I went in today to purchase a new digital keyboard. I was helped by a gentleman named Jon St Pierre…read more(I think that's how you spell his name). He was very kind and very helpful. The specific keyboard I wanted was not in stock, but he ordered it for me to be delivered to my house. It's been quite some time since I've made a purchase at guitar center and the last time I was there buying a midi controller the lady helping me seemed pretty unmotivated and didn't seem to know anything about what I was looking to purchase. I'm really glad to say Jon St Pierre was very knowledgeable, very fast to help us and provide us with good customer service, and he had a great attitude. In my opinion he is a shining example of what customer service should be especially when spending hundreds of dollars on an instrument you hope will last for a long time.

I've been in twice in the last month hoping to buy an electric drum set. The first time none of the…read morekits on the floor were playable. (No power supply, rack folded in an unusable manner, etc..) When I asked about it, the sales associate said "yeah we usually don't bother keeping the low-end kits set up." I was looking at either an Alesis Strata Prime or Roland TD516. Both are about $3500. He told me to come back another day and they should be working. I went back today (ready to buy) and the Alesis is still missing the power supply. The same sales rep said, "yeah they keep disappearing." No offer to look for one or any sort of real assistance. Overall pretty disappointing.

I've been playing since the early 1990s, 2/3 of my life now. I've owned probably 75 guitars,…read moreranging from the entry level $300 Epiphones, to $5-6000 Custom Shop Gibsons. I've had PRS, Fender, ESP, Washburn, Martin, Ovation, Schecter, and more... I purchased my 1st McNaught guitar about 2 years ago now, used, having never seen one except in photos, much less played one. The fit, finish, and build quality is like nothing I've ever seen prior. The tuning stability is superior, and though I live in the midwest, known for the bi-polar weather, this has yet to need a single setup or adjustment. The only thing I have done is put strings on it, aside from playing the hell out of it. That particular guitar is 14 years old now, and still looks new. Now to the sound.... being a guy who always favored that Les Paul snarl, this things not only does that, but roars, as well as purring with just a twist of the volume knob. I obtained my 2nd Mcnaught a couple weeks ago and I can say the quality hasn't diminished, nor the tones and playability, prompting me to get the custom build ordered tonight. Yes, I know Daves work is pricey... and it may not that famous name, but if you are buying that once in a lifetime axe, chuck the Historic Les Pauls on the kindling pile, as anymore, you're only paying for the name and an ever increasing price tag with less quality than ever before. This guy can make your instrument dreams come true in a comparable or often lower tag compared to the recent Gibson hikes. I've been very impressed, and the process of getting the build going has been easy too. I went through Tom Jensen on his dealers page and it took about 2 weeks with a lot of back and forth to get everything squared away, but it's been a great experience! Let me also state, I have ZERO affiliation with McNaught guitars, I've just learned that the price tag isn't always synonymous with quality and I lucked into discovering these smoking instruments. Do yourself a favor and check it out!
