For me it was a real head scratcher. Rick and Tony came out the next day and arrived ontime at 830 am. Within an hour they diagnosed and fixed the problem which was faulty wiring of the GFI. I told them they did not have to but they insisted on repeatedly putting on booties when coming into the house. They have a $200 fee for coming out that covers repairs if they do not need to install expensive equipment. I think that is very reasonable in today's world. Rick, who lead the team, strikes me as being honest as the day is long. It is so good to find intelligent, honest, and competitant craftsmen to fix stuff when it needs. Jim's Electric is now my go-to place for electrical repair, inspection and installation.

I called ITech and spoke to Tony. His calm demeanor and reassurance on the phone was comforting. Tony plus two others arrived around 4PM and by 7PM everything was replaced and back to normal. The entire time there, Tony kept me informed every step of the way as well as making minor corrections to my circuit panel. I really appreciated how professional and clean all three of them were . The actual electrical work looks clean and professional. The new wiring follows our existing electric wiring, so it looks like it was all installed at the same time! Would definitely recommend and will use again if ever needed.

For these jobs, they came as a team of 6-8 people and usually got the job done within one day. Their solutions are not only of excellent quality, they also make it look good. Whatever work they have completed in our house has never given us any issues afterwards. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

My partner purchased her home several years ago and I noticed some wires were exposed in the garage…read moreand basement that 'didn't look right'. I called an electrical inspector who came out and did a complete inspection of the home. He found several electrical wires that were high voltage and not installed properly violating code. In addition, he made several recommendations regarding other issues in the home. We asked if there was an electrical contractor he could recommend that could do the required work in addition to several other small items we wanted to address (lights not working-fans that were working sporadically-broken doorbell-exterior outlet that needed removal). He recommended Powell's Electric - he said he knew the family that owned the company for decades and they were excellent. I contacted Powell's and they sent two technicians to our home - it was very easy scheduling an appointment, and they came right on time. They spent over 3 hours repairing the faulty installation of the high voltage wires, removing excessive, exposed wiring that was no longer connected to anything. They repaired the doorbell, outside lighting, removed the electrical outlet in the front yard that was for sidewalk lights that were no longer there. They completed all of the work efficiently and diligently. We felt very confident they knew exactly how to approach each issue. We are so grateful to have the electrical wiring in the home up to code and all the repairs completed! Powell's was a great recommendation, and we will use them if we ever have any future electrical issues!

The second time, I had most of the electrical in my two bathrooms updated, new LED ceiling fans, LED lighting over the shower in one bath and the tub in another, and the bathroom switching reworked. Also great job. The most recent time I had Brian replace all the Occupancy switches in my place because I was unhappy with the old ones I had chosen.
