I would like to say that the customer service was top notch here. The young man who waited on us was super friendly and even when overboard to bring our food out when he saw I was not able to go for it because of where I was sitting. What keeps me from give 5 stars was the food. I got the box and the cheese sticks were cold and seemed to have been made for a while back same with the dessert item. I'm overwhelmed by the lack of customer care at this location. I placed my order online for pickup in store. When I arrived the employee said my last name and handed me a bag. I asked if the Arbys sauce was in the bag & and the Number of sauces in the bag. The employee stated he didn't know and the manager instructed him to give me more sauces. The employee then handed me a bag of sauces and I only took a handful when I left the restaurant I did not check my bagged order. When we got home we noticed half the order was missing. so my husband returned to the store to get our other half of the order while talking to the manager she blamed the whole incident on my on my wife and said she should've picked up the other half of the order. I explained to the store manager, she was handed the bag , why should she assume that there's another half of the order? The manager was very rude and very upset at me, but I was the one that was wrong by this transaction and the manager kept blaming my wife for not getting the other bag. It's Carlsbad, break it down: Carls BAD, as in just about every restaurant I've patronized has left much to be desired. I have a coupon for this place, 2 Reubens for $7.99. I order via drive thru, all is well....BAM.. just kidding!! Lady at window informs me the "coupon machine" is not working!! I've never heard of such a thing but I have now. Now she wants me to pay $15!! Why should I??! No one thinks about quality customer service anymore especially in this new America where 3 people care: No Bod Ee!!! Went through the drive thru and ordered an Arby's classic meal with crinkle cut fries and a regular coke. Waited less than 3 minutes in line. Person at window was patient as I searched for change and was polite as I got my food and asked for extra sauce. I was given a bunch of the requested condiments and extra napkins to go with it (intuitive!). The meal was warm, fries hot, coke cold, and no complaints. I got what I paid for - and will be back. Great alternative to McDonalds. read more

Just awful. Would rate it zero stars if I could. The restaurant is somewhat old and outdated, but we decided to give it a chance. Our family of 8 had half of our order wrong and we had to keep swatting at flies while we ate. All 3 bathrooms had "out of order" signs on the doors, which we thought was odd when we saw an employee enter, use the bathroom and exit. Likely they put up the signs so they wouldn't have to clean the restrooms. When my husband confronted the employee, he claimed they had "forgotten" to remove the signs and they were all working fine. We have eaten at Arby's several times over a period of a year, however during those times the meals were not adequate. We thought, let's try it again and see if there is any improvements. The staff was friendly and if I'm not mistaken, there was a manger on duty giving directions to staff and cooking. In addition, they was not busy. We ordered two meals, classic roast beef and classic French Dip with curly fries and tea. My wife had the French Dip and bun and/or bread was not fresh or old, tough to eat and/or too dip, probably to long in the micro wave and/or heat lamp, needless to say she did not finish her French Dip. My roast beef classic sandwich was good but the curly fries seemed to be overcooked and/or old. In addition, the fresh tea was weak probably trying to save money. For $17, it was not worth it, the value was not there and we will not be back, that was our last try. We have the hope, corporate management will change directions. read more

Completely overhauled by the Arby chain shortly after the health dept inspection. New management and staff. A real upgrade, clean, standard Arby's fare, and a very friendly staff now. They also installed free wifi. We go there all the time now for sandwiches. If you like Arby's anywhere, you will like this Arby's! I wish I could give it zero stars. Everything about this place is disgusting. Normally I wouldn't review a fast food place. But, this was bad. DIRTY! Like, wow dirty. Even the antiquated registers are caked is disgusting old food. I've been to many Arby's restaurants. I love them because usually they're not as busy as Mcds or the King. Which means they have more time to care about what they're serving you, and super spotless. I've never ever had a complaint about an Arby's. The food here was inedible. There has to be zero training going on in this store. They screwed up my order twice. I ordered mozzarella sticks, they didn't have marinara sauce. Are you kidding me? They gave me some sauce that was (made from berries?) the counter girl was a total waste of time. The guy was worse. Their card machine was broke or something. I said, "is there somewhere I can get cash nearby?" He replies "I don't know man, tomorrow you can go to the bank." I walked outside and there's literally a gas station in the same parking lot. I have never eaten here in Carlsbad. Just cause of the way the people that handle the food. They allow their employees have facial hair and not to mention the long hair that employees not required to wear hair nets. But really what irriates me is that I know and have seen the store manager lose her temper and throw a basket of hot french fries at one of her employees, cause the mgr can't handle a bus load of athletes passing thru. Also she mentioned towards this poor young girl about her lifestyle she lives. Therefore I will not support this particular restaurant in Carlsbad, NM. I have been to this Arby's in Carlsbad, NM. I think the food is very good. You cannot find prime roast beef just anywhere. The menu has changed since that frivolous review back in 5/2009 by Happy J. I was there in 2013 and everyone was kind and the building was just updated with a fresh look. Why would someone duplicate a State of New Mexico Environment Dept. Happy J from AZ should have his personal experience.. not govt. officials. So go there and ask for a sandwich with Angus Beef on Hawaiian King bread... enjoy wifi and a nice clean place to eat. The prices are higher than most fast food outlets... but with Arby's food.. it borderlines up to a good restaurant. read more

Stopped to have a meal at 9:08 PM only to find the doors locked even though it is clearly marked the dining area is open from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM. To staff members where close to the door and only looked at us and continued talking. They no move toward the door or try to motion to explain being closed against the posted time. We decided we would get in the drive through line and would have to eat our meal in the car which we did not want to do. As I baked out of the parking space one of the individuals stood there with a smirk on their face and waved. I have never been treated with such disrespect and utter contempt. I cannot believe the shift manager would condone such actions or that the franchise owner condone such actions by the manager allowing this to go on.
