Same as all the other branches of the Argos chain, cheap n cheerful. Always seems to be quite a wait for your order here, even when you're the only customer. Most things seem to be in stock at this branch though. read more

They sell some nice pictures and some furniture at good prices as well as lampshades, bedding, party items including toys, bags and bubbles. I think this is probably the best shop in the town as there is not much else there but it looks like there is going to be some new shops in the future. It is worth a visit to check out how cheap it can be.

As it's small the range isn't great. In general Debenhams returns policy isn't good as the other department stores like John Lewis. I purchased a bathroom robe which started fraying straight away. The staff in Debenhams were not interested and telling me to send the item to their QA department! I only use Debenhams if I have to!

The signs in this part of the car park are faded to white and can not be read but the parking company still issues tickets on this site this is illegal. The landlords of the Lion and Lamb should be ashamed that they let this unscruples action carry on. I will not shop here again until Town and City Parking get there act together and the landlords get them to replace the signs this is a clear case of entrapment on TCPbehalf

They have a half decent motor and garden section. I managed to get hold of 2 new headlight bulbs for £1.98 which would have cost over £15 in Halfords! They also have a decent outdoor section with some real bargain picnic items.

I bought some steel toe cap boots for less than £20 and they are not only really well made but also really comfortable. The best thing about this shop is the very low prices for kids footwear. When they grow out of them so quickly it is reassuring to know that you can get good quality footwear for a very reasonable price!
