I've had better experiences in bridal boutiques…read more I'd noticed this shop a few times and as a bride to be I was keen to go in for a look around at the shoes and hair accessories. I parked up outside and was able to dander in. The door wasn't locked so there was no reason for me not to go in. Upon entering I noticed a few people at the cash desk to whom I said hello and made my way to the cabinets displaying all the bridal bits and bobs. The shop assistant excused herself from her clients and came over to me and asked if I was OK, I explained that I was just having a look at the shoes and that to which she replied that I should make an appointment as she was busy. I WAS JUST LOOKING! She then handed me a business card and told me I could make an appointment over the phone. Basically, I got the feeling that I was being asked to leave. I don't understand, I was just looking and the doors were open to the public. I get it that most bridal houses make you have an appointment but if they don't want folk walking in to look at their display cabinets they should lock the bloomin' doors. Nice hair pieces and jewellery but not a very welcoming environment. Like I always say though, maybe it was just bad timing on my part or maybe they were having a bad day or maybe the service is so personal that a stranger is not even allowed within earshot of each bride to be - I dunno. I'll get my accessories from somewhere else.

The staff were very helpful and they looked after not only my friend but me aswell. The range of gowns was plentyful and the quality of them was excellent. Their prices seemed to be not out of reach for the ordinary girl and the boutique it'self was very clean and tidy. I looked at both previous reviews and couldn't understand the negative review, as Bliss have a notice on their door saying BY APPOINTMENT ONLY, which is also recommended on their website. When I'm ready for the big day I shall be paying a visist to Bliss to look for my gown as I had such a nice experience there.

The "helpful and friendly" facade disappeared pretty quick when I voiced my disappointment.

As it turns out it costs £25 to have a consultation with Joanne and she has a great reputation in the town for a very special bespoke one to one service. I wasn't willing to pay £25 as I just wanted a nosy at her shoes and jewellery. As I have already mentioned she is an absolute professional and this can be seen in the way the shop is kept as well as her informative website. She has over twenty years experience with embroidery and design because of this she is able to create themes for the bride which can be carried over onto the bridesmaids and grooms outfits. I think she may be the only bridal shop in the area with an extensive menswear department upstairs. I'll get in for a nosy yet but based on other brides and first impressions of the shop and the site I feel I can recommend it.

My friend was told she couldn't use the bathroom due to security reasons and was told to go to the resturant next door to use their facilities. The girl we were due to see 'Le-anne' wasn't there, we were told serveral times that she was at her own formal and they didn't know why the appointment was made so late in the day. The staff were very rude and unhelpful during our whole experience. They rushed us though the fitting because they were closing at 5 and were reluctant to make another appointment for a time and day that suited us because it didn't suit Le-anne. All in all we were disgusted with the way we were treated and the sheer rudeness of the staff and management involved.

My aunt was getting remarried and was eager to take me along gown hunting for moral support... stepping inside the shop I found it bright, spacious & well laid out. Rows of beautiful gowns hanging that would surely capture any brides heart - however the let down for me was the staff. Was greeted by a slightly older lady whom assuming I was the bride give me an "up/down" glance that indicated my size would be an issue. Once my aunt stepped in and informed her she was the bride an almost instant wave of relief seem to sweep over the lady. My aunt being a neat little size 12 seemed to fit the bill better than a plus size me. After explaining the budget/requirements the lady continiously pointed out gowns that were very heavily above budget - we were about to leave when I spotted an Ivory Bridesmaids gown & needless to say my aunt fell in love with it and was able to purchase it there and then. Otherwise we would have been leaving empty handed as the shop assistant really didn't guide the appointment well at all. Lovely gowns but unfortunately the staff let this bridal shop down heavily - wouln't reccomend it to others with this level of customer service. Parking also an issue.

We were dealing with Leondra (to my surprise is the owner) she didn't know my name, didn't introduce herself, made me and mu guests feel very uncomfortable, and was no help whatsoever. When I showed her screen shots of dresses I liked and wanted to try she said "Sold", to basically my 3 favourite, but didn't suggest or recommend anything similar. I walked into the dressing room and she just said "Strip", I didn't get any privacy at all. After a couple dresses I was very upset, which was quite clear. I had tears in my eyes and nearly left after 20 minutes. I asked if we could have some Prosecco. She said she had none left, but I don't think she ever had any. I told my sister I was feeling very uncomfortable, she must of heard me because she tried to make small talk with me then in the dressing room, but it was too late at that stage. It was already too awkward and I was going to leave I was so upset. After that my guests jumped up and started doing her job (this is after she was so extremely rude to them), finding dresses to suit me better, getting a veil, creating a nice atmosphere. It took a while to build up my spirits again but luckily I had great people with me. My pregnant sister had to trouble her for a glass of water after an hour of sitting there. I have never met anyone so bad at their job. I found a nice dress my friend picked out for me and as soon as I left I started looking up any other boutique in Ireland with the same designer to avoid ever having to go back. I never leave reviews but I would hate for another bride to have the same experience. It really knocked my confidence and took any enjoyment out of the experience. I was booked into another place the next day and honesty had no interest in going, thankfully it was an incredible experience the next day with women who were great at their jobs and I found my dress. If you have already booked in here I recommend requesting a different person to help you, and bring a great bride tribe to defend you end up in a similar situation.

I didn't hold out much hope on first viewing the old fashioned front of the shop but the windows had a nice display and they seemed to have a large selection of styles and colours. Leaving the missus to man the frontline I lurked near the back as is my wont and let her get on with the business at hand. The shop was a bit better inside and seemed to be quite busy with a few brides (plus posse's) trying on dresses and grabbing dresses off the racks. Staff seemed pretty ok though maybe a bit stressed with it being busy and I thought that was a pity as I imagine each woman would've preferred a more personal touch whilst choosing a dress for their big day. After a quick browse it was decreed that this shop wasn't for us and we left. Pros: Big selection. Cons: Staff weren't the most helpful
