My one hundredth review, brought to you by a two-time Lady Rockstar…read more First of all, ignore the shitty one-star review from the user who clearly doesn't get PML's mission, and hear out the point of view from someone who has done more than just one class at this organization and absolutely enjoyed her experiences here. I have done two Lady Rockstars classes, a women's weekend retreat and one of their many Girl Jams, all in the span of four and a half months! In doing so, I learned so much more than the music. These music classes don't just focus on the music, although learning the music is pivotal and the instructors here do a kickass job of teaching that (also they have Plugged In online classes that are totally affordable, if that's something you'd like to take advantage of). But another part of it is becoming empowered and learning to empower your other classmates. Also you build relationships with your classmates within the four weeks of your Lady Rockstars class, and you walk away having made friendships with some cool chicas. As a vocalist and performer, I've had experiences that were stressful, uncomfortable and super tense, even turbulent and volatile at times, and could not even enjoy the rehearsal process, as such awful atmospheres made it feel like work. Believe me when I say that PML offers a unique experience (and for some a therapeutic one), vastly different from anything else you've done. (No cattiness or bitchiness allowed here, either!) And for that, I am grateful and will thank Krystle a million times over. But don't take my word for it. Go down to PML, and check it out for yourself. Rock on!

Her sense of humor and realness help when you're feeling frustrated or struggling with a song. I also love that she is promoting growth mindset without downplaying the importance of sticking with it until you get it right. I would love to do Lady Rockstars but live too far away. Maybe someday!

They purchased directly from Kawaii and resold to me immediately so it's not "officially" or technically Brand new...but it is :D it sounds beautiful. And the process was seamless. Birdsnest is actually located right upstairs from the Needlecraft Center on Main Street in Davidson. It seems weird, but you walk into the house and head upstairs to the second floor. The Birdsnest consists of a retail shop and a place to get some music lessons. There is a little room that is cluttered with tons of vinyl records, which is what drew us here in the first place. The prices were pretty good and the quality of the records was great. They also have a small selection of CDs and other music formats, but it's mainly about the records. There are other rooms upstairs that are dedicated to music lessons, both instrumental and vocal. Birdsnest is a pretty cool addition to downtown Davidson and worth checking out if you want some vinyl or want some professional assistance in becoming a rock god.

I've also decided to refresh my own rusty skills by taking voice lessons! The Learn Music teachers are not only very talented in their respective instruments, but kind and supportive as well. You can do any type of music, from classical to pop/rock or jazz. And their recitals aren't your standard strait-laced affairs - they are much more relaxed and friendly, even for beginners. Their kid rock bands are also pretty amazing! The owners, Adam and Rachel, make it as easy as possible for your kiddos to succeed - and they are both super nice. If you are looking for a music school for your kid or for yourself, look no further!

About three minutes later the gentleman came over and asked how can he be of assistance? I said we came in to assist my spouse im not sure what he was interested in at the moment. My spouse had a phone call and was at the moment (work related) so I says to the sales associate as soon as he finishes his call then you can further assist us. He then says a slick comment asking "oh he came in browsing on the phone?" I was taken back for a second but ignored it because I didn't see a sign that we could not use a phone at all!! So I politely say to this gentleman again he will be finished in a minute and he's the player not me so I'm not sure what he would like. What made me immediately leave this establishment and to NEVER Return is because his next statement was unnecessary and rude! He says "well don't just walk in here and not speak to me and I not tell me what I can help you with?" So then by that time my spouse is off his work call and the gentleman then tries to act nice again... no sir. We politely left because of him being very rude and unprofessional. If you need your customers to walk all the way over to your desk to get your service may I suggest having a desk by the door and greeting them as they are walking in and make them feel welcome! I was willing and ready to purchase what my spouse desires if this location had it however simply because of this sales associate's poor customer service and improper etiquette that was a hard pass for me now and ever! I've never felt more uncomfortable because of his behavior! Very unsettling and not the right person ever have to help make a sale just being honest!
