My daughter is 19 months…read moreold so, we decided to take our first girl's trip here for a weekend in Carmel to coincide with the 5k hosted at this market. It does feel authentic - but it's cramped into this small, adorable city center area which is super cute. Problem, it's a small, cramped space and was difficult to even walk down the rows (like, so cramped you were just stopped elbow to elbow pushing against people not moving) and with my daughter's stroller it was a nightmare. The lines for food were at least 50 people deep for every single vendor so, if you wanted to sample multiple things you'd be waiting hours... They did have authentic German souvenirs and the boot mugs are adorable! Lots of cute places for photo ops. There were some issues - the penny press didn't work and took my $.51 and gave me a mangled, flat penny. I had dollars and pennies but no quarters and literally no one vendor or place here had change. I feel you should not have a penny press without offering people change... it should be located in one of the customer help/service tents. The 5k was fun and well-done - small group of around 2500 runners and starts and ends at the market. It was nice bc I got to see the spaces and walk around and take some pictures without the crowds. If we ever come back, it'll be much earlier in the season and during a week day to avoid the insane crowds we had on the last Saturday before Christmas. I think the 5k should be earlier in the season so it'll be warmer and less crowded.

The mulled wine, spiked ciders and other interesting hot beverages will keep you warm while you peruse the various vendors seasonal offerings. Every year they have a different Christkindlmarkt mug with the year and new theme to collect. This year we were delighted to experience a glassblowing event. Artists visit from Germany had a demo making glass ornaments and it was fun to watch and nice to be warm and indoors for a bit. Purchased a gorgeous glass hummingbird ornament as a gift for my mom. I love standing by the fire near giant lit up windmill eating the boiled potatoes topped with raclette cheese, bacon and onions. Something we look forward to every year. They added shuttle this year and there is also free parking in a couple lots nearby if you're lucky enough to snag a spot or get there early enough. Arrive early if you can! Bundle up and do a little Christmas shopping and even ice skating if you're up for it. There are tons of unique gifts and food and drinks to try. Enjoy!

I want to show my gratitude and thankfulness to all professional workers, especially Alan and Robbie who I just met as within moments made me feel incredibly respected, appreciated and heard. Nothing but love. I spoke to Alan on the phone whom inspired me, that this kind of event is possible for my husband's birthday party, even a smaller event planning and made the cost reasonable. The gentlemen who came to set up the equipment were helpful and professional in every way. My husband nor many of my guest did not even know I had planned this event for his party, which made it even more special and boy was he in for a wonderful surprise. The equipment tables were real and authentic, of those you see in the Casinos'. They roped off sections for the guests inviting them into a red-carpet event of fun and entertainment. They accommodated me in every way. Let me say that again if I may, they accommodated me in every way to lead my party event with respect and dignity. They asked me how I would like my party to go, freely gave suggestions and tips when I asked from past parties that allowed me to make the best decision for the evening. And my decision was entrusting Alan and Robbie to lead the event in their talents gifts and abilities. A wealth of offering of themselves in accommodating service of professionalism, compassionate care for all. This just wasn't about hosting an event, this was about offering themselves in promoting a fun filled night to help make it a success which exceeding my expectations. The moment I met Alan and Robbie, I knew what an excellent choice I had made. The love connection was already spoken for. There is no money involved but gifts I supplied to my guest that made the evening more a success. Robbie and Alan took care of all the work in raffling tickets and passing out the prizes, as one of the prize we snuck in as a gag gift. Great sport to my friend who played along with Alans' gift of comical speaking skills engaging the crowd, and Robbie's help of hype in bantering in fun taunts and silliness. What partnership between the two. As I played music, almost too loud at times, we sang, people danced and even a "YEE HAW" was yelled at the prompting of Alan on the mic. The black jack table and roulette game worked best for my party, as some didn't even sit down for a minute to stop in the fun, with "fun money cards", prizes won throughout the night, comical taunts to the guests and husband, all was well received in good humor. Thank you again, to Alan and Robbie who made my small birthday party for my husband a great success and memory that will last forever. Your company brought my family and friends joy, laughter, fellowship with one another, dancing, singing, and a memory of love that you can't put a price on. True Wealth my friends, is something that can't be bought. And they delivered. As one who "Sees" true wealth in the world and true riches from God's Kingdom perspective, this can never be duplicated nor copied.
