I saw a lady outside and unfortunately she was homeless :( me and my mom went up to her and offered to buy her some snacks, food, & a drink and as we were paying he started to look at me, my mom, and the nice lady with disgusted. As he continued our transaction he kept side eyeing the lady and she notice so she kindly said she'll wait outside and he said "Yeah go outside and i don't wanna see you on the property again fucking asshole" I had to call him out at tell him she's not bothering anyone WE offered to get her food and a drink there's no need to be rude. He was soo rude he made her cry. I think people tend to forget that we all human at the end of the day and we're all trying our best out here. Do not use the car wash at this place !!! Not only was the soap still on the car. The car wasn't dry properly and then I checked the hood and it's completely scratched up from whatever they use to clean the cars. I can see the scratch marks from inside the car looking out through the windshield this place needs to seriously be held accountable. The car wash looked kind of cheap when I went in there. I just left there and had a horrible experience! they are not only RUDE they're obviously racist! I stopped to use a vacuum which was two dollars for two minutes so I used it twice and then I put an additional two dollars in and it didn't work so I went inside and both of the people that work there were irritated and told me there was nothing they can do to finally man walked out and after going back-and-forth he put another dollar in and it worked ..then he screamed at me and said I owed him a dollar and rudely stormed off! The large Hispanic woman working in the inside was nice to the white customers because I watched how she spoke to them. When I asked for the number to management or the corporate office she told me the man would give it to me! He didn't have it so then she gave me the store number with the name of Peter and told me he wouldn't be back in until Monday so then I asked for the corporate number and she told me I could just get it off the door! Very very rude. All this over a vacuum not working it makes no sense! Then when I was taking the picture I Heard his conversation and he was on the phone with the manager! I've been coming to this Arco since I learned how to drive and the staff has always been amazing. The property is well kept and you hardly ever see any transients. The only reason it doesn't have 5 stars is because the carwash dryer sucks. It doesn't dry the car and leave water stains on the window. If they are able to add more time to the dryer it would be much better. read more

Be careful. The charged me the debit price of 6.39 instead of cash price of 6.25. I went back in to tell them they charge the wrong amount. Took forever for them to do basic math. I said look the difference between the prices is 14 cents. Just multiple that with how much I pumped. That's how much you owe me. I know it was only 65 cents but it's the principle. If they do that with each cash paying customer, imagine how much money that would be making! read more

So I live across the street, convenient right? Easy to get snacks, scratchers and cheaper gas. Well the problem is that there is something fishy about how they do business. Charging my debit card for some transaction I never made a couple of minutes after making an actual purchase. Not giving me my cash back twice, had to actually remind the same guy both times. Buying scratchers is definitely not recommended, tickets out of sequence and tickets with some of the scratch part removed. Talking to the owner ended up in an argument, they have a car wash here too. Skip it, god forbid something goes wrong, good luck rectifying it! read more

This review is for the car wash. I got there with 4 cars in line in front of me, which seemed pretty normal, until ten minutes later, none of us had moved. I was just about to give up and drive off, but then the first car in the queue went in. However, the line moved soooo slowly. It was at least 25 minutes of waiting in line. I read the online reviews and that's how I found out it was cash only (I didn't see any physical signage to that effect). I happened to have a $20 on me, which is rare. But when it was my turn to pay, the pay station said it only took $1s, $5s, and $10s! I panicked. Three cars were behind me and we had all waited forever at this point- I didn't want to hold us up any longer. I got out of my car, quickly asked the other drivers for change (they didn't), so I ran inside to get smaller bills. The person behind the counter asked me what service I wanted & paid for it there. Great! Ran back to my car and of course still had plenty of time. After the car in front of me was done, I pulled up and the "go" sign never flashed for me to enter the cleaning area. It took a minute for me to think I should check the receipt. The person never told me there was a code I had to enter on the pad! I thought I was good to go. So once again, I got out of my car, leaned over the car behind me, entered the code, and the "go" sign let me in. The reason it takes so long is that it is just ONE little cleaning area. Your wheels don't even go on a mover. You pull up and the cleaning mechanism moves back and forth over your car. It finally finished. Overall- at LEAST half an hour for a car wash. The wash- so, it got the dust and dirt off. My car really needed a wash. But it wasn't exactly a thorough clean (I got the "works," too). And I saw a prior review about water spots and thought that won't bother me, if it's true. Well, my car now has water spots and it does bother me, lol. It was like exchanging the dirt for the spots. I'm going to have to go somewhere else to get my car actually clean. So yeah, if there's no line and you just need to get the dirt off & don't mind water spots, go for it. Otherwise, save your sanity and go somewhere else. read more

Our neighborhood gas station. Convenient and quick. However, this last time we were heading out of town at 2am and we noticed the new guy walking around outside smoking a cigarette and allowing customers to come in and out. As long as we've lived in the Culver City area we've always known this gas station to chain the doors shut after 11pm. We won't be surprised if he's held up anytime soon. Really, really busy in the mornings because of its location, but there are a lot of pumps and they seem to move quickly. If you use a debit, there's a .35 charge. A much better selection inside the convenience store than the surrounding 7/11 or Mobile - sometimes I stop for the coffee because it's pretty cheap and really delicious (my secret vice is gas station coffee). I used to get my propane here. When I returned my tank they refused to refund my $25 deposit. They told me the manager was out at the time and employees are not authorized to refund deposits, I left the tank and they took my name and phone number. After not hearing back from them, I called back and they told me that they threw the tank away because they thought it was unsafe. BEWARE if you're leaving a deposit for a propane tank. I go to this Arco quite a bit when I'm in Culver City as I drive on Washington Blvd on my drive home. I was a bit hungry driving back from Miller Honda and stopped by for a quick snack. There is something about the AM/PM Burgers they have I really like. Got me a Small Burger, and drink. Didn't have a problem with the guy behind the counter (the older gentleman out of the other employees as I don't know his name) and I have never had a problem with anyone here in the time that I have been coming to this gas station. read more

Do NOT get a car wash here....just wasted $10, it barely dries the car, and I'm going to have to go get it washed again

I had the worst experience here. All I wanted was a car wash so I get to the car wash entrance and realize it is cash only. I go inside the store to the atm and it gives me only half the money I withdrew and a receipt for the full amount. I tell the clerk and he tells me that has been happening but since it a third-party business, there's nothing he can do. They have a faulty atm in their eatablishment and don't even bother to put a sign or something. I then go to the car wash entrance once again and the machine is not working and they tell me "oh yeah, the machine sometimes doesn't take the cash, you can pay inside and they'll give you a code". I am finally inside the car wash and when the dryers start I pull forward and an alarm goes off with a huge lighted sign telling me to back up. I back up but the dryers are still on, so I try again and the alarm goes off again. So I stay there waiting until a man comes out of nowhere yelling at me telling me to move. I am very confused at this point so I pull forward and stop at the dryers. This man comes again and yells at me telling me to get out of the way. I explain to him what happened and told him my car is still dripping and he tells me "well that's your fault". I am shocked at his response and I say "excuse me? your machine is not working properly, an alarm is telling me to back up when it's not supposed to" to which he replies "no, no, the machine is working properly and you are wasting my time, move!" It had been a long day and honestly I just didn't have the energy to fight back. I had been there for too long and I just wanted to get out of there. All I wanted was a clean car and I ended up on a 15 minute call to my bank to dispute the atm situation, a guy yelling at me and a dirty car. They have the worst customer service, incompetent workers and just plain rude. I don't care if you are a cashier or the owner, if you think it is ok to tell a customer "move, you are wasting my time" you should not be in this business. I am never coming back, and it's not even the faulty car wash or the atm that stole my money, it's the fact that a man who works there yelled straight to my face telling me to get out his way. I just went to this arco to fill up and get a car wash. I wasn't sure which car wash option to choose, so I went for the middle one which was eight dollars. I did not realize that this carwash option did not include an intense brushing or scrubbing of the car. After the car wash was complete I went into the cashier to talk about it and he refused me the option to run through the car wash again with the scrub option. He was rude and dismissive. 9:30 AM October 2, 2014 went to get coffee and my favorite hazelnut cream was not available either the dispensing-cream machine based or cream cups in a basket. much of it was vanilla flavor and other flavors but not hazelnut cream. I was able to find enough to fill half 16OZ cup. went on to pay and also to complain. The attendant named Ovik suggested it was my fault because I did not ask him to go fill up the cream dispensary and basket. Really!..This is self service, you assume if creamery is not there is because is out. Secondly, I don't have time to go on lines and wait until cream is put up?..9:00 AM in the morning?..BTW, this is my third time having bad experience at this Gas station.
