I agree with the other reviewers, this place is a total gem. My laundry comes out great and folded very nicely. They remembered me after I'd been in just once. Basically they don't even have to look for your ticket to figure out what package of laundry to give you back. It is just a pleasure to deal with anyone smart and on the ball. Also, they did great on my down comforter, it was perfectly clean and dry and fluffy! read more

Great service ! ..and they did the Best job ever; neat, clean, perfect folding, and they don't rip you off like the chain laundry Services- try them and you won't go back to wasting sooooo much time trying n. To get it all done yourself !! read more

Overpriced. Many of the machines don't work and will take your coins. The small parking lot is always full of cars from people who aren't using the laundromat even though there are signs saying it's private property- good luck finding parking during the mornings and afternoons. read more

Very clean and staff are helpful when needed. The laundry is conveniently located next to a Chavez supermarket so if you need anything or change it's perfectly located even to grab some food while you wait! The customers have all been friendly or keep to themselves! read more

Does an owner exist here that can be contacted? As usual there's a drifter on a bike just camped out in the back corner. I don't know if it's the mediocre free WiFi but you need to do something to prevent this. Change machine almost always broken. read more

A great and affordable place to get your laundry done. I've used their wash and fold service- the staff is always friendly, things come back clean and folded- like magic. All for a great price! read more

The price of this place is the best around, no one will argue that. But if they charge you for more weight of laundry than you actually brought in (WHICH THEY DO), the great price makes no difference... plus their service definitely leaves something to be desired. They have a middle aged bald man that works there who has a huge chip on his shoulder and has a huge power complex towards women. The way their service works is you drop off your clothes, they take it and hand you a little claim ticket for when your clothes are ready. Seems really easy, right? Well, I figured out what the catch to this is... the hard way. You come to pick up your clothes and they have already completed their service for you without you agreeing to the price they are going to charge or the weight of clothing they claim you brought in. When you show up to pick up your things, you have no choice but to accept the price they are charging you because the service is already done. They don't show you the weight of your clothes, and even when I asked to clarify (because the weight they claimed seemed REALLY high), the bald guy just brushed me off and said, "We have the cheapest prices around," blah blah blah. Cheapest prices or not, I want to pay for a service that I actually used. Don't charge me for 5-8 pounds more laundry than I actually brought in, just because you have the cheapest prices around. Then when I asked for them to show me their scales (I weighed my clothes at home and got a number almost 10 pounds lighter than what they claimed!), I saw that their scales don't start at 0, they don't compensate for this discrepancy at the end weighing, and they said they would subtract the weight of the laundry baskets (which is probably 1.5 pounds per basket), and they totally didn't! When they weighed everything in front of me, it came out to 69 pounds... but this was with their off-scale AND BEFORE subtracting anything from the baskets' weight. Considering their scale is off and the weight of the baskets, the total I should have been charged was probably 65 lbs. max, but they charged me for 70 pounds of laundry and acted as if this was justified even though with everything wrong in this situation it still only came out to 69 lbs! I mean this isn't the kind of service where, "Oh we should just round up." I am paying for what I had done and that's it. If you are someone who can spend an extra $15-20 every time you use their service then you should have no problems with this. They do a great job washing and folding the clothes. BUT, if you are a working student like me, those extra bucks can really make a difference down the line (if I got my laundry done twice a month, that would be and extra $360 a year down the drain for nothing, and that's not a hit I can take right now. Bottom line: If you want to use their service, either weigh your clothes at home (subtracting for the weight of the baskets) or have them weigh your clothes in front of you, and make sure they compensate for the scale being off and the weight off your baskets. In the end, they say they are going to do that, so THEY SHOULD DO IT. Don't false advertise. The benefit of it being a little mom and pop place completely gets outweighed because they don't have advanced enough tools like a scale they can use to weigh your clothes in front of you and scales that actually start at 0!!! Do your own research and make sure you're not getting robbed. read more

I tried this place out because of the great reviews. Such good reviews that I was SHOCKED how rude the employees were. When I dropped my clothes off they were very rude despite me being very respectful and having my clothes neatly in baskets for them. They were offended when I tried to point out which clothes I would like to be washed on delicate cycle. They said, "I have been doing this a long time and I know what needs to be done on delicate!" I was stunned with the attitude that was presented towards me. When I received my clothes, everything seemed okay until I got home and weighed the clothes myself. I then realized they had charged me for over 10 lbs the actual weight of my clothes. This made me wonder if their scale is properly functioning and if they actually subtracted the weight of the baskets holding my clothes like they advertise and promise (but btw there's no way my baskets weighed 10+ lbs). If you're not looking for decent customer service and you don't care what the price is, this may be an okay place for you. Just don't expect your socks to be matched properly. read more

Great service. Cash only. My clothes were folded neatly, dirty whites came back nice and bright and unlike the place I was using during my time in RWC, Family Wash, they didn't overdose me with fabric softener. I didn't really care for the paper and twine bundle I took delivery of, but it wasn't worth a deduction. I brought approximately 33-34 lbs (my normal "all my launder-able clothing") and I was charged for 40 lbs. They should just up their per/lb pricing and calibrate their scales and I would have given them a somewhat uncommon 5 stars. It's not how much they charged, it's how they weigh that I really take issue with. I did read the reviews before I dumped a load there and if you're ok with this, then by all means, enjoy this place. My mild OCD won't permit me to let this slip by, no matter how good the service really is. read more

I've tried a few different wash-and-fold places (hey, I'm a single guy), and Arguello is the absolute best. Friendly management, reasonable prices, and consistently great service, every time. read more

I been thinking about it for a while and finally thought I'd give wash & fold a try. I found Arguello Launderette by searching Yelp and chose it for it the good reviews and close proximity to my house. The reviews were spot on. I dropped off my clothes this morning on the way to work and picked them on my home from work. Being so busy during the week it's the little things...like not having to spend hours doing laundry at the laundromat on the weekend that make life a little easier. Definitely worth the price, which is very reasonably priced at $1.20 per pound. I will definitely use them again very soon. read more

The price is great, the cheapest wash and fold I have found, only a dollar a pound. Clothes and whatever they find in your clothes (money, earrings, etc.) are always returned promptly with your laundry. Fast and friendly service. They often offer to help carry your stuff to your car. read more

I use Arguello Launderette for my business. They are always on time, efficient & Fair with there pricing. It is a GEM of a place!

What a great place. After moving to the area, I tried few places but they weren't that great. Either way too expensive, damaged some of my shirts, or not including wash ans fold which I use as well. Then I found this place through Yelp. What a great find. Reasonable prices, great service, and a single guy dream with wash and fold service available as well. I am sold. read more

Great place. Friendly, honest and does a great job. Knew me after the first visit. Returned cash left in my husband's pockets. Definitely will start using them regularly, even though it is something of a trek for me to get there. read more

Whenever I get completely overwhelmed with laundry I drop off the bulk of it at Arguello. They are a family-owned business and do a great job - and at a very reasonable price. Every time I come to pick up my clothes they know immediately which packages are mine without looking at your tag - I don't know how they match your face to your clothes when they have so many to keep straight! If you need a break from doing laundry I highly recommend them. They couldn't be nicer and it's wonderful to get all your laundry fresh, clean, folded, and wrapped in brown paper and tied with string. It's better than most presents I could think of ! read more

Bad service and bad weighing system. Charged me for a lot more clothes than I actually had. Not worth it to me!

A friend at work recommended Arguello when we were moving. We have a large household and the laundry getting ready was out of control! So we took our 190 pound of laundry there. They were INCREDIBLE! the cloths looked brand new! they were clean, folded in nice manageable bundles AND they gave us $32.00 they had found in our cloths! How honest is that! Now we find ourselves buried in laundry again, so I am headed back there! Don't even think...just go!! read more
