Wonderful experience. I came from out of town and was hoping to find some Arepas, and i did. I got their chicken arepa and hot dog. Hot dog was fulfilling and good. Arepa was delicious! The place was very clean and the people working there were nice and attentive. Would definitely come again when I'm in town.

I love arepas and was excited to try this little spot in a cute townhouse neighborhood. It is a small place with a few tables inside and outside with a colorful mural. We ordered the Blondie and the Big Boss arepas plus a cheese empanada. Everything tasted great and I honestly wanted another one but at $10 an arepa it felt a bit too steep. The food was very good and I am glad we went. Id be interested in trying a bowl next time!

What a fantastic find, the Apreas and Empanadas were favorable and packed with quality yummy goodness all wrapped in a tasty golden crust. Definitely a repeat spot for some tasty bites.

Epa! These arepas were the best! I haven't had an arepa since I was a kid and was really looking forward to visiting Arepa Spot while in town for New Year. I've had it saved for a while and after trying them, they did not disappoint! Upon walking in, you immediately forget that you're in Myrtle Beach and instead feel like you've been transported to Venezuela. One man behind the counter was running the show, but he greeted us swiftly and took our orders. A few others walked in right after so it took a bit to receive our food, but it was definitely worth the wait. It gave us time to take in the aesthetics of the place. Cool graffiti, neon signage, and a wall with sayings from Venezuela, gave us plenty to occupy our time. We each ordered "The Blondie" and split "The Vegan One" (see pictures for the list of ingredients). Warm crispy edges, generous filling, and an authentic and flavorful sauce made for the perfect bite...after bite...after bite! Needless to say, it didn't last long! As a lover of sweet plantains, The Vegan One was my favorite, but I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu! When in town, take a trip off the beaten path, and try this place out! We are so glad we did and we plan on going back for some empanadas next time!

OMG!!! Soooo Good!!!!! We had The Boss and The Pabellon. Absolutely delicious!!!! They look small but are packed with meat and yummy sauces perfectly cooked sweet plantains, very filling. The Tequenõs were also super yummy especially with the sauce. We also had Chicha to drink, it was very good(kinda of like a thick horchata)!!! It is a little corner spot with cute/fun decor inside and a little section of outdoor seating too! Service was so fast and they were VERY friendly. I had to go back inside when we were done just to tell them how amazing bit was!!!!

AMAZING spot! The food was 10/10, and as an added bonus everything on the menu is gluten free!! Staff is very kind and friendly too. Can't recommend this place enough!

Egg Arepa with avocado tomato onion and fresh cilantro, amazing!

A little hidden gem at Myrtle Beach, SC. The service could be a little more organized. But besides that the arepa was delish. Cute little corner unit not too far from the beach.

This is street food and is about the size of a regular hamburger in circumference. My husband ordered the "The King" he said it tasted good and had a good amount of meat despite looking small. I got "The Queen" it tasted like a bland super wet mayonnaisey chicken salad and made the bread really soggy it did have a good amount of meat in it for the size. We ordered the "Chicken Empanada" and it was better than my "The Queen" dish. The chicken empanada smelled like it had a apple pie like sweet bread layer on the outside and it tasted great I could of just had that outer layer bread and been satisfied. Inside is shredded chicken and its covered in yellow stuff that tastes like curry to me but not sure what it is. This is our first time. I am very greatful that the sign posted in a prior review said the whole menu is gluten free!!! I'm celiac!! The service was good. Server was friendly. A couple of tables inside small dining area. We got ours to go.

High quality food, love that there's a Venezuelan spot in the area. The coffee is tasty, the bowls are nice choices as well, alot of different items in the bowl. This will be a go too spot for lunches for me going forward. I've had the arepas and those are delicious as well. Service was friendly and kind and the ambiance is simple, it's good for a lunch stop

Absolutely wonderful! Great vibe and very friendly and helpful staff. If you have never had, Venezuelan, this place is definitely worth trying!

Pollo Loko - North Charleston, SC…read more The wife and I stopped into Pollo Loko for a quick lunch, not expecting much... and wow, what a surprise this place turned out to be. First off, the customer service was outstanding. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely made us feel appreciated from the moment we walked in. You don't always get that kind of attention these days, so it really stood out. The restaurant itself was spotless, well-kept, and had a great vibe. You can tell they take pride in the place. Now let's talk about the food -- because this is where they really shine. We started with the empanadas, which were absolutely delicious -- fresh, flavorful, and the perfect way to kick things off. For our main, we ordered the Peruvian chicken, served with fries and rice, and it did not disappoint. The chicken was cooked perfectly, packed with flavor, and paired incredibly well with their signature sauces -- seriously, those sauces take everything to another level. Even the salad was fresh and tasty, which says a lot because that's usually an afterthought at most places. On top of that, they've got a great selection of sodas and other drinks, making it a perfect stop for a casual lunch. Bottom line: An unexpected gem with amazing food, top-tier service, and a clean, welcoming atmosphere. **Highly recommend -- 5 stars, 3 thumbs up from us.

This is a fast casual style restaurant and not a real fancy place. My picky colleague who's never had peruvian ordered the ribs. Quesadiladas - you get 2 in an order and these are different than Mexican ones since they have grilled bell peppers and onions. A bit pricy too...the rice and beans that come with this are just average. They only had 2 salsas for the table, a green ranch like one and a red spicy one similar to a spicy Mexican red sauce. I'm still looking for a peruvian restaurant that has the spicy green sauce that most all peruvian restaurants have in California.

They have a variety of arepa fillings, including vegetarian as well as vegan cheese. You can choose whether you want it grilled or fried. Partner and I ordered both grilled ($8.75) and fried beef ($8.00) arepas and we got a huge portion of shredded beef. His beef was bulging out of his arepa. The beef was flavorful and moist, with a salty seasoning. The arepa corn flour dough thickness was good, not too thick and not too thin. We both couldn't finish our arepas-they were very filling. I'm glad I didn't order an addition of cheese because that would have been way too filling. They had 3 sauces you can add to your foods. Only got to try 2 of them: a spicy orange colored one and a cilantro one. They were both mayonnaise-based and made the arepa taste much better. Also tried a tequeno, a fried cheese stick of queso blanco enclosed in a pastry dough. The tequeno was good, not oily. White cheese does not melt much, so it's not very stringy. They advertised on Facebook (on the day we visited) that if you ask for the daily special you get a side of plantains for free. The plaintains came with cheese and were cooked well with some crispy bits. Next time I will try other arepa fillings!

Wish I had some salsa to add to it to add extra flavor. The Asadita Steak ($12.25) was an arepa with carne asada, pico de gallo, green sauce. The arepa dough itself was crispy but a bit too oily.
