This is actually the second time I've used Arbor fence and that was about 100 feet of backyard fencing, this time it was 96 feet of side yard fencing. The crews are very professional and do a fantastic job and to top it off they are fast! read more

Start to finish this was the best project we have undertaken ever! Our new fence is beautiful and there was one tiny little tweak. My husband wasn't happy with and low and behold they show up the next day and correct it. I've been dealing with Cassidy on the phone and is she ever a sweet professional employee! We will recommend this company every time and they will finish another side of our fence this spring. That alone it was just so kind because our one neighbor couldn't afford to help during Christmas, but said they could later. Most companies would say no we'll finish it when we can do the whole job. Not arbor fence! They were just so professional. Thank you again Cassidy for all you do! If I hadn't just gotten out of the hospital I'd get up and go take a picture but I wanna wait till all the plants and everything are back, and I will add the pictures later! read more

Did not communicate the start date; I accidentally found out from our neighbor. But work was good and timely.

We had one of our best contractor experiences with Arbor Fence. Their estimator showed up on time and we received an estimate within a week. I expected Arbor's estimate to be higher than other contractors I contacted, but their estimate was the lowest of any contractor who was willing to put their estimate in writing. Their office staff was right on top of the job and got us scheduled within two weeks of signing the contract. The crew showed up on time and got right to work. They were respectful of our property and worked quietly. The fence looks great and it is a quality build with good materials. The posts are set in solid with wet-mixed concrete. They cleaned up the area and even replaced the bark I raked back from the fence line. Aside from having a beautiful new fence, you couldn't tell that anybody was working there! Arbor is a very professional contractor from start to finish. read more

Their bid was little more than half of another. They were quick and efficient and even when I added a significant complication at the last minute, the final price was fair. I am very happy. read more

They have repaired damage from fire. Awesome job, efficient and effective. They are on time and do good work. They leave the job site clean.

I would give five stars for the quality of the fence and the end result. The crew did an overall great job. I give them four stars as a result of the crew cutting down a healthy, mature oak tree without consulting with us first. This happened just hours after I communicated with them that "NO trees should be cut to accommodate the fence." I recommend communicating not only with the crew, but the office as well, and remaining on site each day to oversee their work. I recommend them, just keep an eye on their daily work. read more

Arbor did a terrific job on a somewhat unusual fence, with special requirements. The crew was great, and execution of the project went very well, and exceeded my expectations. They kept me informed of choices - and potential problems - and the fence looks great. read more

Very happy with my new fence! Old fence was down and new fence is up in the space of two work days! I don't have to worry about my dog possibly escaping through the decrepit fence anymore. Went with a horizontal fence, akin to what you see at Starling Bar. It's a neat trick of the eye that the horizontal slats make your yard look bigger, so it's well worth any extra expense to have it done that way. I am happy with the workmanship, and I think it well represents the cost. read more

The neighbor was insistent on using this company because she used them many years ago. The estimator came out and was extremely rude. Turns out he is the owner. I don't understand how anyone could hire someone that is so incredibly rude and abrupt. He was there for 4 minutes and took no measurements. Our other neighbors were delighted with Redwood Residential. It's time to try a new company, I'm not paying someone that doesn't really want our business. read more

Arbor Fence was professional, personable and articulate right from the get go. Which was very comforting considering I shared fence lines with four different neighbors. I did wait for a week to get my estimate but it was well worth the wait. As you know it is extremely hard getting everyone on the same page and to agree. I highly recommend Arbor Fence to anyone who is looking to work with a small local trustworthy company. My fence was not easy to build, I had a large retaining wall and it came out great. I no longer worry about all of that dirt sliding into my house. Well worth the money! read more

Quality work, clear communication, reasonable price. I've had them out twice , once for install of a new split rail fence, second time to repair a much older part of the split rail fence. Beautiful. Highly recommended. read more

Radolfo and his crew were true professionals. They protected our property and cleaned up after themselves and our fence looks stunning. I would give him the highest rating available. read more

They hired cheap labor that didn't understand about code or drainage. 5 years after my 6x6 gate post went in, it was just replaced because it rotted out. It should have lasted 20 years. read more

A cautionary tale...a prompt, competitive quote is only meaningful if the vendor executes. Learn from my experience - always, always make sure a proposal includes a drop dead start & completion date. I engaged Arbor on 3/2/17 for 3 projects - one of which was to replace a front fence lost in a recent storm, Here's what happened: March 2 2017 - I was told all 3 projects would commence the 3rd week of March and that I'd receive a call "shortly" to confirm. I never received a call and the 3rd week of March came and went. March 28 2017 - I called and was told I was tentatively scheduled for April 6 and that I would receive a call to confirm. No call - April 6 came and went. April 10 2017 - I called again and was told the person with whom I previously spoke specifically recalls telling me the end of April. Never happened. Cancelled contract. Lots of neighbors lost fences in the recent storms and all have been replaced - except mine. Arbor clearly over committed and put their interests above customers. Starting again - next engagement will be contingent upon a start/end date. Good luck! read more

I had done business with Arbor fence in the past and did not have any problems. So, I decided to contact them in regards to putting a railing and a pedestrian gate around my front porch. The estimator came out, I gave him pictures and he made measurements for the gate and railing. This was in November 2018. I never heard back.....ever! Called multiple times to find out when the quote would be ready. Each time I was told a message would be left for the estimator. It is now February 2019. Needless to say, I went with another company to do the work. If you are too busy, or just don't care about the job, it is better that you let your customers know so they don't have to waste their time with a company who doesn't seem to care about repeat business. I will never use them again and do not recommend them. Very unprofessional! read more

This place has a beautiful website with lots of pictures. On the website is a form to fill out to set up an appointment. They give you the choice of two preffered times. I filled out the form along with the comments about what I am looking for. I was expecting to get a confirmation email and then an appointment at my home to go over the available choices of woods, styles, costs etc. Instead I got a series of emails with an estimate for 50 bucks a foot for fencing. I am also interested in a gate but for a driveway but they only quoted me for a walk through. After about 4 emails I gave up. The other fencing people I have called are willing to come out and give me a free estimate, but this company did not seem to want to be bothered. read more

The owner of this company should not be allowed contact with people. He is a rip-roaring a-hole that was obviously so offended that I would ask him for some pricing estimates that he started yelling at me, saying he would fire anyone that provided an estimate. I wasn't looking for any guarantees on cost, but never having had to replace a custom wrought-iron fence, I don't think it's so outlandish for someone to say "well, of course each fence is different, but we just did one that is similar to what you've described, and it cost approximately ... No, this guy flew off the handle and wound up storming off with a word. What a jerk. I'll be looking elsewhere, needless to say. read more

The "Owner" came out to give us an estimate on a deck we wanted built. ... he spent less than 5 minutes doing the estimate. It took about 5 days to get the proposal . When we got the proposal, it had NO BREAKDOWN OF FEES -- only a total cost of about $4k for an 11x17 Redwood Deck. We emailed him for a breakdown, which we got a few days later. I then asked for a few minor things added to the agreement: 1. $300 off his asking price (which matched another estimate) 2. Change the existing term (50% on job startup) to 50% on job startup after all materials on list are delivered to said property. (MAKES ENSE RIGHT?) 3. Please list an exact start date and exact finish date. (MAKES ENSE RIGHT?) 4. I also requested a "Notice to owner Form" (this form protects the property owner by notifiying them that labor and materials were used on this property and for you to get lien releases from the general contractor and his suppliers to make sure they (lumber company) have been paid and do not lien your property) [STANDARD IN THIS BUSINESS -- i have been told] ALL (3) of my other estimates gladly accepted these terms. Arbor Fence replied to my email saying: "The Owner is no longer interested in your business" . Of course, before I asked for these terms, they called me for several days wanting my business. Not very professional, to say the least. I cant comment on his work because I would never give him a shot to do it after the way I was treated .... but I can say, BEWARE. ANY CONTRACTOR THAT DOES NOT GIVE A BREAKDOWN OF FEES, AND TURNS YOUR BUSINESS DOWN IN THE FASHION THEY DID BECAUSE OF A LEGIT DOCUMENT BEING REQUESTED AND WANTING CLARIFICATIONS IN THE AGREEMENT SHOULD BE APPROACHED WITH CAUTION. read more

After a strong wind weakened a 6' high wooden fence we share with a neighbor late last November, it only became weaker as time went on. We telephoned Arbor Fence and within a few days the owner, Ron, came out to our home assessed the problem, explained what he thought would rectify the problem and told me that a proposal would be coming within a few days. Lo and behold just a few days later I received an e-mail explaining what the process would be and for a fair and competitive price (not cheap but both fair and competitive). Ron came out a few weeks later with his crew and the fence was repaired and is now strong and can withstand more strong winds! All concerned were very professional and I believe we certainly received our money's worth! read more

Absolutely the worst treatment I have ever gotten from somebody. The estimator showed up and did not even get out of the truck, made an utterance of how he was supposed to get up the driveway, so I showed him the fencing area on the outside of the 1.33 acres that needed new fencing, so he could start there if he wanted to. He then drove to the corner of the property, turned around, and drove back and out on the highway, and was never heard from again. Now keep in mind we had just lost everything we owned due to the fires here in Napa, and I had waited three weeks for the appointment date due to their busy schedule. Never again, and I will tell everyone I know, not to do business with them. read more

Found this company in the Diamond Certified Directory (http://www.diamondcertified.org/report/arbor-fence-inc) and we couldn't have been more impressed. Only companies with the highest scores in customer satisfaction can qualify for this Diamond Certified status and being that this is Arbor Fence's 10th year in a row it was a no brainier choosing them over the other bids we got. We loved the personal attention from start to finish, the owner came out himself to give us an estimate and then he was there to review everything and start the crew personally. His daughter manages the office and was an absolute pleasure to work with - very knowledgeable and gave me tons of options to consider. See the link above for even more testimonials - you won't be disappointed. read more

Our fence fell over in the last storm, Arbor Fence was able come out and install a new wood fence very quickly. We now have more privacy and a beautiful new fence. The owner took good care of us, he was very knowledgeable! I highly recommend this family business. read more

I would have given Arbor 5 stars, but the failure to offer several bids based on the quality of the wood knocked it down a star. I would probably have been willing to pay more for a higher grade (instead of "common") but that's water over the dam now. They did an expert job, removing the old fence and installing the new one (about 60') in one day with time to spare! read more

Obtained multiple bids for an 8' high deer fence for about 500 feet of property line. In addition, there were some finer details needing design around a cattle gate and a private driveway entrance. All bids were comparable on price. I chose Arbor because I had a comfortable feeling when I met Ron, the owner. From there, it went great all the way to the finish line. The crew started as scheduled, the foreman invited every conversation needed as the project advanced, Ron's son Will welded a perfect new 16' double gate, the office staff kept me posted, and the job wrapped up on time and on budget. A family affair with real nice people. read more

Over priced for what you get. We used them just over a yr ago to install a fence around our front yard ... a bit higher than others but we went with them. This family owned business needs to learn what customer service truly means. I waited over 3 weeks for my estimate after being told it would be about a week and a half due to the holidays. After having to call and email and very politely ask multiple times when my estimate would be ready I was told the person doing the estimate was very busy. No apologies. The person on the phone wasn't the least bit friendly nor seemed like she wanted to help. While I am sure their product is excellent (I didn't use them) if you are looking for a company that offers good customer service along with quality products then Arbor Fence isn't for you. read more

Arbor Fence, Inc - Fences & Gates Near Me - Sonoma, California

We recently installed a swimming pool and had to have a pool lock and self closing hinge put on our metal gate, which is a small job. This was soon after the devastating fires in Napa and Sonoma Counties and we believed no fence company would take the job. I contacted six fence companies in Napa and Sonoma, which Arbor Fence Inc, was the only company who responded back. Genevieve asked that I send pictures of the gate and materials (which we had) to be installed. She also warned us that because of the fire, it might take awhile. Soon after, Genevieve contacted us and said they would be out to do the job and gave us the date. On that date, Wil called in the morning and was soon at our house. This day was during one of our storms and Wil installed the lock and hinge as heavy rain came down. Wil also made suggestions on a stop for the gate, so it will not slam shut and to reuse the old latch to keep the gate open, when needed. Wil needs to fabricate these two items, which he said might take a few days and they still need to be installed. But now the final permit inspection can take place. Excellent customer service and great installation work read more

We used Arbor Fence two years ago to replace the two side fences shared with neighbors and a new front fence with gate, all in cedar. They showed up on time and removed the old fence and installed the new fence efficiently and cleaned up when done. They even hauled away some old planter boxes with the old fence. Everyone was nice and when asked to do something extra, they complied. Two years later we needed our taller back fence replaced and Genevieve came out to estimate. She made some suggestions that saved on the cost and threw in some extras after the estimate was made. The crew (Juan, Miguel, and Rogelio) came out and finished in 2 days. They did a great job and avoided the rose bushes and cleaned up when they were done. I wish I had replaced it sooner, it looks so good from our kitchen and family room. They were easy to work with and listened when I had questions and even repaired a board that had bowed on the side fence. I used to build fences and decks years ago, but physically can't do it anymore, so if I was happy, I would think anyone would be happy. read more
