Chemical Burns, Hair Falling Out, and a $500 Bill -- You've Been Warned! If I could give it zero…read morereviews I would !!
I have no idea how this place has so many five-star reviews. I went in for a routine blonde root retouch and left with chemical burns, stretchy hair falling out in clumps, traumatized. And yes, they still charged me $500.
From the moment I walked in, the vibe was off. The receptionist looked annoyed that I was even there, and the rest of the staff gave me cold, judgmental stares. No hello, no warmth, just a hostile energy that made me want to leave before I even sat down.
Ty, the stylist, claimed to have 20 years of experience, but what I saw I do not think he should keep his license . He didn't section my hair properly, didn't wear gloves, skipped any heat protectant or bond repair, and worked at a painfully slow pace.
He used six bowls of bleach , way too much for a root touch-up , just to bump up the charge. He also used a high-volume developer and left it on for an hour without checking the foils once. So once he was done with all my hair and made me wait an extra 20 mins, he wanted to check the first section my hair which had turned white mozzarella texture and stretchy like gum, it was snapping off. The hair at the nape of my neck literally melted off. He started frantically wiping bleach off with a towel while my hair fell all over the floor. I was frozen in shock and complete disbelief as this has never happened to me before and felt the room spinning.
To make it worse, he tried to "fix" the hot roots he caused by slapping a dark dye over the damaged areas. My hair turned from blonde and luscious long to gray, dry, and destroyed. I lost about a quarter of it , and what's left is fried with split ends reaching the roots.
Somewhere in between, he also sprayed something from a bottle with a dog on the label. No explanation. I still don't know what it was. The blowout was the final insult. He yanked through my damaged hair with a giant round brush, no products, no care. It wasn't just uncomfortable , it was actual torture!
Meanwhile, the other stylists stood by, watching, smirking, and saying nothing.
If you value your hair or your sanity, stay far away. This wasn't a salon appointment. It was a $500 disaster I'm still recovering from.
