I particularly love vtheir range of DIY and gardening ranges - their selection of cheap bulbs is particularly good value - but they also have great stocks of cleaning products, toiletries (including cheap razor blades etc for men), tinned and pakaged foods, chocolate and sweets, etc. The store could be a bit cleaner but that probably reflects the popularity of the shop and the amount of dropped littera nd packaging can probably only be swept up at the end of the day. Staff are reasonably friendly at the checkouts, but i didnt get the feeling that any of them particularly loved working there. All in all though this is a really good option within the shopping centre for everyday items available at really good prices. Recommended.

The service thin on the ground like all Next's - they basically leave you to get on with it. Opposite Sainsbury's and on the same site as Boots, Mamas & Papas, JJb's and the Holiday Supermarket.

The staff are friendly and helpful which is always good, and the store is always clean and tidy and well organised, which makes it much easier to find what you are looking for. The returns policy isnt great so be careful with that. Also, the service can be poor when busy and the prices can be quite expensive compared to other places such as on the internet, so dont expect it to be the cheapest place to go to, because it isnt. We went there to spend wedding vouchers and were pleased to find it had a big range of products ranging from electrical goods to clothes and jewellery. It wasn't too crowded and the staff were really helpful in sorting out transferring our individual wedding giftcards on to one card. We will definitely go back to this Debenhams as it was so easy to be able to shop and then nip back to the car to drop the goods off before continuing shopping elsewhere.

This store is situated in the town centre, but not on the main shopping strip which can be frustrating, but it is easy to walk through the Newlands centre, and out the other side, where Wilkinsons is across the road. The store always looks well stocked and clean and tidy. The staff have always been helpful, especially on an occasion when I had to return some goods. I went straight to the customers services counter and was dealt with efficiently and quickly. It is always busy in this store, but they do open up more tills when the queues get busy and there always seems to be plenty of staff to help out. They have some great offers on at the end of seasons too, such as 75% off garden furniture, bulbs or Christmas goods. It is one of my first stops when buying cleaning products and toiletries as the prices and deals are so good. I would recommend this store.

Beatties is a really nice department store that sells good quality items and has a really good…read morerange of products. They sell similar ranges to BHS and Marks and Spencers such as clothing and accessories, homewares and soft furnishings, gifts and seasonal items, but they also have fantastic cosmetics and perfume counters where you can get advice on skin care and make up and I believe that they do some demonstrations too. They often sell gift sets that are unavailable in other stores. The clothing ranges are split into departments for differnent ranges and designers and they offer clothing designers suitable for all age ranges. The store is a large one which has two floors accessible by an escalator. There is free parking in the Grosvenor centre where it is situated and the store can be accessed through two separate entrances. The store is nicely laid out and although some of the items may be a bit more expensive than smaller stores, they often sell things that you cannot get in other stores and it is a great place to pick up a variety of goods, so fantastic for Christmas shopping.
