And when I return the beer for a refund they have some weird, dumb crazy facile excuses. What is the point here - they get expired beer for cheap and sell it to suckers for a small profit? Weird. Last month I went to this place, hopefully for the last time, and they sold me beer that was dated July 2022! Incredible. Also love how there is a day care center (!) in the same building. Real healthy to have a day care center in a gas station. Please avoid this place that contributes nothing to society, sells nothing but junk food and alcohol and cigs, and is run by petty scammers. Well, Drew did not disappoint. He & the gentleman with him took my order, which was huge (I wanted to try everything) & I'd remarked to them how impressed I was with what I'd read about their store & about them as people. The food was excellent! Perfect temperature, humungous, crisp catfish, plump gizzards, tasty pizza sticks, & both bbq & bean with cheese chimichangas/burritos. Everything was absolutely delicious. My husband & I live on Whidbey Island, so by the time we get there, which takes 2 hours, we're ready to have a feast when we get back home, which takes another 2 hours. This meal was the perfect ending to our busy day. Thank you, Drew for being such a positive fixture & an inspiration to everyone out there. You make people's day all the brighter after even just a brief encounter with you. You served your customers well for 20 years & it shows. The food alone is well worth the stop. Check it out!! The cashier surprised us when he appeared, asking if we needed help finding anything. He made our eyes even wider when he bantered with us in a friendly-flirtatious-but-in-a-nice-and-totally-uncreepifying way, and won us over when he complimented my nostril piercing, then discussed the current violence in India and his interest in domestic and foreign policy. Since I was returning a purchase at Costco, I thought that I should refuel the rental car - especially since we will be driving more than usual this coming weekend. Finding the line to the pumps wasn't too challenging. I just waited for my turn because - hey, what else can be done? All customers played by the rules and we all got the best price for gasoline!
