I repeated that I wanted a double cheeseburger. At the window the clerk was mad because she thought I meant a combo so she had to get it cancelled in the cash register. Fifteen minutes later I backed up (it wasn't busy) and inquired as to why I was still having to wait. They said they needed to cook it. I asked to cancel the order and was told I could only do that on the app. Then the manager (I guess) walked over with my hamburger in a bag so I said okay, never mind. She apologized and offered me a free frosty to try to make up for my wait. So she was conciliatory at least and I appreciated that. Third: Tonight I skipped the app and ordered at the speaker. The guy taking the order had trouble because I asked for a "Double Dave's" instead of a "Dave's Double". I got to the window, gave my money window closed (that's okay it was hot out. Window opened, handed a receipt, window closed. Window opened, handed a bag, window closed. The bag felt light so I looked and sure enough it held a small hamburger not the one I ordered and that the receipt showed. I waited. Window opened. Handed a different bag. I tried to explain that I had actually touched the food seeing if it was indeed the wrong item. She wasn't interested just took it back. My Wife is not a native English-speaker. She speaks well enough to be understood my most and is…read morevery polite. She has been refused service at this McDonalds location by a particular employee more than once. She typically goes into the restaurant to ensure she can be understood. On her first interaction with said employee, this employee was dismissive of Her and openly rude in front of customers and other employees. She left without being able to place an order and was embarrassed and frustrated. This McDonald's had been a go-to for my Wife for her favorite morning coffees (and sometimes breakfast for our boys). Since the first run-in, my Wife has tried to go back 3 or 4 times to try to go inside to place her morning order (early morning, anywhere between 6:15am to 7:15am, after posted opening hours). While She was outside in the cold, knocking and waving (while the store is supposed to be open), this employee has intentionally ignored her while talking and laughing with coworkers. On one occasion, the employee gestured to my Wife to walk to the entrance on the opposite side of the building, which was also locked. This amused the employees. They did not make any attempt to open the door and continued talking to each other and laughing. This did not happen in my presence. My Wife is not a weak person, but She legitimately feels bullied after these experiences. I've noticed She seems less confident in similar situations since then. We will not be back to this location and suggest you do the same. Be kind. And Dairy Queen is better anyway.
