He does not understand customer service. I am actually shocked he is still in business. I took a LV purse to him because the strap was broken. He assured me he would fix it and that I should return for it in 2 days. When I returned, he had a printed sign on his door that said "I will be right back". A week passed by and he still had not returned. I called multiple times and left multiple voicemail and never heard back from him. When I returned to retrieve my purse, I was disappointed to see the quality of work he did. I pointed out the flaws in his work and after muttering to himself and raising his voice at me, he attempted to fix the work. I kindly asked for a discount because his work did not merit the full price. Instead, he berated me in front of my six year old daughter and said he would call the cops on me if I didn't pay the full price. I hope to never see this man again and hope you take your belongings to another establishment worthy of your money. Had he shown compassion or valued me as a customer, I would not be writing this now.

Marsden's Pedorthics - Whittier's Foot Care & Comfort Shoes Center is a fantastic store for all…read moreyour preventative foot care needs. I have plantar faciaiitis and my doctor referred me here. I am so grateful that he did. Maria, Marsden's store associate, she gave excellent service and went above and beyond to make sure I was well taken care of. I purchased a pair of shoes and sandals. Maria first looked over the doctor's notes and recommendations, then she measured my feet and then she showed me the different types of shoes, brands and styles available for me to choose from. At the time I was still dealing with the plantar faciaiitis flare up pain in the heel of my right foot and Maria handled my shoe fitting with extra care. She was very knowledgeable of the different types of shoes, inserts and inventory. She kindly explained to me the shoe structures, sizing, inserts and other preventative care suggestions. As soon as I tried on the correct shoes and scandals, I instantly felt a huge difference in my feet - the pain almost became non-existent!!! I am so pleased and grateful for Maria, her care and expertise at Marsden's Pedorthics. I highly recommend this store for the shoes that will best take care of your feet.

Sadly the strap on the right finally gave, so I had to stop using the backpack altogether. Due to the leather being thick and the riveting work that it needed, I knew I couldn't fix it myself; enter Shoe Express. The owner was really nice and charged me a fair price ($30) to reinforce the rivets, resew the area, and fortify both straps. It's so sturdy now and I'm overjoyed with the handy work. Thank you again Shoe Express!

I came in as a potential paying customer looking for assistance with my shoes, but after the way I was treated, I decided I would rather take my business to a more professional and courteous establishment. Afterward, I noticed other reviews describing similar experiences with rude and defensive customer service, which unfortunately was consistent with my own experience. A neighborhood business should make customers feel welcome and appreciated--not uncomfortable for simply walking in and asking for service. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Shoe Express and will be taking my future shoe-repair business elsewhere.
