GodKid and spouse booked this place for the wedding reception. And it's a good one! I thought it was cool to find a screen of all the guests' names and table numbers soon as you walk in (far more convenient than place cards!) and the welcoming area for drinks and apps pre-meal/pre-wedding program was cozy. (It could been a bit roomier, but worked out.) But the ballroom is a different story. There was definitely plenty of space for everyone there including a separate stage for the DJ, private seating for the couple and a separate area for the bar. Lots of room for dancing as well. The venue made sure we had lots of room to move around. The staff was mindful about picking up dirty dishes and utensils. They were also excellent at making sure we had plenty of water to go around. When we made requests for extras (butter, bread, etc.) they were delivered quickly. It was perfect for their intimate wedding for a party of about 150. PARKING: If you arrive early enough like I did, you'd be lucky to find street parking right up front. Otherwise, it's valet parking at $15. No idea what pricing is, but it's a pretty nice place for a celebration. We had a wonderful time! read more

Echoing similar comments here that NO ONE who lives around this place has any love for it. Back in the day the place used to be owned by people who held a dance studio and tasteful events and whoever runs it now is playing at some kind of trashy dance club. If they want to play terrible music at full blast until 2AM they should find a building that can host those kinds of parties.. and find a parking lot that can accommodate their guests? You rent the place and your guests STILL get charged for valet parking... and then they go ahead and park cars on the sidewalk lol. With so many other nice venues around the area, its crazy to me that anyone would choose this one. read more

I have been here many times over the years for events but I never wrote a review. Well ... better late than never. Friday evening was my nieces wedding reception at Arbat. We had a blast, we really enjoyed the food. Everything was fresh, delicious and well presented. I loved the roasted cauliflower and the jalapeño cheese byorek. I think I ate three byoreks lol. They have many salads, grilled veggies, cheese etc. the hot foods were delicious as well especially the pork kebab. Omg ... Yumm. Served while it's hot with Lavash and tomato relish. Customer service was ok, not the best but not bad either. The ambiance is great, good lighting and spacious banquet hall. Arbat is a nuisance to the Burbank community. They play their music loud at the expense of the residents living around the neighborhood and allow their patrons to spill out into the sidewalk and scream all hours of the night. Hardly the classy venue they advertise to be. It's clear they do not have the soundproofing that any self-respectable venue like this would require for the music they play. read more

Arbat is the absolute best banquet hall. My husband and I just had our wedding there a week ago, and we still cannot stop raving about it. Not only is the hall absolutely beautiful and spacious, but the food is incredible. All of our guests were impressed by the quality, freshness, and tastiness of it all. Additionally, despite having a very large guest list (400+), the hall was able to accommodate everyone and organize the seating so that it didn't feel crowded at all. And lastly, we were blown away by the amazing customer service we received from Arbat. The owners are the sweetest and were so helpful in ensuring our dream wedding vision came to life. The banquet hall is beautiful , but the staff is incredibly rude, I was a vendor (photographer) for a wedding and when I went to sit at an empty table for dinner I was literally yelled at by 2 servers, I felt like a little kid being yelled at in that manner, it all happened to be a misunderstanding because that section was closed and we had to move. But the way I was treated was awful and I will advise all my future couples not to book this venue, I told the planner what happens and she told me that the staff was super rude to her as well. Don't host an event here, the parking was pre-paid and guests were still charged $15. Personal photographers were hired and they had their own photographers going around harassing guests to take photos and buy them even though they never had consent. The food is subpar and they are very wasteful. read more

We came here for my friend's wedding reception. This place was so beautiful!!! I loved the nice grand entrance when you walk in very classy and great pic spot. :) The servers were great and the food was delicious, I especially loved the beet salad and other salads I probably had 4 servings. It was soo good. I loved how everything was set up and the dance floor was nice and big. The only complaint was the chicken was a little dry but the rest of the meats were quite delicious. They have phone charging ports which was pretty awesome and the bathrooms were clean. We didn't have any issues with the servers especially the one who attended our table he was super friendly and was chatting with our table and was kind enough to take a few pics for us. All in all a great banquet hall, good food, good service and the smile on the brides face said it all. :) read more

My husband and I did our wedding at Arbat in January and we loved just how amazing the venue management and staff were at helping us every step of the way. Since both of our parents had gotten married at Arbat, it seemed like a natural next step for us to do our reception there too. From always answering our questions without hesitation to opening the hall for us to practice our dances, Hovik and management, helped us plan, visualize, and create the most magical wedding. With three tiers, a stage and a dance floor, there was plenty of room for all of our guests to enjoy. Our guests have been raving about the service and quality of the food ever since. Attended a quinceañera celebration here last night. Venue is large & nice but food was not good. They served on tables buffet style self served salads like arugala & Cucumber mango, seafood like raw salmon & tuna salad. Cheap cheese platter, humus & cold bread. Some potatoes & fish roll. Two hours later for main course kabob meats of beef & chicken that were over cooked to burnt. Apparently they have a venue photographer that goes around taking photos to make more money & charges $20 per photo. Weird because the family had their own photographer to record for the event. Oh & there's a $15 valet parking fee. I also heard my family was having a lot of issues with the event coordinator at this location. Would not recommend this place. read more

Elegant, formal, beautiful... delicious food... great service... Need I say more? Of course! celebrate any occasion in style at Arbat! I used to come to this place when they had a live show. Too bad they took that away. Last time we went for a wedding, we had one waiter service 3 tables. Three full tables that sat 14 people. I felt sorry for the guy. He was literally running from one table to the next trying to give them good service. The previous time, different occasion and we sat at a different location, But, it was FREEZING COLD. The AC above us was dripping water every 5 to 10 minutes. Just one drip. No big deal, right? Just move your chair over about a foot and it will miss you. lol However, the service was phenomenal! read more

I recently went here for a wedding and had such an amazing time! The food was good, the dance floor was big enough, I liked how they also had iPhone charging ports, and the bathrooms were clean. The only reason I have 4 stars instead of 5 was because the servers/waiters were awful! Usually in the beginning they pour you drinks when you sit and serve the main dishes but not here. Also, my husband asked for ice he brought it after 25 minutes and handed the bucket of ice to my husband in a rude way. Instead he can have asked can I pour some ice for you? Later we noticed all the tables around us had cakes but our table, once again the waiter had neglected us. So if they bring in better servers/waiters I think this place will deserve a 5 stars. read more

A BEAUTIFUL WEDDING AND CELEBRATION RUINED BY THE WORST WAIT STAFF ON THE PLANET. ======== I attended a wedding here last night so these events are VERY fresh in my mind. VENUE: The venue is very pretty. The space is large and accommodating and has a nice sized foyer and bar. Of course our bride and groom did a phenomenal job with color and flower choices. SERVICE: TERRIBLE is an understatement. In every encounter with the wait staff the experience went from bad to worse. I didn't get any names but wish I had and since I'm commenting fairly close to the event I'm hoping the management is able to identify the wait staff. The bartender service was beyond disrespectful. First off they were not familiar with what ingredients it took to make specific drinks. Next I witnessed them be extremely disrespectful to many guests. One of the bartenders was furious because a guest asked for a lemonade and 7up. He insisted that he cannot give it to him and he had to ask the waiters. Finally, he begrudgingly gave the guy the drink but not after proceeding to yell at him and say he will NOT give him another. Another guest asked for some mango juice and the bartender stared at him like he was dumbfounded. The waiters serving food were quite irritated when asked what a particular dish was. One waiter I asked looked at me (again the same dumbfounded irritated look) and said chicken.... Sorry I asked. One of the people at my table said they had never felt more like a second class citizen than they did that day. PHOTOGRAPHY: Finally, the going around taking pictures of guests for money. God that is so annoying. Nevertheless we pose with fake smiles so they go away. Good god, they are persistent, but we refused to give this business a single dime. In reading other reviews it's apparent that the management will probably reply with something like "our wait staff is trained to be highly respectable and helpful and we have no idea what you are talking about". Regardless I was there and experienced it first hand. If you plan to hold an event here, make sure you give the wait staff an attitude check or find another venue. They allowed outside photographers to come in to try to make money at a Private event without consent and when asked to leave they came back a second time to complete sales! I am extremely disgusted by how I received their attention. I SPECIFICALLY had a conversation with the owner weeks before, and had expressed to him that I will contact him. I called yesterday to speak with him or at least leave a number, and this arrogant and disgusting individual had the audacity to yell at me through the phone JUST BECAUSE I wanted to contact the owner. Who in the right mind has the mindset to yell at a customer. And so sad for them, I was extremely excited to bring in clients that honestly could have given them big time business. Owner was very unpleasant, unhelpful, and made no effort to communicate with me. I had a set appointment for a venue tour, after approaching a bar staff member, he went to look for the owner. Upon entering, there was a family sitting in the far back corner which seemed to be owners family as there was a child running in the venue and seeked attention from owner. Owner proceeded to inform my mother not to touch anything or get too close "because if you break, you buy". Then proceeded to answer a personal phone call in the middle of a question then stated "I don't have time, no questions, let's go back and run numbers". Of all the venues I have toured, this was the least personable. As if having my original venue shut down which lead to my wedding date being impacted wasn't already stressful as it has thrown me into a situation of having to hunt for a venue all over again, this experience was disheartening. read more
