I had initially done business with another insurance company, but their prices were exorbitant. I required an insurance company which could insure everything under one roof, whether it be multiple properties and rentals plus autos. I was hard pressed to find many companies that would satisfy my needs. I was recommended to use an insurance broker. I was shopping and found Jorge was able to fit my needs and most importantly responsive. I searched extensively and was hard pressed to find someone that fit my criteria. On top of that, High Sierra was able to save some cost since they were able to insure most of my needs under one roof. If you are looking for a great insurance broker, Jorge Serrano of High Sierra Insurance my very well fit your needs.

I highly recommend the Farmers Insurance office of Eric Olivas, and in particular, Ms. Rachael…read moreSchryer. Ms. Schryer is both thoroughly competent and unfailingly resourceful in what I have found to be a sea of insurance-industry indifference, incompetence and bureaucracy. My mother's home and car were insured by a major national company whose name is prioritized in an alphabetical list. Upon her passing, it was utterly impossible to continue home and car coverage through them, despite my being on titles for both. After several phone calls and my satisfying their multiple requests that ended up being irrelevant, I had believed it was simply impossible to continue coverage while I was out of the country. A friend suggested either an insurance broker or a more local company. I am grateful to past reviewers that led me to Rachael Schryer in the office of Eric Olivas. With Ms. Schryer, not only was I able to obtain coverage for my mom's home without issue, but also her car. Unfortunately, I only realized that I filled out the wrong DMV form when I was finally forwarded a notice that the DMV had cancelled the car registration. Based on the DMV website, I would have had to pay over $1000 and wait 45 days before I could get anything straightened out. Ms. Schryer went above and beyond in helping me get the mess straightened out for much less cost and delay by connecting me with a DMV agent who was just as helpful. In closing, I cannot recommend Rachael Schryer in the office of Eric Olivas enough. Insurance is one of those things that you hope is uneventful, but when things go wrong, you want someone exceedingly competent and helpful on your side.

My original insurance agency was bought out by a large corporation…read more The large corporation hasn't seemed to return my calls or even bother to check on me once in a while the last three years. They just send out a bill every year. And it kept going up the last couple of years by 2-3 hundred dollars a year. So I set out to return back to a small agency closer to home that would provide a more personal service. Yelper Michelle H's mom work at A&H, and they are just a couple of blocks from my house. A couple of months before my renewal date, I dropped of my current policies and explained to Betty what I wanted to keep and adjust. In a few weeks she came back with a new company for me and a savings of several hundred dollars. Betty made the transition easy. She even took care of canceling with LP so I didn't even have to sit on hold while the didn't respond. She set me so I could pay by card on the date I wanted. And the new company has an easy to navigate app. So between Betty and the app, I'm pretty covered in any emergency. The building is easy to find on the west side of South Virginia near the UHaul Center. They have their own large private parking lot. The turning lane makes it easy to enter and exit.

I hate to be one of "those people" but here goes.... I've been a customer of State Farm for over 20…read moreyears. I can honestly say that until today, every single interaction that I've ever had with a State Farm employee or agency representative has been positive. 10 days ago, we filed a windshield claim for one of my cars. Due to some snafu in the system, the claim wasn't getting sent to the vendor in which they were assigning the repair. We called repeatedly and texted the office to help us figure out why - they didn't answer their phones for days and due to work limitations, leaving a message was not an option. They responded to our texts from 6/20 on 6/26.... We finally got through!!! THEN it took several hours on the phone with the agency today to resolve the claim issue. No one would take ownership or attempt to resolve the issue, it kept getting pawned back onto me & my daughter. After several hours, I requested a callback from a supervisor or Jenn herself. Well, both called back.... The supervisor was very friendly and helpful, apologizing and taking ownership of the mess up. But Jenn was incredibly rude, very condescending tone and took no accountability for her understaffed and undertrained office. She basically told me that i was minority inconvenienced, but that SHE was majorly stressed due to the recent State Farm rate increases - so I should be grateful that it wasn't worse. With every previous agent that I've had, they've been an advocate for me as a customer. Jenn made it clear that my complaint was an inconvenience to her and offered no apology or acceptance of accountability for her agency's poor service and the issues within the company she represents. Within 2 minutes of me requesting to be moved to another agency, I had an email confirmation from State Farm directly confirming the change.

I had been working on getting insurance set up for a home I was buying in Reno but felt frustrated after weeks of back and forth with my previous insurance agent and still no quote. So, I decided to give Courtney a call to see what she would be able to do. WOW - what a difference!! I gave her the information about the new home and my car in the afternoon and had an email with a detailed quote attached by the next morning!! I also got a followup call from Courtney by mid-day to make sure I got the quote and to see if I had any questions. She lined me up with insurance coverage that had excellent provisions for both home and auto coverage and at a very reasonable cost. I was so happy and impressed by Courtney's professionalism and the level of customer service she provided. But wait, it gets better. A few months after establishing this new insurance coverage I ended up having a claim. My car slid on some black ice and hit a truck that was stopped at a light. I wasn't moving very fast but, sadly, my car was determined a total loss. I was a quite distraught on hearing this and I was worried about getting less money for my car than I would truly need to replace it. Courtney helped me in the claim process and followed up with the the claim handler numerous times. The insurance carrier gave me an excellent settlement for the value of my car and I was paid promptly. Also, my auto insurance coverage included a very good rental allowance and so I was able to rent a quality car for several weeks which allowed me the time I needed to find and buy another car. This experience made clear to me that I not only have excellent insurance but that I now have a wonderful Insurance Agent in Courtney - I can rest assured and trust in her knowledge of the industry, professionalism, and top notch customer service. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Courtney Coberly at Comstock Insurance to anyone looking for a GREAT Insurance Agent at a great company!!
