I will say I assume technology has vastly improved. I did not feel any of the Novocaine shots (4 or 5). After the area became numb he began. Next thing I know ... less than a minute, he says "tooth's out". WHAT‍ I felt nothing. Now it's been hrs since the Novocaine has worn off, no tingling like it used to be, and amazingly I am not in any pain. So I don't know if it's technology or just a fabulous dentist. I phoned the office several weeks ago asking if they performed a specialized procedure. I was advised that they do it and file the claim with medical providers as well as the dental insurance. I was told that I would get a final price after the dentist saw me. So today I drove an hour to the appointment. I spent 35 minutes filling out forms. Then a front office employee discusses my case with the dentist, apparently for the first time, who then advises me that the office doesn't perform this procedure. Because of the ineptness of the office staff I wasted 2 1/2 hours and a couple gallons of gas.

I want to share my experience with Aspen Dental so others are aware before choosing this office…read more I originally lived in Jacksonville, FL but was preparing to move to Orlando. I asked Aspen Dental if I should begin my treatment in Orlando instead of Orange Park. One of the dental assistants advised me to start in Orange Park, so I followed that recommendation and began treatment in May 2024. For months, I was traveling back and forth between Orange Park and Orlando for my appointments. When I received my first set of aligners in May, the dental assistant did not explain how to use them properly. Because of that, I mistakenly skipped from tray #1 to tray #3 or #4, not knowing I was supposed to use tray #2 next. At my next visit, a different dental assistant told me I had been using the trays incorrectly and that the previous assistant should have explained everything to me. By the time I reached tray #3, the top tray fit but the bottom tray did not. I returned to the office and was given a rubber chew tool to "force" the tray to fit. With that, tray #3 eventually fit, but the same problem continued with trays 4 through 12 -- the top tray fit, and the bottom tray never fit properly. When it was time to remove the attachments in October 2024, I pointed out that my teeth looked worse, not better. The assistant acknowledged the issue but still proceeded with the removal. In May 2025, I began visiting a new Aspen Dental office in Apopka, FL. They immediately noticed that my teeth were misaligned and that I had developed a habit of chewing on the side of my mouth because of the issues. They told me they would contact the Orange Park location to resolve the matter. Since June, I have been calling for updates. Every time, I was told they were "waiting on a response from the regional manager." In July, I heard the same thing. By my September 2025 appointment, the Apopka office informed me that the Orange Park office refused to come to an agreement and advised me to contact them directly. I tried repeatedly calling the Orange Park office, but they kept telling me a dental assistant would return my call. Now, they no longer answer my calls at all it seems they recognize my number and avoid responding. After months of being ignored and left with misaligned teeth, my next step will be to pursue legal action. This has been extremely frustrating, unprofessional, and disappointing.
