To find that the store supports local businesses was a bonus, always try to shop local and support when I can. The issue was the 3 employees behind the counter making snide remarks about people shopping in the store and criticizing our purchases. Sorry but I don't think what I purchased was ugly. I can definitely find other places to support locally. As a business owner myself it was a bummer to not feel welcome and appreciated for spending money in the store, but glad we still purchased our items, because we think they are great.

Also they had a couple people there in person doing the business ( one did jewelry and I forgot what the other one was). The staff at the register were friendly as well. My friend wanted to go antiquing and while I've never have seriously gone before (true browsing)…read morewith a friend, I was intrigued. Whew, who knew antiquing can be so expensive?!? Most of this stuff is way overpriced. Maybe I just don't understand and I'm definitely not the target audience if I audibly say "I can get this for $5 elsewhere," but so much of the things sold here are not collectibles. Another man's trash is another man's treasure. There's a TON of stuff here. I mean, a ton! It's overwhelming and I definitely walked past a lot of it. After finding a few pieces that I personally collect and seeing the prices, I couldn't honestly stomach walking around the shop anymore. It was a huge let down and I no longer had interest in browsing. I bought some stickers to at least give them some pay for our time spent in their air conditioned shop. The staff were nice and asked if we needed any help. We weren't watched the entire time which was nice because I hate being watched when I shop. If you love antiquing and you're aware of how expensive this hobby is, then by all means, SuzAnnna's is great! I just couldn't stomach $60 for a piece of uranium glassware when I can get the same thing on eBay for less than $10. Side note, there are items that are comparable to what you can find online, but prices are all over the place here and if you're like me who seriously collects certain things, you'll see that many of the pieces sold here are overly priced.

Clean, good music, incredibly sweet and friendly staff. After offering to let me set down my first few choices so that I could continue to browse hands free, they then came through the store to find me when they noticed one of my items seemed to be missing (False alarm; I had just changed my mind and swapped it out with a different item.) My heart and soul would love to return soon, but my brain and wallet are scolding me to pace myself.

Shonell's carries party plates, napkins, tissues, frames, dog- and cat-themed soap dishes, napkins, greeting cards, & humorous titled shopping list notepads. The owner also mentioned she was starting to carry shoes as well -- summer shoes -- cute and comfortable. In the back corner of the store were the jewelry and lotions and handcrafted soaps from Moondance, a Raleigh company. The minute I walked in the door, the owner came up to greet me, carrying the most adorable little dog, both welcoming me to the store. I was also told there were birthday cupcakes for the dog's birthday. How could you not like a store like that? For the short period I was in the store, the owner answered my questions, directed me to certain items, offered to make a deal on some candles and jewelry, and then very nicely wrapped the items I had designated as gifts. As I turned to leave, she reminded me of the birthday cupcakes as her dog slept in the cute little bed near the cash register. If you're looking for a unique gift for a reasonable price, and like being waited on by friendly, helpful people, this is the place.

While the sales people at the store are very friendly and the furniture they sell is high quality, we had a terrible experience with the people that deliver and put together the furniture. When the crib was initially delivered to our home, it was too large to fit through our small doorway to our nursery so they brought it into the nursery in pieces and built it there. Unfortunately, when we were moving out of our home a few months later, we realized they had used power tools to put the crib together and stripped the screws so badly that we were unable to take the crib apart to bring it back out. When I called the store, all they did was say they would order new screws for us. I was on my own to take out the screws they had stripped and take apart the furniture. It was a nightmare but luckily I was able to do it. I really wanted to love this place and had a great experience initially but the delivery and installation was horrible and they did little to resolve the problem. If you shop here and buy furniture, just be sure to check the screws before they leave so you're not stuck in the same situation I was!
