read more
