The second time my kid wanted to come so we purposely drove out to it. This time we left early because it didn't feel safe. We went to the bathroom and there was a homeless person in there occupying the handicap restroom, most likely doing something illegal. Her arm was sticking out under the stall and it felt kind of scary. I had to usher my kids out as quickly as possible. When we got back to the playground, tons of trash. A toddler pulled down her pants to pee on the ground. A bunch of teenagers were at the toddler playground without shoes on, occupying the "inside" of the playground. Worried my kids had to go to the bathroom again, we left early. It didn't seem sanitary nor safe anymore. We will not be back.

I'm talking beach sand, not the gravel or bark that you find at most playgrounds, but real sand. However, it's the pump water faucet which flows into the sand that makes this park "whoa daddy, that's awesome!" Forget Alki, lets make sand castles in Kent! As mentioned in other reviews, it's a park that was put together in coordination with Disney so there is a bit of a theme to it. There are hidden Mickey Mouse's to find around the park and other "games" that are set up to try and find hidden objects. There are definitely some teaching and discovery tools set up around the play area. I'm pretty stoked Yelp discovered this park for us. According to my son, we will definitely be back.

Oddly enough, the kids that come to this park always seem to be a lot more open to playing together with other kids more so than most other parks we've been to. Maybe it's the way the playground is designed, it brings kids together for fun more than just independent playground playing. They have swings and tennis courts too! One of our favorite parks to visit and it's always been kept clean when we go. Also close to a bit of shopping and restaurants but the park is far enough off the main roads that I don't worry about any incidents. I will say that the parking lot is rather small and it can be very challenging to find any parking during the summer. When I arrived on this particular day, there was literally a line out to the road with vehicles trying to find parking. It can get pretty cut throat, too. The park itself is generously sized, in the splash pad has a lot of unique features that my kids really enjoyed. My favorite part is that they had features for small children as well as larger children. Usually when I go to other splash pads it smells funky or like chlorine. But this location smelled fresh and seemed to have been upkept recently. Western Washington is a notorious area for high amounts of trafficking, so I always have to keep an eye out wherever we go. But thankfully, this area seemed pretty safe so we will definitely be back next summer for more playtime.

The best part is you can visit their website and you can check if the water is okay for the kids to play with . There's usually an update regarding if you can swim and such. The only thing I'm worried about is when there is no one there to facilitate the other kids swimming, because I noticed there were lots of kids who goes there without their parents or guardians. The cops do come around for their rounds sometimes, but not all the time . I always have my eyes on my kids because there were sooooooo many people and soo many kids during school break holidays and I can't even imagine summer break. If you want to entertain your kids for hours bring them here and just have a picnic and enjoy the sand with the kids. Don't forget the shovel and bucket though lol.

Some of these paths link ip to the BPA Trail, a walking and bicycling path.

Picnic tables and lots of trash cans. This park is well maintained. The restrooms are clean as well. Lots of grass for sun bathing, playing kick ball or throwing the frisbee. This is my neighborhood park so I come here often. My daughter loves the swings. I feel that they could add some newer toys on the playground- they are extremely dated.
