My Yorkie dog needed his teeth cleaned ( he is 7 years old)... Dr Nick did an amazing job . Took my Wilbur in at 7:30 picked him up at 2:30 and Wilbur's teeth that had looked horrible we're sparkling clean .. Eveyone at the clinic we're wonderful read more

Cats hide their sickness, so we did not have any warning signs. We did not have a lot of time, but did not want to have him pass scared at the emergency vet. We were lucky enough to be able to bring him home and have Full Circle come over the same day. Carrie has the perfect demeanor and was so kind through the process. She explained what would happen and made sure we were ready to do so when the time came. While I hope to never have to call/use Full Circle again, I am very thankful that we were able to be with Milhouse at home while he passed. He was comfortable and did not need to suffer longer than necessary.

Kind, Ethical, Responsible Team I have had two dogs prior to…read morethis one and have taken them to several other reputable training organizations. This is the only one that bothered to find out about my specific goals for my dog and the only one that bothered to get to know my dog. I think everyone in the place came out to meet her and watch her at her first training. I had the usual reservations about using an e-collar on my dog (is it inhumane? Is it punishment? Would her personality change?) Andrew carefully demonstrated the collar to me and when we used it on my dog she did not indicate that she was in any distress. She learned quickly and seemed very proud of her accomplishments. At home, even without the collar she continues to do the things she learned in her only lesson. Two days after her first training, she was diagnosed with Heartworm. Because she must be kept still throughout the long treatment she cannot attend training, go to dog parks, doggy day care or even run. Sit Means Sit refunded my money, did not charge me for the lesson, offered advice on how to keep her still, and offered to continue to help when I needed it. I am forever grateful. When my dog is better (cross your fingers) I plan to bring her back. I would not hesitate to recommend Mike and his team for any dog issue whether it is a serious problem dog or a dog like mine who is a little timid, wants to kiss every child she sees and just needs a few skills to reinforce safe behaviors.

I've taken Lovie (cat) to the Brodhead location several times over the last few years (and once or…read moretwice to their Monroe location where we first saw them), and had a couple of issues along the way. One example is their record keeping on rabies shots. They gave him a 3 year vaccine the first time we went there. Then, said he needed another the following year. When I questioned this, they said the previous vaccine had been the "one year" version. I thought maybe I was remembering wrong, so i said OK. The next year, I got another notice that he was due for a rabies shot. I knew for sure he'd gotten the three year version for the second shot, emailed back and forth with their office and thought it was resolved as the didn't mention it in following visits over the last couple of years. Now, we get to Monday of last week. I made an appointment for euthanasia after Lovie had a massive seizure the day before. He was getting around, but not himself and I didn't want him to suffer. Of course, I was worried if I was making the best decision, so I agreed when they said let's do blood/urine tests thinking maybe I had been jumping the gun. The price was $150 to get results back on Thursday... or I could pay $450 to get results back the same day. $450 was out of my budget since there would be more costs to follow, so I said said the $150 option. Then the veterinarian said we would need a CT scan to check for a tumor if the blood/urine tests didn't find anything. That would be $4000+. I stopped her there and explained I definitely would not do that as Lovie was 22-ish years old and I wouldn't have brain surgery for him at that age anyway. Then, they said he needed another rabies shot! I explained the above... again. The doctor argued, then she had someone from the front desk come in to argue - with both emphasizing the legal side of it - that if Lovie bit someone, animal control would take him away from me to be euthanized all alone without me. When I got home, I emailed them proof that he was covered. As we waited for the Thursday results, Lovie continued to decline to the point that he didn't eat food on Wednesday. So, I took him to Janesville Animal Clinic (Mineral Point Ave) where they checked him out and agreed with what I was seeing. They were incredibly kind and empathetic, and Lovie had a quick and painless passing. Brodhead did NOT call with test results on Thursday... or Friday. It was around their closing time on Saturday that I got a voicemail saying the results were in (but not what the results were), and that she would call back on Monday or the following Thursday. Seriously!!! I emailed them that Lovie was already deceased as of the day they were supposed to have called with test results. Their response, "During our discussion, we presented different care options and we did our best to explain the potential outcomes and implications of each. You agreed to starting with bloodwork." Yes, because I thought they would be doing what was best for Lovie - not dragging out his obvious decline. I say obvious because he had lost almost two pounds over the past year or so and his body temperature was low that day. They didn't even apologize for not getting the test results back in a timely manner even though they were in on that Thursday (I checked on their website that Thursday afternoon and the results had come back, but they didn't try to reach me until Saturday.) At the end of the day, I guess I should have been more assertive, but I trusted the "professionals" and hoped I was wrong about it being the end of Lovie's days. I am, however, glad I went to the second place to give by little buddy a humane end of life experience rather than continuing to let Brodhead VMC drag it out. I would like to add that several friends have said they bad similar bad experiences with this veterinarian.

Our 3 beagles came home happy. So something's being done right by the staff. Usually they are panting for the first hour after leaving a kennel. Not after their stay at the Old Stone Pet Lodge. They were calm and relaxed, happy to see us but not that desperate sound of being happy to get away. When we picked them up- we got to watch them play on the snow hill from the camera in the lobby area. They looked happy. The staff is SO friendly and the dogs didn't have that "kennel smell" that they typically have at other kennels. We will definitely be back if ever in the area again. Booking and paying online was easy. Printed the waiver and brought it in. We arrived 15 min early as requested, but no one was in the office. Had to ask someone to get a worker, and someone finally came in 5 min after or scheduled time. A little annoying, but the rest of the trail ride was great, so water under the bridge. Brandi and Bethany helped us on our horses (Pengo and Spartan) and gave us a quick run down of how to guide the horses. The horses were very easy to ride, each with their own amusing personalities. Our trail guide was friendly, answered any questions we had (we were the only riders), and pointed out a few of the other resident horses and little tid bits about them. Also gave us some space to really just enjoy the ride, which was perfect. The trail itself was a basic trail that traversed the Galena territory, went by some houses, up and down some gentle hills. We got back after an hour and they took some photos for us. All in all, it was a great ride and we wouldn't hesitate to come back in the future.
