It's actually the law that if you purchase gas you have to provide free air and water to your patrons. Most Arco's however, do not accept credit cards which to me poses zero problem as I do not use credit cards to pay for gas. They do accept debit cards and cash. Might be the cheapest around but be careful especially when paying with cash! The owner was not the nicest and scammed me saying my $20 bill was counterfeit. There was no way this was true! And who checks twenties. His "machine" is old you couldn't even read it and who knows when it was ever calibrated or if it's even legit. Arcos always seem to have the cheapest gas prices around. Makes you wonder if they are serving quality gasoline but all the times I've filled up my tank, I've really not experience any problems. I suppose if you did research, you could find how they are not as superior as other gas stations in terms of quality but I'm just not going to get all that anal about it. This location is conveniently located off the 101 Freeway taking the Gower exit. As most Arco stations, they don't accept credit cards and charge a $0.35 fee if you use an ATM card. If you pay with cash, there's no charge however. Their "convenience store" is very tiny and is just really the pay area with a bunch of items packed in the small space. I don't think they even sell coffee here. The best thing is are cheap gas prices which is the most important thing. read more

Ive been getting gas here for years, and I usually always pay with cash. This tends to have cheaper gas that most other stations in the vicinity. And beware, sometimes it can get crowded as it is near a rather busy intersection. A good thing is that the pumps are never ever out of order, like they tend to be at many other stations. read more

Plus points for being among the lowest-priced around but take heed: everything else about this establishment is simply off. Not to get into any detail but let's just say the Asian guy in the service area is not to be trusted: he does not always conduct business on the up-and-up. This is not a joke: of the three service run-ins with him, two were a-okay but one incident was a seriously shady one. I'm not making this up. I wouldn't entirely trust this guy if I were you. Advice: if you still feel the need to go because of the good gas prices, be sure not to go there between around 2 and 7 weekdays... it is SLAMMED and not pleasant to wait and/or maneuver your car. If you have a big truck and need gas during that time-frame, forget about it! It also seems to attract a LOT of self-important, rude people getting gas (not stations' fault). I once had an unavoidable altercation that almost escalated into a near fistfight there because it was so busy. Not the happiest people behind the service counter, either. Unhappy and indifferent. The pricing is one of the cheapest in this area. Heads up: no credit cards accepted and $0.35 fee for debit. The price is definitely its only redeeming quality. Every time I try to use my Debit card outside, I'm told to see cashier. The dozen or so times I've gone in to talk with the cashier, the cashier has been hostile and short. The most recent experience, I asked him to charge my debit card for a full tank. He put $75 on my card and swiped it. I asked to make sure they would only charge what I use, and he said "go, it's full." We had this conversation three times over and I don't believe he spoke English well enough to understand my question. He started shouting "Just go!" at which point I left. I don't think their pumps are calibrated correctly. I pumped 0.67 gallons passed my fuel tank capacity. Anyone else have this problem where the gallons pumped is off? And they charge 35 cents if paid by debit card (they don't even accept credit cards). Not as cheap as advertised. read more

I've been a regular here for quite a while. Very convenient and nearby my house. I usually use the the ATM to pay for has. However, today was the exception. I went inside to pay in cash and handed the clerk a $50 Bill along with some singles. I obviously don't want to be carrying all singles in my pocket. The clerk " Alberto", handed me back my singles and have me $25 back! Which is fine. I might have not made myself clear about the change I expected back. So I retorted. Alberto then tells me "No!". I am in a wheelchair and I went here once and I got out and he said oh that pump is Out of order but there was no sign so I went all the way back and had to move the car and then got out again to pump the gas and he refused to help me. Idk why I went back but I did a little after that. Got out of my van with ramp; pumped gas after spending like 60 bucks. Looked at my phone for like 15 seconds when there was no one else there. And he angrily tapped on the window and told me to move. He didn't help me one iota like you'd think since I'm a customer and need help sometimes, and they are legally required during the day but it was middle of night; fine.
