I visited Argos in Manchester Fort, full of praise for the stores cool layout, becoming all digital but little did I know what it was like to actually order and pick up a game.
I had pre-ordered a game online and picked it up, I hadn't paid for it in advance, which meant having to queue up at the tills, it was incredible slow and despite a large queue, I should have still been served and waiting for my game in minutes, but instead it took over half an hour.
Having picked up an age restricted item that wouldn't go through on the card payment tills (Very stupid despite being rated a "3", I had no choice but to queue despite paying on card.
The staff didn't really stand out, and really seemed to struggle with demand, but they was no excuse for that as they had ample staff and a queue that should have been solved within minutes, however it seemed like they were getting everyone item too and taking money off them, which they were not.
I also had to wait to get my item in a different queue after paying, which although was quicker still was ridiculous after such a long wait.
To conclude, try to avoid this Argos and get your item from another store, if you were in my situation and this was the only store that stocked it - Use the fast track service and pay on your card!
This situation is ridiculous and seems to be purposely done to make customers pay in advance, instead of reserving and picking up in store, so I can no longer warrant a rating for this store higher than a single one star. read more
