This was not a service we wanted or thought we would ever need. Our 10-year-old cat went from being his normal self to no longer eating, having cancer, and internally bleeding all within one day. Cats hide their sickness, so we did not have any warning signs. We did not have a lot of time, but did not want to have him pass scared at the emergency vet. We were lucky enough to be able to bring him home and have Full Circle come over the same day. Carrie has the perfect demeanor and was so kind through the process. This is a service no pet owner wants to ever need to use but ultimately it is one many of us will need. But if you're lucky and your pet lives well enough and long enough it is what will be called for. Our 14.5 year old husky was diagnosed with lymphoma metasasizing to the lymph nodes almost a year ago. We kept her comfortable but knew our time was limited. This will be a short review as my eyes are almost swollen shut from crying :( Dr. Carrie was able to fit me in for my Peachy Poo 9/15/2023. My pomapoo that I paid $1000.00 for that came from a puppy mill. We went to save a kitten and I told hubby we have to save this poor little puppy that was in a wire bottom cage. From the time I held her, it was an instant bond she slept on the floor beside my couch then graduated to her chair where she could still see Mama. Peachy-Poo was 19 years and 7 months. As family we decided as long as she was eating drinking and happy she would pass away at home. The hardest thing to do was to make that call and say the words your fur baby has had enough. :( My dog was terrified of the vet so I wanted her to pass away at home in her chair. Dr Carrie told me I made the right decision NOBODY has ever told me that at a vets office... That alone lifted a huge burden off me. Dr Carrie is very kind, compassionate and so very understanding. Peaches liked her and trusted her. When she left, I looked on the chair and thought she left something behind. She left me a little bottle with Peaches hair and a stone with her name on it. I burst into tears again at the kindness. She made everything relaxing for my Peaches. I can't thank her enough. I was also told that Peaches was the oldest dog she'd ever seen which made me feel proud, I studied to be a veterinarian but when it came to certain things I just couldn't do it. Dr. Carrie was very calm and sweet--just what I needed on this stressful day, as I was a complete wreck. My dog liked her and we all enjoyed a few moments in my back yard since it was a gorgeous day outside. My dog was in terrible pain due to bone cancer and could hardly step on his paw anymore. It was time to put an end to his misery and send him over the rainbow bridge into doggie heaven. I wasn't strong enough to do this for my previous dog and he died during the night after what appeared to be a horrible end. I still regret my weakness to this day; I wasn't going to repeat my mistake. Dr. Carrie came to our house on the day we requested. Very happy to have found Dr. Carrie and her great team! They have the empathy, the knowledge and true concern for your issues and questions. We came here under complicated circumstances and the atmosphere is very calming. Dr. Carrie herself is patient and generous with her time. I like that she is educated and trained in both traditional and non+traditional veterinary medicine. The first visit, we were there a really long time and never felt rushed. Another vet had prescribed steroids for itching and I didn't want to have to go that route. Instead, we found another way to solve the problem. We also discussed vaccines and nutrition. I can't say enough great things about Dr Carrie and her staff at Full Circle Vet. My 9 year old Pug's Mast Cell Tumor Cancer returned with a vengeance a little over a year after a mass was removed with 'good margins'. The surgery was done by my previous traditional vet in Chicago. I wish I would have known then what I know now about dogs and cancer. I would have taken my Pug to see Dr Carrie right after surgery. Dr Carrie treats the body as a whole by offering nutritional recommendations, Chinese medicines, herbs, acupuncture, essential oils, etc....Healing and strengthening the immune system, blood flow, inflammation, pain relief, etc.... My dog had other health problems that were exacerbated by the cancer. In the end, we talked about her quality of life. She transitioned this world in a most peaceful and dignified way. The room was filled with so much love. I'm very grateful for Dr Carrie and a very special person who was also in the room with us. I believe in using both holistic and traditional vet care. For me, this whole thing was more about the lack of communication regarding your policy about nutritional supplements being non-returnable, than it was about the money. And the fact that you seemed completely unconcerned about my experience until I wrote this review. I believe it would be wholly appropriate to have a sign in the waiting room stating for your customers your office's policy that unopened supplements will not be refunded. I looked around carefully when I was there on July 31 to see if this had changed, but still did not see one. At the end of July you emailed me and invited me to bring in my UNOPENED nutritional supplements to receive a refund, which I did, and these purchases were credited back to my credit card. In August we realized that my cat was in pain and it was time. It was the most gut wrenching and devastating moment of my life, but it was made easier by Dr. Carrie's services. We were able to cancel my regular vet appointment and save Naj the stress of a trip in the car, and her willingness to come out on a Sunday morning meant we got to spend our weekend getting quality time in with Naj before the procedure had to be carried out. I will never be able to thank Dr. Carrie enough for making it possible to have my last memories of Naj be of us cuddling on the porch, wrapped in a blanket, instead of in a sterile office trying to keep her from panicking. The whole procedure was handled with dignity, and Dr. Carrie left us with literature touching on topics of grief and guilt, which we very much needed in that moment. We had asked to upgrade to a nicer urn with our package and Dr. Carrie was able to deliver. Nobody ever wants to be in a position to put a pet down. There is nothing that can prepare you for having to go through with letting your best friend go. What can help, however, is knowing that your pet will have the dignity of passing at home, in your arms, in a stress-free environment where they are surrounded by love. No fear, no stress, just sleep. I cannot recommend Dr. Carrie's services enough. Thank you, Dr. Carrie, for giving Naj the dignity and respect she deserved and for giving us the peace of mind we needed to do the right thing. read more

After months of trying different pills to control his pain, we made the difficult choice to put our wonderful senior dog Stanley to sleep. We decided it might be more stressful to bring him into our regular vet, so we searched online and found Dr. Carrie and Full Circle. She would come to our home and help Stanley pass on. I was able to communicate with Dr. Carrie via email and she was informative and kind. She said we could cancel at the last minute if we needed to...everything was on our terms. When the day came, Dr. Carrie and her assistant came to our home and were compassionate and patient. They got to know Stanley and got right on the floor to give him a pet when they walked in the door. When we were ready, they gave us all the explanations and time that we needed with each step. Stanley had a truly peaceful death in the bed he laid in with us each night, in the arms of my husband and I. Our other pets were able to see what was going on, so hopefully that has made things less stressful for them. After Dr. Carrie and her assistant left, we found they had left information on grieving your pet and a trinket that we have kept nearby ever since. A few days later, she checked in to see how we were doing and then delivered a paw print from Stanley in clay that we'll keep forever. I just can't say enough about Dr. Carrie and Full Circle. We found her services to be very affordable, but after going through this (and having not-so-great experiences in the past when our beloved pets were euthanized), we would have paid anything to have the peace of mind and compassion we were given. read more

I made a appointment with Full Circle for A Holistic Consultation for my dog Ladybird. I also requested a urine screening as I thought she may have a infection of some sort. As I entered the exam room, I left to use the bathroom for about 5 mins, returned and then patiently waited about 15-20 mins which made my appointment go over 20 mins, huge inconvenience for my schedule but whatever. Then the Doc greeted me and was super soft spoken and nice. I previously called the vet earlier in the day, and asked about the HC Appt I made-- in regards to a exam for LB. Just to be sure I wasn't paying $80 for some advice, rather I'd like for her to be looked at as well. So the vet tech on the phone mentioned, the HC was included for a exam and then I was later charge $130 for a HC & Exam. I was PISSED. I asked the tech about this and she stated I got a discount because usually it's a different price on It's own and then I payed the bill like an idiot. I was undeniably angry about this and should have demanded to speak with the Doc, SAD TO SAY but I WILL NEVER return again. I feel like I was absolutely ripped off and lied too. I hope the entire staff reads this, because I can't believe I was lied too and then demanded to pay a $130 bill for 1 HOUR of her time. Complete BS. If you go to this Vet, they will rip you off and lie to you on the phone. Beaware. read more

Just yesterday we had to let our 23 year old kitty, Humberto, go. He'd lived a long long life, and we love him deeply. But he became ill very unexpectedly and within a day we had to say goodbye. We really didn't know what to do because we didn't want him to suffer one more second but we didn't want to put him through the stress of load in a carrier, drive to the vet, and have his final moments be panic and confusion I looked up a few in home euthanizing services and we really liked what she had to say and why she does what she does. When she got to our home she put us a lot more at ease, explained it all fully, gave us all the time we needed. She was so natural and caring about the procedure that we barely noticed her doing it or that she was even in the room while we held him. What she does is such an amazing good thing, and I am so glad we called her. It made a heartbreaking situation a lot easier to deal with. So, bottom line is that Dr. Carrie is awesome. Most vets over-prescribe all sorts of medicine - monthly flea/tick, monthly heartworm, etc etc. As a result, I have learned to go to "holistic" vets, but let's face it, some if them are a little TOO holistic for my tastes (I don't think essential oils will cure cancer, for example). Dr. Carrie is the perfect blend - she knows her stuff and recommends the necessary vaccines/medicines without over-prescribing. She is a wealth of information and is friendly and warm.
