The owner (I believe I spoke to Andy?) was nice and honest about what the price would cost to repair an old leather purse, including sewing up an exterior hole. No exorbitant pricing or highway robbery pricing here. He said it would be about $80 which is reasonable, but I recently realized that I won't use the purse that often as I don't even use it much now since I've grown out of using that bag since I've had it for over 13 years. Therefore, I don't think it's worth the price to restore that purse since I don't use it as much anymore. But I will definitely consider coming here for any future purse needs or shoe repairs! read more

I wanted to repair the torn seams on a kayak seat, rather than buying new. The seamstress at my cleaners recommended going to a shoe repair shop because of the heavy, thick nylon webbing that needed to be re-stitched. This shop has the best reviews of the few shoe repair shops still remaining in the area. Great shoe repair! They will take care of your shoes and fix whatever is wrong. The downside to this business is the charge for repairing the shoe is often more than the shoes are worth. Went in to have some souls re-glued on the bottom of some older shoes and they quoted me 36 dollars. A little too high for putting some glue on. He explained to me he was going to have to takeoff the soul entirely, sand it down etc. I just wanted some glue to put the shoe back together simple easy fix! I understand it's a craft! From what I can tell seems like a pretty straightforward place. I recommend getting shoes repaired here if they are worth getting repaired. It was a waste of time and gas! I went to pick up my stuff on the day he said it should be ready, I even called him before going there and he said it's ready. When I got there, he said it wasn't ready yet and made a mistake that I can come back the next day. I told him I will be back in the next 2 days.. I really hoped I wouldn't be one of the disappointed and frustrated bad reviewers here, but after leaving a pair of dress shoes with a simple heel pad replacement for over two weeks to come back and 1) not able to find the shoes, and 2) they hadn't been repaired I am beyond irritated. Had to stretch my leather boots. He was patient and offered to keep my shoe another day until I am satisfied with the space for my toes.

I dropped two pairs of worn, scuffed black flats off. There was a delay in getting them as promised (due to a medical emergency!), but overall it was a good experience, he was very pleasant (much better than a place in La Verne) and both pairs of shoes looked much better than before (not 'brand new', but a lot closer).
