I always thought handwoven persian rugs were out of my budget. But I was lucky that he had a bunch on clearance when I went (6 ft x 4 ft for $295 plus tax). The price is a bit higher than the rugs I saw at Home Depot/Rona/Canadian Tire/Sears but the quality is way better (at least in my opinion). So if you're thinking of buying a rug, consider going down to this store to look at the selection and broaden your options. The rugs themselves - every single one was ABSOLUTELY gorgeous. It took me almost an hour to look through the different options for medium size rugs and it was tough to decide on which one to get. He has rugs from Iran, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, all handwoven. I suggest you look on the website (rugcanada.com) to get a sense of prices. The photos on the website do not do the rugs any justice - you should go down there to see them in person.

The store is almost like a museum. It's kind of organized at least so you don't feel like you might trip or have something crawl out at you or tip over. I could never get in during their opening hours because I'd always be in this area way too early. So, I browsed their products online and came during their opening hours to pick up my item recently. I loved everything they have in the store! It is so girly and pink, and cute!! They have lots of kitchen items, pillows, baskets, party items, jewelry pieces and more. They are HUGE on anything pink here. The woman working here was really nice and welcoming once I walked in the boutique. She was very busy with another customer and the phone was ringing, while she was doing something, all at once. I came in to pick up a Valentine item with a heart on it, which I love very much! An extra bonus point for something that is creative and functional. These glass cups are made from previously used glass material. The artist decorates these with awesome images and decor that is more Canadian than hipster. Guy working the booth was super friendly. Prices are very fair as well.

For a dollar store-type of place, Super Bargain does the job. They've got cheap housewares, weird…read morestuff you only find in discount shops, Christmas and party decor (I found disco ball Christmas ornaments!), cards, and batteries. It's no Wonderbucks or Daiso, but rather their ordinary neighbourhood cousin. Since this is NOT a store where everything is a dollar, I appreciate that they don't try to use words like "Loonie" or "Dollar" in the name. That way, you know you're going into a cheapie place, but don't feel deceived with something is $2.29.

Just makes a. body feel good to know that I'm helping to build up the Communist Chinese economy (but not the pay checks of the hard working people who slave away at producing their goods), while at the same time helping to destroy Canada's economy every time I make a purchase. Yep, that's something we call ALL be 'proud' of! Anyway, really nice folks operate the store; they probably barely make a subsistence level income from the stuff they sell (seriously), so help 'em out by buying a genuine Made in China 'Canadian' flag. They sell those too! Oh Canada - Our Bought And Sold Out Land! (update: I stopped in yesterday and asked what they have in stock for Korean products. They informed me that they have those warm, furry (fake fur) blankets. They also said that Korean products are now too expensive to compete with Chinese products. They say that 98% of their stock is from China. But you know, that's probably about on par with Walmart, Target, JC Penny, and many, many other big box stores.
