Rooms are nice and clean, bathroom is well lit. There is a vanity in the room we stayed at which was helpful when checking emails and when using a laptop. The place looks well maintained, the dining are is gorgeous and the rooms are furnished nicely. It has more of a modern feel to it. Breakfast is served in the dining room and you have a choice of the hot foods or the cereals, fruits, and toast that is also offered. The staff here are also very friendly. Only downside is that the parking can be a pain, but they offer parking tickets with longer stay inside the hotel itself.

HORRIBLE!!!! I am an avid world traveler & have never had such a horrific, dirty, and unprofessional experience such as this one! I have traveled to over 20 countries outside of the U.S.A. and have never encountered such gross negligence! After checking in, walking down 2 flights of stairs to get to my "upgraded' room which looked like a dungeon, we were placed in a room of filth!!! Where should I start? Let's start with the wrinkled bedding that looked like someone had slept in the bed & maid service did not change the sheets. Let's talk about both the pet hair & human hair that was on the bed & table where coffee maker (next to the hairdryer - ummm pretty unsanitary) is located. After contacting reception someone came over & looked shocked as if staying in filth was a problem. We were informed that both housekeeping & the manager were off duty until tomorrow. Mind you it wasn't 4pm, talk about bankers hours for the service industry... a travesty. The solution was to place us in a room next door which appeared to be more modern... this accommodation was just for the evening! We were informed the room would be cleaned tomorrow, then we had to return to it. Mind you the room we were in had 4 beds and room next door had 3 beds but we were told it had to accommodate a family on tomorrow. The receptionist accused me of being nasty with her when I requested to stay in the room since the 2nd set of beds in the original room was clean & I did not want to move back & forth. As she got flustered she left & told me do what I want. The 2nd room was cleaner. When I went to look at it, someone else called from the front desk & stated we could not stay in noth rooms... but had to stay in one room or get charged an extra fee. How does a hotel run efficiently with no house keeping or Manager on staff? This place is horrible & unprofessional.... next call will be to the booking agent!!!!!

If you're looking for a good old fashioned hotel - then the Argyll Hotel is for you. Yes, it's a little small, and more than a little chintzy, but it has character enough to make up for both these things, and that's sure good enough for me. You'll find the Argyll Hotel on the stretch of Sauchiehall Street by the Kelvingrove - you know the bit, where every single building is a hotel. (Convienient, I suppose, if you fancy a bit of hotel hopping). It's definitely more of a traditional hotel, especially compared to the 'holiday inn' type places that seem to be taking over the world. It's well placed for both Glasgow city centre and the West End of the city, so if you are planning a visit to Glasgow - this is a great option. There are also a huge number of great restaurants and cafes in the vicinity - so you won't go hungry either! And there's a pub in the basement. Plus, their bedrooms are named after Scottish Clans. Can't say this would encourage me any further - but I know a lot of people would get very excited by this...

CitizenM prides itself on offering consistent service and features, so it's no surprise to me that…read moremy experience at the Glasgow location was much the same as other cities. The room itself was exactly the same. Overall, the layout and king bed are always enjoyable, but the hard floor makes for a difficult experience if you're trying to do some in-room stretching/yoga/exercising. A couple things unique to my visit in Glasgow: -During check-in, it asked me what type of room I'd like (meaning, the level/view). I chose a lower room, as it said it was a city view. This was more like a view of the building across the street on the west side of the building. But the lower room was good because... -One of the elevators wasn't working when I checked in, so being able to take stairs up to my room was something I took advantage of. -The actual spot in Glasgow I found very convenient for my purposes. I was able to walk to the university area in about 25 min, as well as over to my favorite spot (Mono/Monorail) in the same amount of time. It was also very close to the Glasgow Queen St station. So all in all, a good experience and I would definitely stay here again.

The shower area is frosted glass so your silhouette is on full show so be aware of this. The staff here are so lovely and welcoming and helpful and we had such a wonderful stay and would 100% stay again.

My thanks and appreciation to the team at the Radisson Blu Hotel Glasgow for patience and diligence…read morein helping me get our Spring Team Meeting sorted after the devastating fire on 8 March at the historic Forsyth Building which caused the voco Grand Central to rebook (within 48 hours of suggesting it) our meeting at the Radisson Blu! It's wonderful to see how business competitors can work together when a disaster occurs; the voco Grand Central and Radisson are shining examples of that cooperation and teamwork. The Radisson Blu managed to re-create our meeting within 30 days (our start date was 14 April), and everything worked seamlessly. Even with numerous changes, the hotel staff took care to ensure everything ran smoothly. Transportation from the airport to the hotel was easy (about GBP38 by Taxi). Our Team thoroughly enjoyed the hotel. The guest rooms were very nice and comfortable, and the staff was very friendly, professional, responsive, and dedicated to ensure our meeting ran smoothly. The Meeting Room was spacious, A/V was plug/play, and the daily food/beverage were of very good quality with a great selection. They diligently took the (shellfish) food allergies and (Halal, Kosher) dietary restrictions into consideration providing meals that could be enjoyed by all. It's a terrific location with Glasgow Central Station (train) just steps away and numerous pubs, restaurants, and the Argyle Street shopping district just down the street in any direction. I definitely recommend this property for both groups and leisure travelers.

I would probably have rated this hotel with two stars if it hadn't been for Michele, who helped us…read morewith our room key fiasco. The first time we arrived at our room, the room key didn't work. We went back down to get another one. That didn't work either. Michele came up with us and her keys didn't work either. Engineering came to fix the door. They assured us that we would no longer have any problems. A couple of hours later, we went back to our room. Our key didn't work again. Eventually, we were moved to another room with some complimentary breakfast. The hotel is no doubt dated in comparison to other locations. However, it does have amenities we enjoyed: a pool, which was a little circuitous to get to, a gym, and an ice machine. As Michele mentioned, the hotel doesn't have great views. Our first room had a view of other hotel room windows. Our second room had a partial view of Glasgow Central Station and Hope Street. Our room was fairly spacious. The breakfast buffet had many options, even a la carte items. Grahamston was terrible. The service was slow and inattentive. City Sightseeing bus stopped right in front of the hotel. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here.
