I am so saddened to have to leave a negative review following my visit here this morning. My 15month old baby was waiting to be seen by Dr. Broome this morning and while crawling on the exam table a latch wasn't fastened correctly and the head rest piece dropped out from under her like a trap door and my poor baby fell and smashed her face/head on the floor. She was visibly shaken and upset, pale and dazed and even started throwing up ( signs of concussion) after a very quick and brief look over from Dr Broome he left the room to attend other patients ( which was fine as I was calming my baby) but when he returned for the rest of her visit he seemed not too concerned about the fall and head injury. He checked the table stating he'd never seen it happen before. He did check baby's ears and eyes but to me ignored the clamminess, pale and dazed way she was looking. I am very non confrontational and maybe didn't clearly express my concern. So after being cleared to leave we left. I will not be returning to MVP Kids as the situation left a bad feeling in me about the care that was given to my girl today.

My kids are very social so to reciprocate in their friendliness really means the world to them. We didn't really see a whole lot of that, even from the assistants who came in to do the vitals. I guess the Dr they saw is no longer in the practice now. So when my son was sick a week ago, I swore he had pink eye. All the signs were there. His allergies were also horrible. They put us with Dr Gosnell (Heather). Dr Gosnell checked him and said "it's a viral infection" and recommended only "honey" to help his cough. (He is 6, so old enough for medication.) Now it is Saturday and we are in Urgent Care where he has a 103 fever, double ear infection, and huge puffy eyes. The Dr told us this is due to his allergies getting really bad and we should have been prescribed a steroid, antibiotics and antihistamine at our Dr visit with her. I'm pretty upset that we could've avoided this whole thing. Now my baby is in so much pain and suffering. We will give the office another shot, but will NOT be seeing Dr H Gosnell. I realize she can't predict the future but he was already suffering when she saw him and could've nipped it in the bud then instead of not even recommending over the counter medication not "honey".

He has stood by us through some incredibly tough times, consistently showing genuine care and compassion that I have never encountered in another provider. We feel truly blessed to have him not only as my son's doctor but as a trusted friend. What sets Dr. Hartsook apart is his ability to communicate; he explains every situation in a way that is easy to understand, avoiding confusing medical jargon and ensuring we are fully informed. Despite how busy he is--often booked months in advance because he is so highly sought after--we have never once felt rushed. Every appointment feels personal and thorough. You can truly tell when a provider is passionate about their work, and his love for what he does shines through in every interaction with his patients and their families. While we are partial to Dr. Hartsook, the entire team at West Valley Pediatrics is outstanding. Every medical provider here is amazing, and I am confident that anyone choosing a doctor at this practice will be highly satisfied. If you are looking for exceptional care for your child, I cannot recommend Dr. Hartsook and West Valley Pediatrics highly enough.

I've Been a Patient Here for Years, and the Care Has Always Been Exceptional…read more I have been coming to this doctor's office for the past few years, and every visit has been a positive experience. The entire staff is consistently warm, welcoming, professional, and genuinely caring, which makes such a difference. The office is always clean and has nice decor. Katrina, NP, is simply the BEST! She is friendly, compassionate, knowledgeable, and incredibly competent. She always takes the time to listen carefully, never makes me feel rushed, and addresses every concern with kindness and respect. I truly appreciate the exceptional care she provides. She provides the same great service on Telehealth appointments. I know some people mention that some providers occasionally run behind schedule, but if they're running late, it's because they're giving the patient before you the same exceptional care they'll give you! The company may only allow appointment slots that are 10-15 minutes, but many patients have complex medical concerns that simply can't be addressed that quickly. I'd much rather wait a little longer than feel rushed through my appointment. As a medically retired registered nurse, I recognize quality healthcare when I see it. Katrina, NP exemplifies the kind of provider every patient hopes to find. I am grateful to have her as part of my healthcare team and highly recommend her and the wonderful staff at this office.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel other patients should be aware of our experience…read more My father is 82 years old, diabetic, and on dialysis three times a week. On June 24, his pharmacy notified us that his medication required a prior authorization from this office. Because the authorization was not completed and the medication was medically necessary, we had to pay out of pocket to ensure he did not go without treatment. Since then, we have called the office numerous times, spoken with multiple staff members, and repeatedly explained the urgency of the situation. Despite multiple follow-ups and escalations, the prior authorization was still not completed in a timely manner. We were even hung up on during some of our calls, making an already stressful situation even more frustrating. At no point did we feel that the seriousness of my father's medical condition was being taken seriously. What is most disappointing is that my father, an elderly patient with significant medical needs, has had to endure the stress and uncertainty of this situation. He is fortunate to have family members who can advocate for him, make repeated phone calls, and navigate the healthcare system on his behalf. I cannot help but think about patients who do not have that support. No elderly or medically vulnerable person should have to fight this hard to receive a medication they have already been prescribed. It is deeply concerning that clinical issues like medication prior authorizations appear to be handled through a call center that is unable or unwilling to appropriately address urgent patient needs. Patients deserve timely communication, compassion, and a process that prioritizes their health--not repeated transfers, unanswered requests, or disconnected calls. The way this office has handled this situation has been unacceptable. I am sharing our experience because I genuinely do not want another patient or family to go through what we have experienced. I sincerely hope this practice improves its prior authorization process, communication, and overall care for medically vulnerable patients.

Have your questions ready and they'll spend the time answering them. I've never heard complaining about how quick office visits are before. Most people complain about how long the wait is. I love that I can get in and out. They're clean and super friendly. They're honest about concerns and very informative. Not just yes or no answers. They explain why. The waiting room is very big so you're not cramped with sick kids and they even have a sick and well visit side. I do wish they had stickers for after to calm the kiddos after shots. They might but I've never gotten them. Their triage phone line is also amazing. They're quick to call you back after hours so you are comfortable and know when something is serious or normal. Great for first time Mom's. They also have an online portal for messages, billing and record notes you can refer back to. I wish the portal had check up reminders so I know when the next visit our immunization should be. And the message could be quicker in response but I just call the triage instead so not a big deal for that. All in all I'd recommend it.

Horrible experience. NEVER work with "dr" Stephanie altamura…read more The reason for the parenthesis is she did not conduct herself as a DO and is very rude and unprofessional. Wish I could give her zero stars or less! Had to come to this location after my longtime care provider in the surprise office left. She was always 10/10 amazing in every way and never treated us the way altamura did . My kiddos have been at DVP since my son was a newborn (he is going to be 9) and my daughter is turning 5. I have never encountered a provider as rude and unprofessional as Stephanie Altamura. Our appointment was scheduled for 3:30 PM, but we were left waiting in the exam room until 4:35 PM--over an hour past our time. During the wait We saw the MA for vitals and a student, but not the person we scheduled the appointment with. When Altamura finally arrived and I asked for an estimated time on the remainder of the appointment as my kids were antsy and tired of being there, she became immediately hostile. Instead of apologizing, she tried to blame the delay on the fact that her student was asking us questions and claimed my children were "acting up." It was absurd for her to blame a student interview that happened during the wait for her own tardiness. It seemed as if she used the student to buy herself more time before starting the actual visit. She was very argumentative and also tried to say that every doctors office we go to is like this and we will have to wait this amount of time. It was normal and she did nothing wrong and has been on time all day. The MA that roomed us apologized for our long extensive wait and noticed we had still not been helped. She's the first provider we have ever had this issue with since we have been patients with this facility. Keep in mind... I work in healthcare! And I am also a provider. I have never made a patient wait on me longer than 10-15 minutes and if I did, they received a long explanation and an apology. The situation escalated when the Office Manager Terri came in to mediate. While the manager was trying to apologize and explain that the office was overbooked, Altamura repeatedly interrupted us, talking over me, and sarcastically laughing the entire time I was trying to communicate with management. Most disturbingly, she then proceeded to handle my children with aggression. She grabbed them roughly to check their eyes and ears, snapping commands like "move" and "get down." My children were visibly shaken and scared by her erratic behavior. This was my final straw and I ended the appointment immediately. Terri followed me out and apologized for Altamura's unprofessional behavior and admitted she was in the wrong. As a medical provider myself, I know this behavior is unacceptable. I would never make patients wait over an hour, blame them for it, and then treat them with such hostility. I urge new patients to stay away from this provider. I will now take my kids where they are properly cared for and with providers who carry dignity and respect for their patients. Disgusting behavior .
