My insurance companies adjuster said they couldn't even legally pay the codes this company was using to overcharge customers. they immediately put a lean on my home when I paid them the amount the insurance paid me plus my deductible. I wished I had read the reviews for this company before we hired them. We had a flood in the upstairs bathroom and needed help quickly. They showed up in a timely manner. And then it all went downhill from there. Day one of dry wall work (two months after the flooding happened), THEY NAILED SHUT OUR CAT INSIDE THE WALLS!!! Even now they're blaming that horrible situation on us. The kitty was in the wall for ten hours until our 12yo daughter heard him in the walls. Our kids were traumatized by this level of animal cruelty. He could have died in there. The water damage happened May 5, 2022. It's now October, we're still dealing with them, trying to get them to fix the shoddy job they did on the dry wall and paint. They also lost the pins to one of the doors. Five months later, we still can't get them to replace those and install the door that's been sitting in our son's bedroom this whole time. They left all their trash in our garage and the one damaged bathroom. It took several escalations, text messages, photos, and calls to get them to remove their own trash. They also didn't do all the painting they said they would do. The baseboards look dirty and damage. But still they're saying they did the job. Don't use this company. DON'T CALL ARCHER My elderly friends had a plumbing accident that flooded their small finished carpeted basement. At around 10am, they called Archer Restoration to come vacuum the water out, and Archer said they would come by around 1pm, and they thenproceeded to collect a lot of personal data from my friends (phone numbers, email addresses, home insurance information, etc.) Archer also warned that they would require a $1,000 "deposit." This seemed unreasonable to me, so while we waited for them to show up, I started sucking up the water with a shop vac. When they arrived, they immediately began "measuring" moisture with a device and started talking about "percentages" and technobabble, throwing around scary predictions of mold and mildew. Archer told this elderly couple that wallboard and baseboards would have to be removed and replaced, and warned that if asbestos was found, a special team would be brought in to remove it. (If asbestos is officially found in your house, you will have a difficult time selling it, and it will be severely devalued when you list it.) Archer warned that this "complete remediation" would take several days and cost thousands of dollars, but that they would "work with" my friends' insurance company and would "help them" with the deductible. After listening to this performance for an hour, my elderly friends were bewildered. Archer said that they would vacuum out the water that day, after my friends signed the contract for the extra remediation work and the insurance claim. My friends declined the offer, so Archer said fine, but my friends owed them $250 for the visit. Since my friends were paying with a credit card, there would be an extra fee of $7, so Archer got paid $257 for doing nothing but a one-hour scamming performance. They did not vacuum, they did nothing to help my friends, but still stuck them for $257. We wound up using a shop vac to clean up the basement, and ran dehumidifiers to get the last moisture out. My friends paid $257 for an education: Scammers 101. Update: I feel very privileged that if all the many one-star reviews Archer has been given, mine was the only one that received a reply! They were so upset by my review, that the very next day they called my friends' son to complain and ask him to get me to delete it. They admitted to him that nothing that I wrote was untrue, but said that I didn't "understand" their responsibility. I understand that they saw an elderly couple in an old house that needed some upgrades, and they wanted to get paid for doing them. Anyway, we vacuumed up the water ourselves, and the dehumidifiers dried everything out, and the basement is fine now. Thanks for nothing, Archer. We didn't need to pay you $257 to tell us the house is old and needs repair. read more

We had a pipe break in our home that flooded our finished basement. Archer was recommended to us, so, do to the urgency of the problem, we called them. They were quickly there, and took several days to fully get the wet carpet out and get out other wet items. However, they did get the job done with removing all wet items and drying out the basement. They submitted their costs to State Farm on our behalf. State Farm did not approve of about $4,000 of their costs. We paid Archer the amount that State Farm approved and started working on seeing if we could get the remainder approved. In the mean time, Archer told us that we would have to pay the additional $4,000 that State Farm had not approved. While we were trying to work with State Farm, Archer decided to issue a lien against our property. We have sent Archer the $4,000 (in the mail) and are still trying to work with State Farm, but State Farm has said that the additional $4,000 of work was not necessary. So, caution working with Archer. Honestly, Samson (via ServePro) is doing the restoration work, and State Farm has had no problems with their estimates. read more

We had a pipe break and flood our basement. A friend of ours recommended us to call Archer. It was the right decision. We called them about 9:00 pm at night when we discovered the water. They said they could be at our house within a few hours if we'd like. The crew came to our house for several days to mitigate the damage. The crew was very prompt each day and gave us a courtesy call each day to confirm the arrival time. They were also very polite and professional. BEWARE I received a call from the owner and after telling him that all invoices were paid and send in the mail to their office. He was so nasty and rude accusing me of trying to extort money from him and his company. The funny thing is that that company tried to up charge of item as the process went forward. They want an extra 600.00 to replace my personal items and furniture as well as attempting to over charge for a miss quote of repair related item. Thus was their attempt of extortion. He then advised me that the sheriffs department would be in contact with me, as well as he was contacting his attorney to file actions. All priceless threats. I don't believe that any of this is true as I never heard from anybody else. He accused me not only of extortion or being a troubled mean and nasty person. I went with this company after my basement was flooded off a recommendation from my trusted plumber. They started off great and responsive but they soon ghosted me with all of my concerns. Paid them close to $40,000 and they ruined two rugs that they "cleaned" and haven't fixed a shotty job with the pendant lighting over my bar (One pendant hanging 6 inches below the others), and left a pile of trash under my deck. They haven't returned my repeated requests to remedy these issues. Dale Cardwell endorses this company which initially gave some comfort only to come to the realization that he apparently will endorse any company that pays him money. What an unprofessional way to run your business. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy for anything. Run as fast as you can away from this company! The quality of work performed was extremely poor and the customer service was ridiculously bad. In the summer of 2017 we had a leak in our master shower that went through the ceiling of the kitchen located below the bathroom. We contacted Archer Restoration Services and they promptly sent out a remediation crew. The remediation work was thorough and the remediation department was easy to work with and they promptly worked out payment with our insurance company. Due to the fact that the remediation service was so on-point, we decided to use Archer for the reconstruction portion of the job which included an entire rebuild of the master bath. The problems started on day one of the $15,000 reconstruction. The crew that Archer sent to remove the existing tile from the bathroom did not hang any plastic or close the bathroom door. This resulted in a thick coat of dust on EVERYTHING in our home. All of the clothes in the master closet, our bedding, draperies, furniture, carpet, etc. were covered. The project went on for months. No one cleaned anything along way. No one took their shoes off when entering my home. The "project manager" was inattentive and dismissive of our concerns. Subcontractors regularly showed up at our home with no direction as to what they were to do. Subcontractors regularly showed up at our home without anyone telling/asking us that they would be coming. I called at 9:00am to get an estimate on drywall repair. They took my information and said someone will call to set up a date and time to do the repair. I didn't get a call back. I waited until 2pm and called them again and explained I haven't heard from them. Again I was told that someone will call me back shortly. It's now 6pm and still no call back. If this is the type of service they provide then I would recommend you get another company to do your repair. They deserve zero stars. read more

I discovered Archer Restoration through their affiliation with TrustDale. My insurance company sent their contracted company to determine if there was a leak. Archer (Corey) came subsequently to the previous company and found evidence of moisture in the floors and even asbestos in at least two layers of the floor. Once Archer was hired for the job, Payne did a magnificent job with the demolition. As a result, when Shaun, the estimator, drew up the scope of work, the insurance company accepted it. Over a period of eight days we had three different 'departments' visit our home. All took measurements and images and video. (Note: the departments do not share information) After this period I was provided the asbestos test results and some hours later an estimate was provided to remove the mold and an estimate was provided to remove the 'asbestos containing material'. I still did not have an estimate for returning our spaces back to usefulness. No estimate was provided for removing both issues concurrently. (We live in the south, EVERY crawl space has mold and why should we pay over $8,000 in an effort to remove growth that will promptly return? ) Our HWH had leaked and we had no hot water for eight days. These estimates required many more days or 'remediation' before ANY new material could be placed and a new HWH could be installed. In addition to no floor surfaces, my aging father and walker would have no access to 'his' accessible bathroom. Everyone had been told, everyone had ignored and made zero effort to accommodate. A waste of eight days of inaction. I had seen 'real' restoration companies launch into remediation with trucks of fans; four hours in had already removed soaked Sheetrock, I know what is possible and it is not named Archer. BTW their estimates were detailed and included everything required for a massive commercial project but this is a home, different rules and requirements apply. Run from this company! Drywall removal was poorly done and dusty. The paint job was a poor color match. They are super slow it took 4 weeks to complete a 3 day job. They left my home dusty, with an awful paint job. There was paint on the doors and molding that should have been on the walls. read more

There were so many people in and out of the house, it would be impossible to name all of them, but they were all polite, professional, and compassionate.
