The plant and flower stocks change seasonally and the items usually have helpful tips and information on the suitability. There are sections of the centre suitable for most purposes, from gravel and rocks to statues, fountains and pond liners. The pets section always has a great selection of fish too. My one gripe is that Christmas always comes VERY early to Gordon Riggs, with a strong emphasis on a very large (and impressive) seasonal lighting display. It could just do with arriving a few weeks or months later than it does though. That said, it's especially great for your pick of healthy, juicy christmas trees.

To be honest I only went because I wanted a bacon sarnie from the caravan that parks outside,only for it to be not there anymore!! That's probably because the centre has recently open up a bistro on the first floor,which I will check out one day. Can anybody remember a time when garden centres only sold things for the garden? On Sunday at Gordon Riggs I had the opportunity to buy (Deep breath):- Candles,Locusts,Crickets,Rabbits,Bearded Dragons,Vases,Books,Paving stones,Bloody Meerkat tat,Plants,Incense sticks,Essential oils,Bird Food,Bird Tables,Bird poison (Not really),CD's,DVD's,Tins of minced beef and onions and a carvery. And that is a good thing! because when I go to a garden centre the last thing I want to look at is garden stuff,as I stated in last years review of All in One garden Centre I hate gardens and gardening, so the more non gardening related things they sell the better, which is why I have a soft spot for Gordons place, anything that stops me having to look at bulbs and seeds is a good thing. But on this occasion that wasn't an option,it was Mrs Zombis birthday and she wanted to buy some plants. So off we went (I packed a chain just in case). Now as far as i'm concerned the worst thing we have ever done as a couple is buy a house with a garden. I just can never rouse myself to do anything in it,if money were no object then it would either be paved over or a gardener would be hired. So the walking along rows of flowers and plants made me long for rusty metal flagellation (good name for a metal band). This is not to do the garden centre down at all,it is how i feel about all of them. On this occasion though my mind was blown apart,when we got inside the centre they had a Deli!!! Yep,a Deli!!! Cheeses of the world,beautiful cooked meats,salamis and other sausages,beautiful artisan breads and stuffed olives of many a filling. That is only a small selection,they also stocked some really nice kitchen gadgets,smelly candles and stuff that i have never seen or heard of before... I bought some Pastrami ( the king of American Deli meats). And i have to honestly say that it was some of the nicest i have ever had. Really peppery and beefy. I haven't enjoyed pastrami so much since i had a stupidly big sandwich in Sausalito,but i can't just pop there whenever i fancy a peppery beef sarnie. But I can pop a mile and a half down the road to the All in one garden centre for one,and that'll do for me ta very much.....

I bought an paid on the 4th of march they had taken the money for a slow cooker and had given me…read morethe delivery date which was the 10th of march to then get an email on the 10th of march saying my order was cancelled (not by me it wasnt) so I ring them for them for them to then say the slow cooker was the wrong price yet again not my problem I didn't price it up you sold it me for £45 I expect to get the item I paid for not to be told a week later they have cancelled because it was priced wrong they will not admit they are in the wrong even with all proof so I have reported to trading standards on the principle I actually manage to find the same slow cooker at a lower price but will now avoid the range at all costs the customer service is shocking

First up, there's plenty of parking although it can be a bit tight at the weekends are people try and park near the entrance - my tip is just head to the far end of the car park where there's usually space. Upon entering you have to follow a bit of an Ikea-esque route through various kitchenwares and foods, followed by gifts, clothing and cards. There's all sorts here not specifically related to gardens - if you're looking for a gift you might find what you want here. You then come through to the main indoor section, a big area of which is devoted to interiors and decorating, and the rest is a rotating selection based on the season. At Christmas they have a lot here and it's really popular. From there you can pass through to another indoor section which has house plants, animal and plant supplies and tools. The house plant section has really expanded over the last year or so and we've picked up some really unusual plants here for much less than we've seen them on sale elsewhere. Finally you come through to the outdoor area which has a huge selection of both plants and physical objects like fencing and paving. We've pretty much built up our whole garden with supplies we've bought here. You'll also find a "bargain basement" corner for reduced plants which are worse for wear - we've picked up some real bargains here. Finally there's also a restaurant. We've never actually tried it ourselves but it always seems to be busy and people seem to come here specifically for it. All in all, it's a great garden centre. Unfortunately with COVID you can expect to queue as a result, and the Ikea-like route at the start can be a bit frustrating if you're here for something specific for your garden.

Then you go through to candle section with scarfs, bags, cards. general gifts etc Then there's a homeware department - clocks, fake flowers, decorative signs, rugs, vases, outdoor patio furniture & lights, gardening tools & pet supplies. Then outside there's the flowers, trees, tubs, baskets etc There's also a very good restaurant/cafe which serves breakfast, sandwiches, meals & lovely cakes. I always enjoy a look around Summerseat Garden Centre especially on a sunny day. They have an…read moreexcellent selection of plants and flowers and the staff are always so helpful and knowledgeable about what is the right thing to buy and time to plant it. However they offer much more than your average garden centre. There is a great high quality food section offering lots of organic choices as well as books, jewellery, cards and lovely gifts. They also have a café which serves home cooked meals and tasty soups and paninis so you can have a decent lunch there as well for a reasonable price. Summerseat is also a great place to visit at Christmas time as they decorate the place beautifully and you can buy some lovely Christmas themed stuff for your home.
