As a novice gardener, I expect that buying local "perennials" means that these plants will in fact act as perennials in this zone. I now have to completely replan the entire perennial garden (as these were my anchor summer blooms). I don't think they intentionally mislead me, rather I don't think they were knowledgeable. As a novice, I'll be sticking with Martin's (which is overpriced, but part of what one pays for is the well educated botanist advice, the high quality plants, and the correct representation of local perennials).

I did that and the test arrangements weren't exactly what I was expecting, so I explained my concerns and she adjusted the flowers both times - for the wedding and the anniversary party. Revised test arrangements were perfect. Prices are absolutely unbeatable... Her flowers are gorgeous, huge, fresh and last SO long. I seriously don't know how she defies the laws of biology... He was delivering shrubs to my neighbor and I asked if they ever haul away branches for a fee. He agreed to help me out and was so positive to deal with even though it was a large amount of stuff for him to haul. I asked about the business and he said he and his brother are excited to continue the business with their dad who has been around for 32 years. I couldn't believe how nice and willing he was to help me! I'm looking forward to visiting their nursery to get plants for my new yard. If this is the level of customer care to be expected, this business has a bright future!
