I first came across this roaming "mobile boutique" at the Richmond World Festival this year, and was fascinated by the concept! Food trucks, sure, we have seen a dime a dozen here in Vancouver. But fashion trucks? This was the first I had come across! I visited the truck again recently when they made an appearance at the 2015 Vancouver Home & Design Show.
The interior of the truck is set up just like any other small store - a little crampy to get around (especially when there are more than 3-4 people browsing at the same time), but everything is laid out beautifully.
The products Ardillas United sells range from fashion pieces such as jewelry & scarves, to home decor items such as furniture & household items.
A few weeks ago, I was lucky to have won a giveaway that included some Ardillas United items: a bullet necklace, a set of Toluca Coasters (handmade in Mexico from 100% wool!), a Babushka Scarf, and a Zig Zag Toss Cushion. I found all of the items to be of great quality, especially the Toss Cushion - its cover was made of linen, and the cushion inside was plump & fluffy!
Overall, quality items, and a very fun truck to shop in! The owners Kora and Karolina are also 2 of the friendliest store owners I've met! I will definitely keep an eye out for their truck's appearances at upcoming events. (I heard they also do private shopping parties.) read more
