Not only did he get worse, he was also hospitalized 3x while there in the span of 6 wks. The third and final time he never returned and he died shortly after. He aspirated food while being fed and developed pneumonia. The administration, social worker, and drs do not return phone calls and are never available. His treatment plan changed regularly because they couldn't figure it out. There was a man crawling all over my father's bed that did not even have a sheet on it while we were visiting him. He was so over medicated that the hospital had to wean him off most of the meds he was placed on. It is a horrible place - they should be investigated and shut down.

With no…read moreformal diagnosis, my brother was drugged with 3 heavy psychiatric drugs, no one on one therapy and placed in a dementia unit. He wasn't allowed a book, a tablet, a phone. Nothing. Two of the three staff psychiatrists determined that he did not have dementia and shouldn't be on the drugs. It took numerable emails and phone calls to Christian Health management including the CEO, Medical Director, VP of Mental Health, Heads of Social Services and Nursing to get him out of this hellhole. And he lost 17 pounds in 40 days. Ramapo Ridge drugs patients, they don't treat them. Don't ever let one of your loved ones go there. They should have their license revoked. And I have reported them to the New Jersey Department of Health.

We spoke the other day with the medical director. He took a good amount of time to talk to us about my loved one's medical condition and our concerns. Looked in depth at his chart and history. Ultimately told us to invite our loved one's PCP to contact him to share thoughts to try to dig deeper into some things. In short, very personal attentive one on one care. Very knowledgeable. You don't get that everywhere if at all. The fact the head medical director made himself available to us without requiring a scheduled meeting or heads up is amazing care. Every staff member we have encountered is kind and friendly. Very personable and outgoing. You don't get the bare minimum. You can tell they care. They joke. They express concern. They listen and interact. And we have seen this with other patients in other rooms when no third parties are around. So it isn't just best behavior when family is present. It is the way of life here. So I continue to be so pleased with this facility.

There are friendly faces everywhere. They are so very attentive to the patients. It is remarkably clean. The food is fresh and flavorful and varied. They have many social events planned and the guests are welcome to sit in the common areas or go outside with family. They have coffee bar set up for patients and family. Everything about this facility gives you comfort in knowing your loved ones are being well cared for.

During…read moremy first day, immediately after breakfast, an occupational therapist arrived at my bedside and coached me out of bed and on to a walker. She gave me very specific instructions on how to put on my pants and shirt and stand for the first time in almost five weeks. I was in discomfort, but she guided me, and we began my first journey via wheelchair to the state of the art and airy well-lit gym. This care, compassion and physical guidance continued for my two weeks stay from both the occupational and physical therapists. By my second week I was navigating the facility, coached on stair climbing, dressing, performing household duties from dishwashing to emptying the washing machine and navigating safely the simulated apartment in the facility. Physical therapy everyday coached with a series of exercises that increased my strength leading to greater mobility. Each day I felt more confident and comfortable with my physical mobility challenges and by the end of my second week was moving around with just the aid of a cane. This team of PT professionals all had an expertise that led to my ability to return to my home. In addition, I cannot speak highly enough of the bedside healthcare professionals from nurses, to on site doctors and nurses' aides. Every component of this team made sure I was administered my medication in a timely manner, fed three excellent meals per day and was washed and cleaned each morning with fresh linens on my bed. As a patient I thank the entire staff for their well-coordinated effort, as I now navigate the continuous recovery process with a visiting home healthcare team.

The changing rooms and showers are very clean. They provide locked lockers. The heated salt water chlorinated pool felt really nice with easy, walk-in stairs to enter the pool. The pool has multiple depths ranging from 4 foot to 6 feet all very visibly marked and also cute little rubber duckies help mark your location in the pool. The therapist that worked with me is Pam. She was very watchful of my therapeutic movements and corrected me when necessary. I was set up for some ice therapy after changing. I enjoyed this kind of PT very much and had minimal pain while doing the exercises. I am however a bit sore today which was to be expected. Looking forward to my next session!

I have gone to many PT places and this is by far the best! All the staff is friendly and very helpful. Pam is a wonderful therapist she manages several patients in the pool at a time. I was in pretty bad shape when I started but have progressively been getting better. Pam has realistic goals for each person. This is not a sports medicine clinic, as I said I have gone to many PT places and the focus was always on sports medicine and not all clients are are going for those type of injuries. Pam looks at each client as an individual and gives specific treatment for your needs. Pam and her staff caters to all ages I have seen ages 15 through 90 and all are getting treatment specfic to their needs.
